Really peaceful and nice place to visit In mysuru . When i entered it looked the same as other park is mysuru . Until i saw that big bird cage near 6 to 8 peacock 🦚 and some other birds also . It was the first time i saw a peacock so close to me ❤❤. And it has a long path for a walk it also has a watch tower . And u can also find lot of couples 🤦‍♂️. If u are single like me then i wouldnt recommend u to go to this park . If u want to see peacock then visit and come.

Orchid garden and different kinds of trees and plants are grown in both the sides.There is a bamboo forest and Butterfly park. You can see crocodile 🐊 in its natural habitat. A few collection of birds and animals are there in the Garden. Boating facility is availableEntry and Parking fee is collected. What an amazing place..! Really calm and soothing environment to walk around or just sit on on one their benches. The place is full of greenery.. They have a childrens play area, kids aviary park, hydrophytes area, bird watching tower etc. Good enough to spend atleast 3-4hrs for sure.

Perfect place to breathe a fresh air. Less crowd as there is entry fees. Would recommend to bring your lunch and enjoy the greenery.

Such a clean and well maintain nature park. It’s perfect to visit in the morning and afternoon when the sun isn’t too harsh.There’s a lot of tree cover and there are various zones such as aviary section, nursery, bitterly park, and boating. The boating section will allow you to either rent a pedal boat or a row boat and you can boat around parts of Karanji Lake. If you’re a budding ornithologist, then there’s a view point from where you can spot the birds breeding/nesting in the lake.The nature park is connected to Mysore Zoo as well, so once you’re done walking around the park, you can head here.

It was good.Parks are there for couples and children.Lake is there and we can do boating in the lake.And from the lake,while boating,one can easily see the Chamundi Hills and the view is very mesmerizing.

One time Visit

A calm and quiet parks spread over 200 acres close to the Zoo.. This time I was surprised that the lake had vanished as there was no water at all... The lake was totally dry and boating was stopped... The main attraction here is the Birds Aviary with lot of different birds inside... You get the opportunity to walk along with them...

Lake was okay during the time we went. Though it was monsoon season, it was not full. It was full of grass.However, there are kids play area, which has good options for kids. There are birds caged for display, which has birds like parrots, and others.Main highlight for me was the Aviary park inside it. In a small park, it has around 30 peafowl, with almost equal distribution of peacocks and peahens. There will always be a sense of competition among peacocks to attract the females. Hence there will be atleast one peacock dancing at any time, some times 2 or 3 were dancing. It was a really good sight. There are white peacocks too in the park

Karanji lake is very beautiful Nature park located within the city of Mysore. Its a different world within itself. Entire lake is surrounded by lush green trees, grass, garden and bamboo trees. Wherever you see, you will notice lush greenery. Benches to sit are made at every regular distance. Drinking water Points are made. Washroom facility available.Cleanliness is what I really admired. Very clean and under maintenance. Watchmen standing all over the places to help and instruc tourists. Parking facilities available for both 2 wheelers and four wheelers. Boating is also available but due to certain reasons it is stopped as of now. Timings are from morning 8:30am till 6:00pm. Very great place to spend time in solitude or even with family and friends.

The lake remains dried most of the year. The park however is fine for a nice peaceful walk. There are many varieties birds, many peacocks. It is s plastic free zone infact pollution free zone and as you can see in the picture garbage is collected on a Bullock cart here.

This lake area is around 89 acres with beautiful park , next to mysore zoo

The only good thing about this lake is that inside the park, there is a open residence for birds especially peacocks. You can see them from such short range. Other than that nothing special inside. So much mosquitos. The boating is pathetic as the way to go down to the boat is slanting and broken. So if you are not careful then you can twist your ankle. The lake water also not clean...

Very well maintained park. We had visited this place in a hurry. You’ll need at least 2 hours to completely see the place, and there is a lot to see. Also there is a lot to walk too. Highly recommend 👍🏼
