This temple is situated at basudevpur area of munger and considered as one of the shaktipeeth. As per mythological belief eye of devi sati have falled here, so here an eye is placed inside the main worship temple. Although devotee from different places visit here to worship throughout the year, including vip and vvip. But specially during both chaitra and ashwin navratri more devotees visits, from early morning 4am. In evening shringar puja and arti is done before closing for the day. On mahanavmi evening whole temple premise is beutifully decorated garlands and lighted with hundreds of diyas all around.

Believed that Saris left eye fell here. Small temple and gives a feeling of village style temple. Small shrine of an eye shaped vigrah is there inside a small cave like rock. Has other small shrines of various other gods. Be aware of pandas. They try to fleece you by forcing you take some Sankalp.

It is a well known shaktipeeth, it is situated about 2 km away from munger market area, you will easy get toto from market. It is well constructed and peaceful temple. Generally there are little rush, but at the time of Durga Puja you might wait for 2 or more hour in queue. Statue of other god is also present there. There is a little tunnel inside the temple where Ma Chandi is situated. It is said that one of the eye of Ma Sati dropped here, so it is termed as shaktipeeth. People thought that their wishes came true when they visit there and pary. This place is also famous for marriage and rituals of marriage. People who resides near this temple must went there when they purchase car, motor cycle etc and also after marriage to take aashirwad of Ma Chandika. Sometimes satsang and other bhakti program organised there. It is not suggested to visit here in rainy season, because water of river Ganga filled here in this season. If you did not yet visit this temple, you must have to come and see the beauty of this temple. You will feel some positive energy here. And dont forget to eat ghugni modi ( घुघनी मुड़ी) which is available outside the temple.Jai Ma Chandike.
