Just a superb place. The food and drinks were fabulous. Small pre plated dishes. 9-10 courses. By the end we were full. One course was in the kitchen and every dish was superb. We completely loved this place. A little difficult to find specially in the late evenings.
Super food and service a must try experience. One of my best experiences in dining out.
Best culinary experience I have had in Mumbai. Period!I would urge people to try the set 5-course menu, since there is always the element of surprise about what is to come next. The chosen dishes are seasonal, and blends flavors seamlessly. The staff is equally awesome, and for someone like me who doesnt know much about the dishes, they are kind enough to explain each dish, along with how it was made. Pair this up with some great cocktail selections, and voila, you have an experience worth every penny that you shell out.
Experience Masque. One of my greatest culinary adventures. A dining experience unlike any in Bombay or even India. You dont only have an exceptional meal but also learn so much about what youre eating. The elements of surprise add to the entire experience. I wont explain much about what was on the menu as thats something they like to explain to you themselves. The menu also keeps changing so you never know what to expect. Definitely going back here.
Exceptional dining service in the heart of Bombay! We tried a surprise 10 course meal that changes every month. It was a world class experience, coupled with exceptional service. The ingredients are sourced locally from their farm near Pune and from across India. Must visit if one appreciates an ingredient driven menu.
Therapy was very amazing I took 90 mins signature therapy staff was very helpful and very professional manager was kind highly recommend best spa in mumbai cheers to team Royal Orchid
Absolutely divine food in a non fussy but upscale atmosphere. Very attentive and good humoured staff. Alcohol is a very pricey, but the cocktails are excellent, especially the G&T. wish they would add a drink into the set menu.In another note, amazing music to accompany your meal! Tame impala, zie, ocean and more.. Wow!Price per person with cocktail approx 7.5k
Superb experience! Highly recommended for a special night.
Whatt a beautiful place to hangout...we had 10 course menu . It was just beyond expectations . amazing staff , Great chefs , amazing concept , they have their own Fram from where they get their supplies on regular basis. Best place to dineou with family and friends. They just mouth watering . Had great experience at masque
This place is an absolute delight. The chefs and the team really puts a lot of effort in curating the menu and selecting the ingredients. You will probably never find these dishes anywhere else. The chef explains each dish and how it is prepared. I especially liked the course where they take you to the kitchen and offer you the course. Great going!
If you are a fan of unusual foods, textures, flavour combinations and try experimenting with food, this place is an absolute must visit. Their theme of locally sourced food is great and they combine it with global cuisines to deliver a tasting menu which is truly a pleasure to eat. Would rate them 5/5 on food and presentation. The service and ambience make it feel too fine dining to me and the price point of spending a $100 per person without alcohol is too steep. If there was a trade off to make the food more accessible price point wise, would love to visit more. Else even though the menu changes every few weeks, visiting other than for a celebratory occasion seems difficult.
Had a great time at their tailgate! Nice curated menu with splendid cocktails. Looking forward to visiting them again now that they are open for regular business
Very nice place with fresh food and elegantly prepared menu. Staff is very hospitable and explain each dish with patience. Loved all mock tails too. Must visit restaurants in Mumbai.
Indian food reimagined to global palettes
Exquisite cuisine which they keep experimenting with. You will get to taste some amazing recipes, wherein they have used flavours found across the length and breadth of India
The chef uses high quality local ingredients and then uses classic techniques to create original dishes. Those that understand this will appreciate it. If you are looking for comfort food in modern, expenses setting this isnt it. I highly recommended this place.
Just went to this place for the second time. Unfortunatly, the restaurant itself was closed but weve gone to the neighbouring Masque Lab, which was mindblowing aswell. Really good food, awesome vibes and very kind staff! One of the best places in India
My husband and I ate last week at Masque after reading in Food and Wine magazine that they were chosen as one of one hundred best new restaurants.Though my husband was greatly displeased (as above comments shared), I was very happy with the service, ambience and incredibly creative and tasteful dishes. I ordered the 10 course vegetarian menu and was delighted throughout. So much love and detail went into each dish and I experienced a lot of new flavors that were delicious.Unlike my husband, I would highly recommend Masque.
An experience in fine dining. A must for all .
There arent enough wonderful words to describe an evening with the amazing people at Masque! Every dish is so well thought out and it is a culinary adventure to join them through a set menu of delightful courses that will make your mouth water and leave you wanting to come back for more! You leave not only full from the food, but enchanted by the flavors and the kind and educated staff which guide you through the food adventure! This is the place to take someone you love. Get a reservation, it fills up quick!!!!!I could go on for hours about this place. But you owe it to yourself to take a trip there whether you are in Mumbai for a day of for life.
Quite an exquisite experience. It was my first time at a place like this. Food was subtle but the alcohol made all the difference. The cocktails were excellent, right from turmeric base to plum base to beetroot base to coffee base. Each cocktail had its own unique flavor and accompanied and accentuated the taste of the food pretty well. The food on its own was not that great but that of course is subjective. The overall ambience of the place and the professionalism was five star. Servers deserve an extra star for handling the people so well. Even after we being a group of 30 people, they were able to keep a track of each persons food preferences perfectly. The price of the restaurant is a too much on the expensive side but all is well when someone else pays, right?
One of its kind Fine Dining place in Mumbai. They have a 10 course dinner menu that changes every month or so. Every ingredient is unique & I found the tastes of each course to be very different. In one of the courses you go inside the kitchen & interact with the chef while having your course. One quick tip - make sure you are really hungry. Even though their portions are small, ten courses made even a voracious eater like me quite full. Highly recommend this place - Masque is an experience!
Masque is a space that encourages experimentation and innovation in the kitchen. Making trips all over the country and then using techniques learned abroad, Sadhu and his colleague, Aditi Dugar, ensure the food at Masque showcases regional, often little-known, ingredients in exciting new ways. Since its opening the restaurant has also hosted pop-up dinners by chefs from all over the world – including Mike Bagale of Chicago’s Alinea and Garima Arora of Gaa in Bangkok. Taking Sadhu’s Kashmiri roots into account, it’s not a surprise that kalari, Jammu’s beloved cheese, is reinterpreted on the Masque menu, accompanied by Kashmiri rice pancakes, walnut chutney and farm radishes.
If this is your first time going for a tasting menu at a fine dining restaurant of this standard, you may be satisfied. If not, you will expect a lot more. The food, excessive description of each dish and their ingredients by the servers, felt a bit gimmicky.Trying a little too hard to impress, than letting the food do the talking.Unfortunately this is common in a lot of fancy restaurants which focus on the show and dance around the food than the food itself. We opted for the ten course meal chef’s tasting menu and were a group of 8.A few days later, and I couldn’t remember most of the dishes of the ten course menu. The entire meal took well over 3 hours to complete which would’ve been fine, if we hadn’t left feeling hungry still. The last course - desserts, being the most disappointing of all.Tasting menus can often be experiences in themselves, something you look back on fondly and that leave a delible mark on your mind. Not in this case, by far!
Went here but honestly wasn’t happy with the overall experience.Yes the ambiance and the service is very classy but in terms of food I personally think it’s not worth it.They serve fixed courses of meal which doesn’t give you an option to choose what you want to have.It might suit other people but it didn’t go well with us.Also the quantity of food is just not enoughYes the preparation & the presentation is fancy but in not stomach feeling. The time taken between for the preparation of dishes is too long.Considering the price, it wasn’t worth it.
Had a nice dinner at Masque last night. The room has been beautifully fitted out with a lot of care and thought. Of the 10+ courses only one was not to our partys taste and they repeated a course to remedy this. The food itself is relatively cheap for the technique on show. My only negatives, the drinks were very expensive compared to other countries, $30 Australian for a cocktail or glass of reasonable wine.Another thing that needs to lift is the toilet experience, the downstairs sink was a little confusing and some quality products would fix this.Definitely going in the right direction, enjoyable and tasty experience.
Tucked away in an industrial estate - an old mill common in the area, and sensitively decorated to maintain much of the charm. Its delicious meal and set a beautiful environment. Its only an extensive tasting menu, and our first course started in the kitchen where you really feel the enthusiasm and pride of the team. The food is experimental and they have gone to great lengths to ensure that it is all sourced in India, often very different parts of India, but all India. One interesting thing was the choice of cocktail and wine pairing. Hard to recommend one over the other as the pairing was very dependent on the dish.Well worth a visit!
Frankly, super over rated. Expensive bit is fine, if it’s really worth.Over indulgence and nauseating stories on every piece of meal, was overbearing. Stories would have been fine, if food was good.Overall, most amongst us were trying to fake it, till I made an honest comment and everyone agreed with what I wrote above.
Superb food
Was a great experience indeed !!!The ten course tasting menu changes every month and the fun is that its kept a surprise. The dishes are very interesting and creative. The flavors are amazing. You wont get a dish youve eaten before !!!Service was very courteous and all the staff are all very knowledgeable.Cocktail were delectable. And well put together.Highly recommended for special occasions ... nice setting including good taste of music. Finally the evening was worth the money even though it isnt cheap.
My favourite restaurant in Mumbai. Very creative menu - this is exactly why you pay to eat out! Went there twice, 3 months apart. Menu was completely different each time and delicious combination of flavours from around India. Also, the service is wonderful and not weird or pushy (which is a common case in India). Highly recommend eating here at least once if in Mumbai!
Its seldom that I write a poor review, but this place doesnt even deserve one star.It is indifferent food and poor service masquerading as fine dining. There was not even one redeeming course in the 14 courses. At no stage did anyone ask whether the food was good. It wasnt, and they must have known it.After slapping the food down on the table and explaining in flowery language what it was supposed to be, the servers would disappear. When they would come to clear, they would studiously avoid asking us how it was, whether we enjoyed it.The gap between courses was so long that the young teens in our party were falling asleep by the time the fifth course was served. We requested that the service be sped up. Result? The gap between that course and the next was 20 minutes! We had to call the manager. She did try and speed up afterwards, but the damage was done.No apologies were offered. Nothing was done towards damage control. To add insult to injury, they charged us for six bottles of water. With a Rs 30,000 bill, we were beyond caring anyway, which no doubt they counted on.The owners, the manager, and the chefs should be embarrassed to serve such bland, tasteless drivel, and combine it with pathetic service.Simply awful all around.
An absolute delight. The food is superb, like youve never had before. The service & staff are at another level. They entirely elevate the experience. Keep it up!!!
If youre the kind of person who just wants butter chicken when they go out, then this isnt the place for you.Masque is for people who enjoy new experiences and being able to interact with the innovative chefs who have prepared this fabulous 10 course meal for you.Its not the kind of place you end up at every weekend but for special occasions with foodie friends, its perfect. The food was fabulous, every single bite of it!
One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. So glad we ticked this off our list of must do things in Mumbai. Visiting from Melbourne we are accustomed to amazing food but Masque exceeded our expectations of what Indian inspired fine dining could be. From the chefs to all of the wait staff, everyone was friendly, passionate and it was obvious to see they loved making each guests experience an amazing one. Highly recommend and cant wait to return.
One of the best restaurants I have visited. It serves you the best of 11 dishes with natural ingredients coming from different parts of India. It is also accompanied by a great informative service which educates you about every part of your dish and welcomes you gracefully. Although, it is a bit expensive and the location is hard to find.
Loved the food, the service and the hospitality! Its a fixed 10 course meal that takes about 3 hours, so account for that time. There were a total of 15 or 16 different preparations including snacks and all of it was delicious. They take you into the kitchen for one of the courses, which was pretty cool.
Best place
V good experience if you have an adventurous palate. Rather expensive but exclusive. Unusual flavours n innovative platters... Lesser variety for vegetarians. In a way out place but worth the experience. Limited seating ... Better to book in advance. Good service. Could do with a bit more of warm colours added to the decor so its more cheerful!
Favourite restaurant in Mumbai (probably whole India?). Any item on the menu is extremely well curated, clearly with a lot of R&D upfront. We tried the darjeeling set at the time, but menu changes seasonally. Recommended
Fab food with extremely well trained staff. Modern Indian cuisine with Kashmir and Ladakh ingredients dominating the palette. Plating is phemomenal with an uncommon visit to the kitchen for a palette cleanser. Great experience! Will visit again!
Dont give up searching for this place. Youll love it when youll fine it.Unique Enchanting ambience.Slow service.Tasty food.Prices are slightly above average. No parking problem. No high waiting time.
Exquisite. One of the top ten most interesting meals Ive had. The warm and chatty service is an unexpectedly joyous bonus. We reached late, and the coursed service ran past their closing hour, but we were never rushed. Everyone was always gracious and knowledgeable.
Nice place to host a party.
I found the food too spicy. The soft drinks were too strong in taste.More is not necessarily better in fine cuisine!
The restuarant has great decor and ambiance but just too cold. The service was extremely attentive and it was with great passion various members of the team brought out each course of the tasting plate menu to your table. The smoked fish was excellent along with the pork rib. Nice touch was the menu and biscuit to take home to enjoy and savour the experience the next morning. Paired wines were good. Be warned though this is a very expensive resturant. Well done to all.
Good
Situated in one of the coolest mills in the city, makes you feel like you are not in Mumbai. One of the nicest places in town. Love the produce and quality of food. The service style was unique. The chefs came out to describe each dish. A trip to the kitchen was an eye opener. The cleanest kitchen Ive witnessed. It speaks a lot of the space and the passion behind it. Great job guys!
Absolutely lovely experience! The concept is unique, food is delicious and service is extraordinary!
A different experience , set menu ten course, veg - non veg , with and without gin cocktails.small portions of different starters and main course , ice creams ,all made with a twist , you can order more of any dish you want.spices & ingredients are selected from Kashmir and many more places. Vegetables from own farm. worth visiting.
Food and stories are fab, loved my food experience, the tables can be slightly more spaced out though for a better private dining experience
Most unique haute cuisine restaurant esp for Mumbai. All ingredients sourced from within India but made in their own unique style. We had never had such an experience in Mumbai before.
A fabulous contemporary take on food with locally sourced ingredients prepared by people passionate about the food and project. The great gin bar just adds to the great experience.
Best in Mumbai. This restaurant can compete with just about any in the world. A brilliant and modern look at Indian ingredients and flavors with global panache.
The best fine dining I had in Mumbai.Modern dishes and technic, local organic ingredients, Northern Indian influence.Every month they conduct a new creative menu. The service is extraordinary, with a lot of knowledge and pride. We were invited to eat one of the 10+ dishes in the kitchen(!) and got an opportunity to see the most beautiful sparkling clean kitchen I ever saw (I cook in many high-end restaurants around the globe).I will sure dine here in any visit I will have to Mumbai. The price for 10 dishes tasting menu is around 4,000 rupees and a wine pairing (excellent) costs additional 6000 rupees, per person.
A must try if you can and if you are in Mumbai. Great kitchen, killer food and amazing staff. Highly recommended!
Would have never thought that one of my best fine dining experience happened in India. They had dishes that reminded of your favourite India dishes but also massaged your taste bud; as well as dishes you wouldn’t recognise but still loved. The wine tasting menu was carefully yet elegantly paired as well. It’s a must go in Mumbai
Hidden gem. We made a last minute reservation and had an amazing dining experience. Food on par with Michelin star restaurants. We had the non vegetarian tasting menu, the amount of food was perfect. Chef Prateek was humble and brilliant. We had a nice chat and he served us an off menu dessert: marshmallow cake.
I went there for an event. Day before my event I had seen the restaurant was so busy and I can say it is the most popular hotel over there with a delicious food quality...
A great fine dining restaurant in Mumbai with an unique farm to fork concept. We had opted for the 14 coarse tasting meal and each coarse was better than the last. Each coarse is well explained by the sous chefs and we were fortune to have Chef Prateek Sadhu come over at our table to explain few of them. The wine collection here is great and we had some excellent wines along with the food. The staff is well trained and does everything to make the dining experience a memorable one. Ours turned out to be just the same.
Just moved from California a month ago. I can compare this place to one of the best places Ive dined at. Been here multiple times already. Great place for a fine night out. Love it
Elegant, authentic Mexican cuisine, a bit expensive but good experience .. their cocktails menu is amazing .. must try
Apart from the location, this is a dining experience of a lifetime. Ingredient driven from farm to fork, led by a dedicated and Passion driven team to give you a 10 course tasting menu along with 3 more desserts. You can opt for wine pairing or order beverages from their well stocked bar a la carte. The effort in creating each course is evident in the taste and the ingredients Are explained in detail by the hostess and the chefs. Small tasting portions, remember you have to go through the 10+3 Course this is for the gourmet and not the gourmand. Reservations a must, as they prepare food only for the number of reservations received and no a la carte for the food. Options for vegetarian as well as the non vegetarian this can be counted among Mumbais best dining experiences.
Creative, inventive, never ending 14 course sensorial experienceDelicious cocktails, super friendly staff, great space, spotless kitchen (kitchen tour included)
The attention to detail they put into the food and experience is really spectacular. Very highly recommended for a modern taste of India!
Very pricey for the taste and decor.
Unique food and great service but expensive!
I have no problem starting off by saying that Masque is one of the best restaurants in the city. Masque is the kind of place that sparks joy. From the quality of ingredients to the exquisite cooking to some of the best service Ive ever come across, if youre in search of a place to celebrate an occasion in Mumbai, you probably cant do better than Masque. When I visited, I actually was celebrating an occasion and I got in touch with Gayatri, the reservations manager at Masque, and she, and the entire team made it an absolutely wonderful night for us. I truly cant say enough good things about the entire team. Not only are they extremely helpful, theyre also extremely knowledgeable about the food they serve and are able to add to the experience with all their knowledge. As for the food, it is just as wonderful as youd expect. What I truly enjoyed about the place was not one particular dish but the fearlessness in every dish. Ive always found that a lot of the top restaurants in the city tend to mute flavours to make food more acceptable and palleteable to everyones taste but Masque isnt afraid of punchy flavours and thats what makes the food here so delicious. We waited too long before visiting Masque for the first time. Im very sure our second and subsequent visits wont be as delayedEdit 06/08/21After many subsequent meals, Masque continues to be among the very best restaurants in the city and the country. The food is ceaselessly amazing and the cocktails are delicious as well. The service is right up there with anything Ive enjoyed in my life. Jay, who hosted us during our last visit, was excellent help when it came to choosing our drinks and explained the dishes so well that it added immensely to our experience. Once again, Masque remains among my most recommended restaurants.
Excellent experience. Food is quite subjective. Its not going to be a winner for all. However extremely high priced. Definitely not value for money! Once as an experience is fine.
Best restaurants Ive been to .Good staffs and beautiful interiors. It also provides outdoor service.

By far, the best experience I have had. Food was unlike anything ive ever had. Words cannot describe this experience. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
In the midst of the 10 course tasting menu with accompanying wine. Food, Service and Ambience 10/10. Fantastic.
Too good experience!!
Went there on Day 2 of their existence. Its at the back of this industrial estate with really minimal branding. Not sure why given how far into the compound it is... why make it even more difficult to find? They dont have an a la carte menu - its a tasting menu (3/6/10 courses) that changes every week I think. Their USP is that all the ingredients are sourced from local farms, etc. so they follow the trendy farm to table concept really seriously. And their chefs and staff spare no effort in telling you that. The food was good and since we got their early, the service was attentive too. Very limited booze menu - they claimed that it was bec they had just opened. So my point is that why open if you have a wine list that is two bottles deep? They have a unique cocktail menu and they encourage you to try that instead. Had a decent Gin-based one and then a whiskey one at the end.I would recommend it for a visit - not cheap - so would not rush back in a hurry but at least Ive ticked the box.
Amazing food. Nice new concept. Good part is they explain all the ingredients of food that we eat. Aroma and flavour all the food servered are amazing.
