Wonderful Experience! I strongly recommend aspiring beginners who want to take to the path of Yoga, to learn and teach, should come here and get a hands on experience from Sri. Pradeep Yoga Sattwamaya Sir.The founder and brainchild behind a 1000 Yoga. The abundance of knowledge that he possesses and the articulation of the various facets of teaching is commendable. At the end of the Course I felt I have gained Knowledge with the various facets of Yoga and would be able to share all that I have learned here, with my students, when I intend to teach in the future. The Course also includes critical and important bits of - Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the traditional chanting Mantras which were written by the great sages over a 1000 years ago, the strong asana and learning practice and for me one of the most important facets would be the learning of Ayurveda and it’s advantages of practice which leads the key to good health. I would like to say a Big Thank You to the faculty who taught us all - Sri Pradeep Sattwamaya Sir, Sri Sindhoora Ma’am who taught as beautiful chants that I practice even today, soon as I wake up and inculcating a strong habit to Thank the universe and pray before every meal we eat as a family and the Admin Director Ria who took Good care of all of us at the Shaala(institute) for accommodation and food.

What started as an attempt to find something productive during Covid times, turned in to an amazing and life changing experience. The overall quality of the L1 TTC program with Yoga Sattwa was beyond my expectations. Great facility and studio, most passionate and highly qualified teachers (Pradeep, Sindhoora and Indra), lovely food and accommodation. I couldn’t find a single weakness in the course. In case anyone considering to sign up for upcoming courses don’t hesitate a bit. Thank you team Yoga Sattwa.

Located in the yoga hub of Mysore - Gokulam, Yogasattwa is a perfect start for a student embarking on the path of yoga. The shaala is beautiful and the limited intake of students in a batch helps a great deal unlike other places that cram students in one room. The lovely backyard where we spent our evenings watering and gardening, Sattwic food served at Santosha cafe, the well equipped kitchen which came in extremely handy during our late night studies. The jackfruit tree deserves a special mention. The fruits made for a lovely snack during the evenings.I did the level one (L1- basic) course here in February and thoroughly enjoyed the teachings. A great deal of attention is given for Asana practice and the key alignments. Posture corrections by the teachers has helped me know what I was doing wrong. From learning anatomy to brushing the basics of ayurveda , samkhya, this course equips one to handle a beginners class.Vedic chants has helped me enunciate the prayers better and the no question is dumb attitude of teachers has helped have a lot of discussions giving way to a whole lot of learnings.Easily one of the best places I have learnt yoga at, I would be looking forward to do an advanced level course here soon.

I recently completed my level-1 course at yoga sattwa college.I would recommend the course to all those who are looking for authentic information about yoga and Ayurveda to begin your journey. We all have assumptions about yoga and Ayurveda but to test what we know is also a must every now and then. One can learn a lot by asking those simple questions- what is it? What is The source of this knowledge ?.Like I said I also had lot of assumptions and still do and being here at yoga sattwa made me question , seek answers by myself and where to look for answers.I would also add that have patience and let go of assumptions. It worked for me I hope the course and facilitators at yoga sattwa helps you too.Warm regardsJyoti

The Shaala applies the philosophies they teach. Another commendable aspect is, the Shaala is very flexible. They allowed several customizations that fit my needs. I highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking to do an L1 200 hour yoga course.

Tucked away in a quiet lane of Gokulam, Yogasattwa Ayurveda and Yoga College offers immersive residential courses for yoga students. I attended the level one Teacher Training Course here in January 2021. It was a transformative experience, and each one of the teachers was knowledgeable, patient and experienced. Our batch comprised just four students, which ensured personal attention and plenty of time for discussions. I highly recommend Yogasattwa to aspiring yoga students who are looking to establish and grow their own practice. I do intend to come back here again. A heartfelt thank you to Pradeep, Sindhoora, Indira, Pranav and Arvind, our teachers at Yogasattwa, for a wonderful start to 2021.

Before enrolling here i enquired at many yoga schools, what i liked the most is the class size. Like others it doesnt have a huge no. of students in a batch which actually helps you in many ways. I was happy with the teachers approach, knowledge he has and the teaching techniques he shared helped me alot. I loved staying at the shaala.

I came to know about Yogasattwa during my interactions with Mr. Pradeep with whom I had earlier interacted as part of the 200 hr TTC Course in Bangalore. Traveling to Mysore for this training wasnt even on my radar before then. Looking at their program I was intrigued. I am thankful beyond words that I followed my intuition and enrolled. I was there this past Novemeber 2-28 to complete their 300 hour course. It was incredible! From the moment I walked in the door I was treated as family. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. The food was satisfying and healthy. The teachers are PHENOMENAL n friendly too!! Truly-they are experts in their field. I would like to thank for their constant support and training to get me to where I am now. I learned far more than I ever thought I would, and came away with a whole new way of walking through the world. I had earlier yoga experience, but they take you where you are at and push you to be your best. I cant believe how far I came in such a short time.My classmates were very friendly and helpful. I now have 12 new friends from the time spent there. I miss them and Yogasattwa so much!If you are contemplating this journey, I say go for it! If you choose Yogasattwa you will not regret it. It is located in the heart of Mysore in a place called Gokulam. The place is a quiet and peaceful area and provides a perfect backdrop to your pursuits. Namaste!!

The Level 1 program is properly structured based on traditional and modern approach towards Yoga. The Sattwa method is a very good way of looking at Asana practice and general principles of life. The environment is ideal for learning and relaxation. The teachers Pradeep, Sindhura and Indira apart from being practioners themselves are experienced in the field of Yoga and teach with passion towards the subject.

I found Yoga Sattwa while surfing the internet and am very glad to eventually come here. The two best things about this place are -1. An ideal mix of modern and traditional take on Yoga. Giving the information in a very practical manner that makes sense in the modern world while not compromising the real goal of Yoga that is beyond body.2. Absolute focus on imparting the knowledge considering people have come here to become teachers.Accommodation very comfortable and clean, food very homely and Sattvik, totally in tune with the purpose of the course.I would highly recommend this place as one of the best if you are looking for authentic and clear understand of Yogic principles.

The 200 hour  L1course at Yoga Sattwa gave me a well rounded introduction to Yoga Asana’s, Indian Phillosophies and Ayurveda. The staff were great. They taught from experience but backed up their methods and techniques with credible sources, and gave us the tools to be able to do the same.I liked the emphasis on building healthy habits, and making small incremental changes on a regular basis as opposed to big unsustainable efforts infrequently. This approach transferred to Asana practice with an emphasis on not overexerting or pushing the body too hard, but instead building discipline and deepening postures through slower but regular practice.A stand out for me was the courses emphasis on practical teaching and teaching methodology. I was not expecting to be a confident yoga teacher after only a 200 hour course. By throwing us in the deep end, and making us plan and teach classes on an almost daily basis, I was forced to understand content to the level at which I could teach it. This helped a lot with my own practice, and made me comfortable teaching by the end of the course. The teaching methodology shared was also really well designed, giving me the confidence to structure safe, yet well balanced classes.Having travelled throughout India for a year prior, My mind was blown by the fact that my favourite food to date was prepared by the generous neighbouring aunty who made breakfast for us out of love every morning. My only constructive criticism would be to invest in mosquito nets!I returned for the 300 hour L2 course. Unfortunately we were only able to complete 2 weeks due to the COVID lockdown situation. However the staff at Yogasattwa were extremely accommodative, supportive, and understanding during this tough time. It was a really good opportunity to see compassion and some of the philosophical principles being preached actually practiced.Thank you for a beautiful experience :)

Yoga sattva is an excellent place for someone who is new to yoga and is interested in learning Yoga asanas and fundamentals of Yoga in a systematic and authentic way.Ive completed basic 200hrs course on yoga from a few other schools before I came across this place. In comparision to other well established huge yoga institutions, yoga sattva has an advantage. In my batch since there were about 8-10people, I felt sufficient individual attention was given and that helps a newbie into yoga immensely. Large yoga schools intake about 150-180 people per batch and thatll be no doubt a wonderful experience, but it also limits ones learning exposure. If youre new to yoga and want to learn from basics, its always good to start where there is less crowd.Their expertise lies in Fundamentals of Yoga Asanas, alignment and teaching methodology, designing class plan, and also some basics of Ayurveda. Another uniqueness of Yoga sattva is that you get to learn Yoga Nidra as a part of course. Yoga philosophy and other scriptural subjects are decent.Teaching faculty are very friendly and approachable.Overall its a great value for money option.

I am glad to be part of Yogasattwa for several reasons.I have done my YIC from SVYASA in 2013. I left that campus with lot of questions after tasting different paths of Yoga. I did not know what to do next. Then I came across a1000yoga and I met my teacher Pradeep Gowda. I am glad I came across a1000yoga which taught a structured way to approach Yoga. I did my RYT200hrs in 2013, RYT300hrs in 2014, PRYT(Prenatal) in 2014. I was exposed to many styles of Yoga under one roof which helped me explore what suits my body and personality. I really like the way he introduced Ayurveda into our courses which helped me understand myself and many people around me. It cleared a lot of doubts and helped me set my daily routine and lifestyle. Then I took Yoga as my full-time profession and I share what I experience. I am happy to see him starting a residential course in Mysore. This is a good school to start your yoga journey and how you can apply it into your daily lifestyle. This is not just for learning and leaving it there, its about how do you apply Yoga and Ayurveda into your life.

Intentions for this: to not support a wrong interpretation and spreading of a true, authentic , extremely deep and beneficial practice. I dont want this to be a part of the world and superficialness like this will destroy the heritage of yoga and mind body life practicesI never wrote any online recommendation of a course or something like this, but as a person who did so much research and was so much in doubt about this course, I have to let others know so this school wont deconstruct more aspiring yoga students.I feel so disappointed after these 28days and I am not the only one at the course but definitely the most frustrated, after coming from the other part of the world. I feel I have wasted time and life for this month here. It has been a wrong turn in my practice and I am now obliged to make an effort to forget all that I have been doing this month.Philosophy:This the poorest most untraditional philosophy teaching I have ever been attending. you will not practice or gain a deeper understanding of any of the rich knowledge and teachings in yoga. instead the classes focuses on writing down exactly what is written in the book that the teacher sindhura has at her hand at all time. no direct experience and extremely superficial take on every section of the philosophy, which goes against everything these amazing text says.you will be treated like a complete beginner at all times, there will be constant making of assumptions about you and if you ask anything deeper the answer will be that we will learn in level 2so one who wishes to learn yoga and philosophy is wasting his/her time at this course.Asana :I was so disappointed the first three days that I wanted to leave the course, this followed throughout the first two weeks where in the end I just decided to try to get the best of it..there is a morning practice and that is it. this is a superficial practice again, with maybe one minute to spare in the end for meditation, in the end four minutes.you will not learn Asana benefits on a hormone, organ or psycho somatic or mind based level. although you will learn about the spine which is interesting.the classes are beginner structured and Indira the teacher is such a great person. but still this style of practicing is empty and doesnt deal with mind or body just Asana as how they are supposed to be.I even got a lower back injury which lasted with me throughout the course, in which Pradeep responded with a smirky smile and not really knowing what to do.Pradeep is good, and sindhura is a person whom I really deep down from the bottom of my heart like, but this school is the exact opposite of everything they stand for, preach and what yoga truly is. I am so amazed by this. Its like they know, and even agreed everytime we talked, but still they follow exactly the opposite and everything that is wrong with yoga today. And it occured to me that they are not aware of this.I missed the interest , the presence, the love and sincerety.I also missed an insight in pranayama, which we only had two lessons on in the end, more creative intilligent ways of learning and not just passing information, mind practices and understanding, proper teaching training as you would teach in a real class, structuring more classes, a non discriminating and proper intelligent course on Ayurveda instead of making more superficial concepts to name a few.If you are interested in a course in mysore, I think darshanam next door is a good option. After travelling for some time through different ashrams and places All over India, it seems to me that India has lost its right to spirituality and yoga and has diluted its own cultural heritage to make an industry and other purposes. I am disappointed that yoga sattwa is a living example of this.
