This is the best place Ive ever been in Mysore at so low priceEntry fees is 40 per Adult and 20 per child.Parking fees may vary from 20 to 40.The place is beautiful with many kinds of birds, plants and trees with their respective nomenclature. You can go boating, 90rs per head for 30 min, youll be able to see the heart of the nature only when you go for boating, of course youll understand when you visit there. Its a popular place for couples. Have a good time there! 🤗

This is a magical place. The lake is surreal, the bird sanctuary is something I would love to visit again and again. They have beautiful peacocks 🦚 making melodious sounds, a lot of greenery and overall very peaceful.Highly recommended.

Place is cool, boat ride is the main attraction. Lotus in the middle of the lake.Many birds are there and you can enjoy the peacock dance without a miss. Entry fee is 60/person and the fee for boating is seperate.

It was amazing. Especially the birds 🐦 aviary I got to see lots of peacocks and peahens and black swans and even doves. The bird view towers view was amazing. The only thing was the exit trouble. The view tower was the end but I continued to walk for almost 2 kms and was told that I should take a u-turn and the path I was walking on was just a walking path.There were no signs about the exit. It was really irritating. Otherwise its really amazing.

This place was near to the place where I was staying in Mysore. Took about 15/20 minutes of walking.Do not visit or plan to see this on Tuesday as it is closed. You can choose any other day of the week from morning to evening 05:30 p.m.Entry Charges :- Rupees 30.The place is so damn beautiful and so well maintained. Was expecting just a lake to be honest but it offered much more. Boating services are also available.There is a dedicated space (huge cage) given to birds like peacock, ducks, hen and many more to protect these species. You can see these birds up-close and take as many photos/videos possible.Few other birds are also there in their own cages.Apart from boating & bird watching you can take a long walk inside which is so pretty. The place is so quiet and filled with so many species.There are benches or places to sit inside and just relax and enjoy the nature.Take out an hour or two to get complete experience of this place.

Amazing place if you like birds especially peacock. Peacocks come close to you and give a show. It is almost as if these peacocks are trained. But they are used to people visiting them so they have become friendly. Well maintained park and it offers bicycle rides too inside the park. Boating was closed due to covid 19, but its a must visit place for nature lovers.

A nice place to visit with kids. Youll need around 2 to 3 hours to see everything. Each adult ticket costs Rs 40 and parking for a car costs Rs 50. The ticket is valid for 4 hours. The park itself is very clean and wonderfully maintained with all the plants and trees labelled with their scientific and common names. There is an aviary where you can see a lot of birds, especially peafowl. There is a large childrens playground. You can go boating on the lake and both paddle and rowing boats are available. The rowing boats have boatmen to take you while the paddle boats are to be pedalled. There is a bird watch tower where you can see the lake and all the birds coming to it. There is a butterfly park but we did not visit it as it was not butterfly season. Overall a good place to spend half a day on a picnic.

Karanji Lake and Park is one hell of a tourist spot which attracts tourists all throughout the year. families can literally spend their whole day here. You get to ho for a walk next to Lake, take a glimpse of few selective birds and animals in a spot, take a look at birds from the watch tower and spend some time at boating with families. Do visit here post monsoon. October to January 2021 is the best time to visit.

Boating is costlier than expected 60 rs for 10 minutes for a person and the water is not so good or clean other thing to mention is very good place to have a good 2 hrs of leisure time with family.

Best place to visit with friends. The bird watch tower provides a beautiful view of the lake. Few birds can be spotted in the lake. We can enter into the bird cages with peacocks and hen. They are not afraid of humans, if lucky u can have pictures with them. Water facilities are present at regular distances. The children park also has bird cages with many kinds of parakeets and finches.

Well its a beautiful place for all and for couples its like a heaven. Fully romantic place is this. 🤩It has a very large area, and consist of various kinds of flowers. Inside this, you can kind a small Bird Aviary where Im sure by looking to the peacock you will definitely love this place. You can boat here but nowadays due to COVID, boating isnt allowed. A beautiful calm park with variety of different bird species. The main attraction were the peacocks who gracefully flaunted their gorgeous tail. Its a must visit with family, friends and your loved ones.

One of few clean lung spaces of Mysuru, Karanji premises are a walker/jogger/cyclists delight. The greenery + variety of it is mind-boggling. The bird park is a treat with peacocks preening away, do ensure you keep a safe distance from them. The childrens play area keeps the lil ones engaged. Sanitization is in place. Social distance aint an issue even with weekend crowd. The lake maintenance is pathetic, needs plenty of work

Very well maintained and clean place. There is a Bird Watch tower but couldnt see any birds at this time of the year. There is a boating facility available with pedal boats and rowing boats. Make sure to carry hand sanitizers since the guard vests or the boats provided arent sanitized after each use.

Getting little commercial. Aviary is a unique attraction here. Moreover naturally such rare bird species are real delight. Love to visit this spot if possible each day. Try to stop boating - my honest request as a pollution hater. Control number of visitors as it spoils the ambience in such places. Try improve the nursery for or ornamental plants & make it accessible for plant lovers in more ways to buy plants.

Can take a walk with peace while enjoying the scenic, you can go to zoo from the park itself, if have plans to visit the zoo as well .there is play area for kids.. Can go boating, both peddling and rowing whichever we prefer.. in total, a nice walk with enjoyment.

We usually go for a morning walk - ticket price Rs 10 per head between 6:00 am to 8:30 am.Normal timings 9:00 am to 5:30 pm - ticket price Rs. 30 per head.We can go for boating .We can watch many birds .There is also a big watch tower to view the lake and birds.It is the part of Mysuru zoo but we need to buy a separate ticket or we can buy a combo ticket.Very very peaceful place in the nature.The garden is well maintained.We can seen and learn various thousands of different plants here.There is also a childrens park inside with many play items like different swings , different slide plays, see-saw play, mess plays etc...We can also go for bicycle ride here inside.Plastic free zone.So please dont use any covers or throw garbage here.There is also a crocodile in the lake so be careful.The entrance is from the MG road on the way to Chamundi HillsOne can plan Mysore Place , Karanji lake andChamundi Hills, visit on a single day trip.For local people it is better to visit here in the early morning.

We were here during December and the place was lush green. It has a large area for children to play. There are variety of birds - sparrows, parrots and more. Theres a habitat area for peafowl and similar birds. The lake is beautiful and clean. Theres boating option also. During covid, it was closed though. The place has lot of stone benches for sitting and spending time. Theres entry for zoo also through the park. Overall its a must go to place. Try to avoid taking car as the parking cost is very high (50/- INR). Per head entry is 30/- INR. Or go early morning and spend as much time as possible. It is worth the money.

If youre looking for a relatively less crowded and peaceful attraction in Mysore, this is the place. It might be a bit tiring to walk around, but will be worth it.

There is greenary everywhere, filled with lot of trees. Lake is well maintained. Sun rays falling on the lake in the evening makes it even more beautiful.. But felt little short of my expectation.

Rather well maintained and clean. Aviary was not the best but plenty of peacocks were roaming free. The lookout was pretty and offered amazing views. My only gripe was that it was a lovers paradise.....more like a romance location than a family park.

I loved this place. Very calm and its wide. Floura and founa grown here are so versatile. The park with birds including peacocks and ducks is wonderful to see as peacocks 🦚 dance in front of you without any hesitation. Top view into the lake is breathtaking. Must visit in the early mooring for wholesome view. I visited during lockdown, in not sure about the crowd here. Parking is not free.

The place offers botanical names for the plants & trees inside which might be useful for many including kids.One might be tiresome as it has a long path which you can choose whether to walk or take a bicycle to get around.There are different sections: Plants & Trees, Butterfly park, Childrens park, Green house for plants, Birds park, Boating & a way to the Zoo.

Abode of peacocks in all their glory. There are a lot of them here, all casually wandering around you on the ground or perching on the trees above. A short drive from Mysore city centre. Other than the peacocks there are some swans and love birds as well. A very nice place to wander around or sit quietly.

Had fun riding peddle boat here. Mornings are breezy n refreshing. Walk around the garden also is refreshing.

Place is really very beautiful, but the guards are a nuisance. Very rude and belligerent.The place as such is scenic and beautiful with a food court (you have to take your own food and water) a park for kids to play, beautiful gardens to relax, different and rare plants are at display and the most sought after - the bird enclosure. You can literally touch the birds. There were wild fowls, black swans, and peacocks. We must have seen a minimum of 15-20 peacocks and almost all of them had opened up their feathers and danced.My 9-yr-old daughter was dumbstruck and so were we. There were a couple of white ones too. We visited with our parents and kid and also a young couple, our neighbors, joined us. We all enjoyed a lot. I would recommend everyone to visit there once.PS: if you are too lazy to walk, they have bicycles too.

One of the best parks in the city. Its very big and very green and clean. There is boating if you are interested. But the calm and serenity would be enough if you love to spend some time in peace. Children can have fun as there is a child park while you sit and relax watching them play. The best thing is there is a huge bird enclosure with too many peacocks and other birds which you can see at your arms distance. There is drinking water facility but no cafes or snack points inside. So be sure to get some snacks for children.

Have an entrance to the zoo via this park, has enormous birds from different countries, never know how time flies, has a ticket for entrance, parking, and extra fee if you carrying a camera. Boating isnt allowed during the rainy season. Lokesh has several numbers of services in here and he looks after about food and is very friendly to reach out for any questions we have regarding birds.

One of the best side seeing place in Mysore. You can find a very good greenary here. Early morn and Evening time it will be too nice to spend a time. You can see variety of plants here which they have maintained very well. And the most beautiful creature of the God thats peacock, you can find 10 to 20 peacocks in the same place. And so many other variety of Birds you can see here. There is a lake in which you can go for Boating. But if there is no water they will avoid boat rides for Public. And there is a strict rules not to carry any Plastic items inside the lake to save our mother earth. You can visit this place without fail if you are going to Mysore.

Superb place for nature lovers. Peacock enclosure is the best where you can go inside the enclosure and watch Peacocks, Black Swans, parrots, wild pheasants and many more in their natural habitat. The caretaker is very good and explains very nicely about the various birds, hats off to him for maintaining the place so beautifully.

Beautifully managed park in Mysore city. The park is present within city. Best time to visit is in the evening. It is adjacent to zoological gardens. Entry ticket for adult is Rs.30 and Rs.20 for children about 5 years. Still camera Rs.100 and Video Camera Rs.200. Car Parking Rs.50 for 4 hours.One can also buy combo ticket for Karanji Lake and Zoo gardens. There is an entry within the park.Lake is serene, peaceful. Aviary is good, where you can view peacock, swan and few other birds.Orchids garden is small but good, there is a bird watch tower which you can climb.Butterfly garden is filled with colorfull butterflies, one needs to walk for 1.5-2 kms from the entrance.Park is well planned as it has drinking water facility, childrens play area and even place to eat food.

This is a lake located in the city of Mysore in the state of Karnataka, India. The lake is surrounded by a nature park consisting of a butterfly park and a walk-through aviary. This aviary is the biggest walk-through aviary in India. There is boating facility available at a cost in the lake which is a must try for any visitors, but be sure about the availability of water nowadays as the lake is almost getting dried and hense boating is temporarily stopped. There is also a museum, the Regional Museum of Natural History which is located on the banks of this lake. A nursery also inside the park but nothing available for public sale. Drinking water, restrooms everything is well arranged for the visitors at every short distances. A watch tower also there to view the birds and the lake. Childrens park is made near to the gate which is very beautiful and safe for kids to play. Open gym also available to workout in the middle of awesome environment. Karanji lake is owned by the Mysore Zoo Authority and is connected internally with the Zoo, so one can buy their tickets together to get at little discounted price. Cycles are also available with refunda9deposit with nominal charges for different times starting from 30 minutes. So in final, it is a must visit beautiful park in the center of city almost very near to Zoo or Mall of Mysore.

Its right beside Mysore zoo and diagonally opposite to Mysore Race course and its one of the underrated and less visited place in mysore. Its a lush green Lake with lots of flora and fauna, apart from it the authority also has augmented the fauna by bringing in exotic birds in association with the zoo of mysore, few benign birds are in an open cage where you can witness them very closely like ducks,swans, peacocks and chickens and other burly birds such as Rheas and kiwis are kept in conventional cages.Its one the great place to come if you have kids as there are kids play ground or also if you just want to sit alone and contemplate about life you can do that too in the secluded benches and watch towers.Apart from it there is boating which is inexpensive (might be closed in summer) and the boating experience here is different as you have small lake islands and you can circle around them though you are allowed to get out of boat.I would surely add this place to my tour list if I am visiting Mysore.
