These guys are the best. I had a big problem with an eBike that three other bike shops were not able or willing to deal with. They dove in, diagnosed and fixed the bike. Absolutely the BEST service!

Although they were not able to help me today, they took my problem seriously and coached me on how to fix it on my own. They could have taken advantage of my ignorance but did not. The staff treated me as an equal. Very happy with the result. I know where I will make my next bike purchase.

Absolutely phenomenal service! I was very frustrated with not being able to get my front tire inflated, I showed up without an appointment and they were able to not only inflate the tire, but get a few other things done as well that were on my to-do list. All of which for an extremely affordable price! Most importantly everyone treated me great, and the most adorable dog greeted me at the door.Thanks guy, Ill definitely be back soon!

This is a fantastic bike shop in Longfellow with great service and relaxed but very skilled workers. We stopped by one night a few minutes after close to replace some handlebars on one of our kiddos’ bikes and they were incredibly accommodating and welcoming even though they did not need to be. We will be back again and again.

I lucked out and found one of my top three choices actually available at OneOnOne. I sprinted for my CC (you have to act fast). After checking out, I immediately received a confirmation email -SCORE!- So the techy bits worked perfectly... no issues with inventory being off, or not updated because someone “forgot” to pull a bike already sold, or hadn’t been on the floor in the first place (Common issues at least for me these days).A couple days later I phoned in just to get a sense of when I could pick up my shiny new steed... “Two maybe three days tops” Zach told me... “Great! I exclaimed- I just so happened to have a need to be in the cities (I live by Wabasha) over the weekend - so the timing couldn’t have been better.Today - while in town I called again - and while it was still being built up, not quite complete, they pulled it off within a couple of hours of my arrival, including a tubeless setup!Gene spent time with me in their courtyard getting me fit for seat height, bar height and ran me through just about every aspect of the bike - walked me through the many options of accessories and kit I may need - even pointed out a great local coffee shop and taco stop to visit while they completed the build.All in all - it was a great experience, Jen and the wizard in the apron were also really helpful and answered every question I had.I imagine unless gas goes over $5 a gallon I’ll be stepping into their shop again quite soon! I got a flat rear tube and they determined the rear axle was broken at the time they replaced the tube. However, they told me due to my bike design they would replace the whole rear wheel including cassette, rim, and tire instead of trying to get some after market axle to work with it... I told them that was fine.When my wife came back to pick up the bike they had her pay before showing her the bike, and they replaced the rear tire and rim with ones that didnt come close to matching the rest of the bike... Think all black bike with black front tire and rim and a gumwalled striped (black & white) rear tire with a silver rim.I called them to complain and they acted condescending and even said I should have requested that the components match... As if that isnt customary? If you got a tire on your car replaced you wouldnt be cool with it being an entirely different color/style...They did end up fixing the issue after I insisted that they find matching parts. Though they never apologized once.I thought I would leave it be, but I am writing this in depth review a few months later after I have brought my bike to a separate bike shop for other work, and this other shop has noted $50 worth of damage due to shoddy work onsome of the components 1 on 1 had just replaced.I would not recommend going here.

Man I used to love it but somethings changed over time.Spent over 5 figures here on bikes in a few years and you can expect to keep getting gouged on small things and have the techs not listen to your initial request. had many experiences with surprise service charges for things I hadnt asked to be done, and half the issues I brought the bike in were never documented or solved...That being said, some nice guys here for sure. Zach has always been good too. Some of the others just seem to miss things and the mechanic abulity is meh at best, specifically for mountain bikes.

Bike shops can often times have an air of snobbishness to them. I recall once years ago walking into Flanders Bros Cycle in uptown surrounded by bikes worth thousands of dollars and me with my 1985 Schwinn WorldSport II with a flat tire. You could see the revolt in the guys face when he saw me and my old steel stead (Which I still ride) he quickly threw a bike pump at me so I could replace my tube and leave..I did NOT feel that way walking into One on One. The dudes were chatting about a bike they were working on and I waited the proper distance away... My issue was a bit unique.... I had smashed over a massive foot wide deep pothole on my E-Bike. Lost front and back tubes and the back rim (holding the electric hub motor) was bent badly enough it was catching on the rim brake..The turn around on re-lacing the hub to a rim was about 5 weeks which is understandable for peak summer time PLUS pandemic where biking is one of those nice things you can do responsibly and get fresh air..Calling 4 weeks later to check on progress I was informed that their supply chain has been suffering and they havent gotten a new rim to lace my motor into. They were super apologetic and appreciated my understanding..I was glad they were doing their best to get the parts needed to make the repair..The shop itself is super cool too. I didnt spend a ton of time in it but its nice and open and they have a cool patio area which hopefully when the pandemic is vaccinated theyll have some sweet outdoor events and stuff..Go show love to your local bikeshop!

Simply amazing! I haven’t owned a bike in a long time, and I was anxious about the prospect of buying one during Covid. But these guys helped me every step of the way! They were knowledgeable, extraordinarily responsive, and quickly got me everything I needed, keeping me updated on everything. They never tried to over or up sell me, gave me options and knowledge of pros and cons at each price point. And outfitted my bike with everything I wanted and needed. This is a super cool bicycle shop! They have a coffee shop at the front entrance and the parts shop in the back. There is a decent amount of second-hand parts and you can also source newer parts from here as well. This place is definitely worth visiting!The only reason why I am taking off a star is because I was let down by the pricing database they use. I was looking at a set of sti shift levers and the MSRP is around $200, their database said $250, and the market price is $150. I was hoping they would be closer to the market price, considering they were taken off of a new bicycle rather than in the retail packaging..

They recently built up a custom bike for me and I couldnt be happier! They took the time to sit down with me, review and discuss the components I was interested in purchasing. These guys are super helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend One On One!

Want to give a shout out to Geno. On a bike ride the other day, my daughter’s friend’s bike had her handle bars come loose. We were a few miles from home. We happened to pass by One on One and I figured I’d just stop in to see if they could help out. Walked back to the shop and Geno went out of his way to fix the problem. Bike is as good as new and we made it home safe and sound. Will definitely be using this shop for any future repairs. Small gestures are where you gain customers. Thanks for saving the day.

Definitely do not go here. I could write a few pages about the terrible service and attitude from these people, but lets distill it down to the fact that one of the owners charged me $1 for air! I have spent $100s there, but never another dime.

Rented a nice bike for a great rate for a few days while in town for a conference. Shop staff were so helpful and even delivered the bike to my hotel on a rainy Sunday. I highly recommend stopping in and checking out the new location!

Best bike shop ever! Amber helped pick the perfect bike for me to rent to explore the Grand Rounds.With Deans patient fitting I was able to ride 4 hours the first day even tho I hadn’t meant to! He supplied a lock, full water bottle and tool kit also. Upon my return it was super easy to pay and very reasonable.I come from a tourist area (Maui) and one day would have cost what 3 did here! And the people like Amber and the staff were outstanding. My only regret was being too wiped to hang out at the cafe and play that guitar! Thank-you for a great experience! 😻🚴‍♀️

Poor service, not sure what I paid for... I dropped off my bike and waited about 10 minutes to be acknowledged when two people were helping one person. I was later told it would be 3 days for a tune up - fine, I get that things can be busy and get backed up.10 days go by and I hear nothing. I called and they had lost the paperwork and said they would call back right away. 3 hours later I recieved a call to tell me the paperwork was found and the owner has his own way of doing things and they were misplaced and the bike would be ready the following day. I was later called and told the tune up was done and I could pick it up that very day.When I was paying, the guy didnt say anything about the delay, I mentioned it and asked for some help regarding that. The only reason this isnt a 1 star is that they gave me a 50% discount on the tune up. On my way home, I noticed that my handlebars were not remapped, nor were the brake lines replaced as was suggested. I do know that I got new breaks, though the play/movement in the handles is significantly different between the two.It looks like they have great products in the store, but the service, attention to detail, and communication are beyond lacking.

One on one is down to earth and super helpful. If I lived closer Id spend my whole paycheck there!

I stopped in at their new store. The staff isnt what I would call overly friendly but the store still has the coolest merch. The store is much more accessible for me now. Sad to see the basement junkyard is no longer. Nice to see a true independent shop still going after all these years!

Gene is the man!! He found the exact bike I wanted when literally nobody else in the country could find one because of low supply of XL frame size. They got it built and ready for pick up in a very timely manner as well.

Ordered a bike pump from these folks and the experience was great. A guy in the back bike shop took the time to go through my options because they didnt have what I was looking for in stock. The order came in sooner than expected and they contacted me right away. An added bonus is the coffee bar in the front of the store. The cold press was perfect for a hot summer day. I will definitely be using this store for my future biking and caffeine needs!

Whenever Ive been downtown and in need of a quick repair, One On One has always saved the day. Im a regular biker, but wouldnt consider myself part of the citys hipster bike culture. Ive never detected any attitude or bike snobbery here. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Very reasonable rates, and fast turnaround in my experience. Highly recommend.

Yes it can be a pain in the ass sometimes when its busy, but these folks will take good care of you and your two wheeled habit. It can seem intimidating or clicky at times, but this place and the characters who are housed within help make Minneapolis great. To know us is to love us... I recieved a flat right as I hit the bike path along the river. I called, and they were open till 3pm. I walked a few blocks, and they took my bike in right away, as I was on a ride with friends, and not close to home. They had me out in 20 min, all fixed and ready to roll. The staff was great, friendly, and most importantly, were not at all smug like other bike shops can tend to be. The iced coffee was good, but the service was great.

Took my fat bike in over lunch because I was having an issue with my front brake. They fixed it in 2 minutes, and charged me $5. Quick and easy. Ill definitely be going back here for my bike issues!

Just about the slowest turnaround time Ive ever experienced. Hell, as Im writing this review its already been 4mos with no resolution or updates to my warranty claim despite repeated calls, emails, and even contacting the bike company. Just go to Penn or pay insane prices at Eriks.

Can I leave a minus 10 review? On July 9th we took two 2 week old used bikes in to this shop and asked about shipping one to Florida. We gave them the other on in lieu of a packaging fee. Had to go back the next day to finalize details. Spent about 3 hours plus in the two days. Weve made several calls. NO RESPONSE. On July 31 they emailed a charge for shipping on our credit card. Now its September 5th. NO BIKE and NO RESPONSE to many, many calls & email. We are now out about $400 on bikes and $100 for the shipping charge. If they had not promised to ship the one bike we would have donated the 2 bikes to a charitable organization. Instead I now consider them stolen by One On One.STAY AWAY from this shop.June 2019: They did eventually ship the bike. Many months later.

I had dedicated a Saturday morning to trying to decide what kind of a used bike I wanted. One on one was the first shop I walked into and Andy was just the expert I needed. He worked with my budget and was thorough and helpful and talked me through everything I needed.I walked away with a bike that was everything I wanted. I couldnt believe it was that easy. Highly recommend visiting this place.

This shop provides awesome repair service, no doubt. I recommend you ask for Reedy for a fix up. They are great at giving tips and they will do their best to help you, but you have to get their attention first. In my experience, theyll take care of you, but you might have to wait in line. They go above most other shops in the city for what theyll diagnose and do without charging you, e.g. free air, fit you to your bike, tighten spokes, new valve cap, etc. The small stuff. They will sometimes stay open late for you. I take a detour to downtown instead of going to shops by my house because these guys are better. And so are the mochas.The biggest downside I have are the prices. They should definitely reevaluate how much they are charging and what they sell. Thats what keeps me and Im sure, a lot of others at bay. Also, downtown is midpoint for me and I dont mind hanging out while I get my bike looked at. The people are friendly. However, I can see how the atmosphere, isnt going to be for everyone -- especially if guys (not staff) are drinking midday.

Andy introduced himself immediately and then did an excellent job of telling me about One on One Bicycle Studio. I felt very welcome. He was very knowledgeable about all of the subjects, bikes, we discussed. Oscar, my dog, was treated well too. Job well done!

Brought my 16 year old Specialized Rockhopper in, they replaced a spoke, rear inner tube, brake pads, handle grips, and straightened my wheels all for $100. The turnaround was about a day and a half, just took it out for a few miles and everything is riding really smooth. Very friendly and laid back staff, Ill definitely be back next time my bike needs service.

I dont really like to ride bikes, but I do love to drink coffee and this place is great for that! Good coffee, delicious banana bread, and plenty of seating to read, work, and relax.

I dont know who bit them, but everyone except for cashiers were rude. One guy ignored my question where the register is now? for straight 15 seconds before finally pointing me in the right direction. Then I bought a seat and asked for help installing it. The second guy rudely said that they do not lend instruments of any kind (since when?) so I let him be. The third guy said that hed install the seat for $5, even though installing stuff I bought from them was always complimentary.After two years of being a customer, even though they are the most convenient bike store, but Im not coming back.

If you like surly attitude and over priced service, look no further! From the moment I stepped into the shop it felt like I was annoying the employees. No hello or can I help you? I was charged $99 for brake pads, tube and tire. They also took it upon themselves to install a new tire that I did not ask for and was not consulted prior. Its easy to say I will never go back to this establishment.

Picked up a wheelset from here two weeks ago. Was told it would only take two days for the back wheel to arrive and I still havent received it. Called a week after I ordered to check in and was informed the memorial day holiday messed with the shipping. Should be here Tuesday. Now its Friday and I still havent gotten any confirmation on where the wheel is or why its taking so song. On top of this it takes this shop 10-20 minutes to ring anything up paid with a card so bring cash.

Best bikeshop in Minneapolis. Great service regardless of your bike. A lot of cool urban stuff, but they are probably the bike shop that has the best MTB stuff in town. Just the display of cool old bikes and the coffee shop make it worth to go in and take a look.

I rented a Swobo Otis for two days and thought the $35 rate was very reasonable. The friendly staff had me fitted and on my way in 20 mintes, no hassle, a pleasure to do business with, and the coffees damn good, too.Frankly, being a 50 y/o geezer I thought Id be out of place at a shop like this (very hip, very cool) but the folks there were friendly and helpful. I just dont see what the other reviewers were complaining about . . . maybe they had a bad day, but I can only say nice things about these folks. If you need a bike rental this is THE place in Minneapolis to go!

The needless debate about whether this place is for hipsters is about a dumb as every other debate about hipsters on the internet. I took my uncool helmet, Giant 24-speed uncool bike riding person into this place because I had a flat tire. The guys in the back were super informative and nice. They fixed my tire with new tube and also some problems Id been having with my front derailer in about 20 minutes, paid $24 bucks with tube and some other parts. Great service, quick and the coffee shop makes it much more pleasant as a place to wait for your work to be done. The pay-by-the-minute pricing is great.

Stopped in after work to replace a spoke on my rear wheel. No one made them self available to me for a good 15 mins even after trying to solicit help from several employees. Eventually I cornered a mechanic and was told the cost of labor would be $20-40 to fix my spoke. Since my wheels were fairly old, I opted to buy a new wheel. Two weeks later it became apparent the spokes on the new wheel were completely loose. The wheel was so untrue that my tire rubbed against my bike frame.The manager informed me that my wheel was machine built and this defect occurs in 50% of the wheels he sells.

Would not recommend this shop to anyone. Worst greeting I have ever experienced in Minnesota. Had a question about my bike and the first person I talked to was extremely rude. They didnt tell me anything about my purchase so I had to call another bike shop for instillation help. Will not be support this type of service.

A very nice place to go to for bicycles and bicycle accessories

I got a flat on a friday night on the cedar lake trail. I called them up and talked to mike who agreed to stay after they closed. He changed my tube and retaped and said I could come back and pay him later. Truly wonderful.

Had my bike tuned here this spring - Awesome service at good prices and they have a bike pump out back for anyone to use.
