Classic kind of location. Not so attractive ambience. Its designed like a old hut several decades ago. Food was ok. Too many bees and insects around due to the various trees / plants. goog serving team.

This restaurant is not situated in the best of areas, very broken down and rough.Staff are friendly and welcoming, but it can take forever to get served and then get your food.The food quality is good and quite tasty.If youre ordering different types of drinks make sure you tell them that bring what is ready immediately otherwise they dont care at all and will bring everything together.They didnt bring my soda to enjoy with my food, brought it when the pinacolada was ready 15 minutes later, and I was then done eating my meal.They dont really come check on you, you would need to call them for service.All in all it was an OK experience.Oh , and the flies drove me bonkers!!!!!

Tourist Guide 101, for good food, avoid touristy places....Tourist Guide 102, for good food, avoid touristy places...This place is for tourists, full of tourists serving terrible food...So I was convinced by my lovely wife to go to the must stop for any tourist visiting Muscat, to taste authentic Omani food... Big mistake, yes, listening to my wife AND agreeing to go to a touristy restaurant...On entry, you are hit with several large medieval incense (bakhour) smokers, generating a LOT of smoke, guaranteed to significantly improve your chances of getting lung cancer....We ordered the Kargeen salad, mixed grill and mandi rice with shuwa meat... Salad was served within 10 mins, it was average with lumpy honey mustard dressing... Apparently Shuwa is cooked for 24 hours... After waiting for over an hour, I started wondering whether wed have to wait for 24 hours to have dinner... Do they provide a sleeping bag, I wonder... Eventually the mains arrived...The mixed grill was dry, chewy and boring... The mandi rice had lots of bones of varying sizes, obviously to ensure that no matter what age you are, you will likely brake a tooth and in a best case scenario choke to death.... The sort of thing youd love to happen on a holiday... The meat was dry, overcooked, and tasteless...Overall terrible food, however the place has a nice outdoor sitting area.Tourist Guide 103.... Avoid touristy places....

Its all about the garden here: you sit romantically under tropic trees hanging their leaves into your face. Pretty good food, expensive though. And why would you need outdoor aircon in a shady place like this?

One of the best places to dine if you are in Muscat. The place is quite popular among the tourists visiting the city as well as the locals. It combines 4 restaurants. All the 4 serve the same menu but offer a different ambience. They are famous for their sheesha as well as middle eastern cuisine. The soups come in a fancy earthen pot. We tried their mix grilled which is served in silver wear on coal. The bread served with rice was one of a dish. In desserts I would highly recommend their freshly baked pistachio cake with Moroccan tea 🍵

We went at Christmas dinner and it was beautiful, with decoration...The food is good and not too expensive (22 RO for 2 people with meal, drinks, deserts and shicha)

Amazing place good food. The mushroom soup is amazing here and the meats on the mixed grill just melt in your mouth. The ambiance is perfect and really adds to the experience. The shishas are also exceptional. Definatly recommend to friends and family. However I do advise booking as this place gets rather busy.

Brilliant ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. delicious food. Was amazed to see biryani served stuffed in a chappati, first time for us. Another must order is the Kargeen mix grill. Also must try sheisha here. We went there lunch however, the place would look beautiful at night.

Incredible food, great service and nice atmosphere. The restaurant is huge with several seating areas indoor and outdoor. They have a wide selection of food including local Omani specialties as well as sandwiches pizza burgers etc. However I highly recommend you try the Omani dishes. The shuwa was fantastic. Lamb meat smothered in spices, wrapped in a banana leaf and slow cooked for a very long time! The meat just falls apart. Try it with the yellow rice. Their aash soup was great too. A totally vegetarian local specialty. Go with a larger group so you can try many dishes, but youll want the Shuwa all to yourself :) they also offer good shisha and tea / coffee.

Famous place for eating in Musqat. Traditional and natural looking. Relatively expensive.

Good grilled meats. Get the date latte also. Friendly service but gets slow when crowded, which is normal but dont go there if youre in a rush :)

Tasty food & good atmosphere! We went for lunch and were the only people in the restaurant (non-smoking area), food took around 30 mins to be served, for us this was a bit delayed! However when we tasted the food this wasnt an issue.I would recommend this place if you want a taste of local Omani food for a cheaper price compare to the hotels restaurants prices in Muscat.

Beautiful restaurant, design lighting seats everything was really beautiful, nice food great service, very clean, the only thing was mosquitoes but i guess because of the greens, they have nice tajeen , better than barbecue. I would love to go again :)

Really authentic Omani restaurant with good Chawi with Mandi rice and great seafood. The mezza was also delightful. What I like best is the garden seating which is absolutely beautiful in December. The staff is very friendly and professional and their natural juices delicious. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it

Place is unbelievable. Tastes are too. Must taste sour sweety salad with walnuts. Also kebabs in small grills. Hot spicy dishes and conclusion with pistachio cake. Drinks are fresh and has surprises...

Extremely good restaurant in muscat, came here not in a rush hour. So no need for reservation. Their dates lattes is so nice, all of the beverages are exceptional. Try their mandi laham and omani shuwa, the lamb meat is so tender. Definitely will come back again try their pizza and shawarma.

-ATMOSPHERE is great especially when you sit outdoors in winter.- FOOD is delicious but overpriced.-SHISHA is very bad and overpriced Im a daily smoker and you can only choose mixed flavors in the kargen special shisha (watermelon head) which is around OMR 7/- the whole thing doesnt make sense.* the reason for this rating is the bad shisha and the price in general.

Decent place with local Omani cuisine. You can smoke shisha here. They serve it even using fresh fruits, like watermelon, as a base. Fantastic appetizers. It is worth a visit! During the Ramadan, they serve an Iftar dinner (Ramadan evening meal) everynight. You can meet a lot of locals here. It is a really interesting experience to visit this place during Ramadan.

This is the kind of place place thats very aesthetically pleasing with a lovely ambience but little real substance.We went for an afternoon snack and, although, the atmosphere is very pleasant with historical artifacts and tropical plants, the food and service was lacking.A small order took ages to prepare even though it was very quiet. In terms of taste, the Caesar salad we ordered was literally a couple of limp lettuce leaves swimming in a sea of mayonnaise. The soup was uninspiring and the sandwiches we ordered very mediocre.Given the high prices, more attention needs to be paid to spicing up the menu and actually focussing on the food. No use having a pleasant ambience with food that could be bought in a convenience store.Very disappointing...

Lackluster meal, uninspired menu, high prices, spotty service. Kargeen loses on all counts. My chicken Caesar salad was wilted and the chicken was dry and unpalatable.Nice selection of fresh juices but very expensive.

You can never imagine how beautiful the interiors of this restaurant are by just looking at its outdoors. An amazingly calm and soothing place, with friendly staff. The food was equally amazing. We went there for Friday buffet and the selection was amazing especially the Creamy Mushroom. You even have the option to order their local delicacy Shuwa which is a slow cooked lamb wrapped in banana leaf, marinated for 8 hours with special spices and cooked underground for another 8 hours. It is served with either Mandi rice or white basmati rice. Extremely tender and oh so delicious. And you will find a lot of furry friends (cats) there to welcome you and lick your feet too 😉

Decor of this place in the outside area is lovely. We had the fish and prawns which were presented beautifully and tasted really great too. If visiting Muscat definitely recommend adding this in your places to eat.

This place so lovely, its a must try place for a get together and meet up. Interior is awesome. But for the price tag its very very expensive, for which I could say only for a special occasion and for special people. Guys you have no problem spending money for food this place is excellent.
