Loved the food to bits.. The flavours in each of the dishes are so distinct..Inspite of being a Meat Lover.. I simply loved the The Mushroom Black Risotto...The French Onion Chicken was pulled straight from one of the restaurants in MontmartreFlamed Grilled chicken with Pepper sauce was grilled to perfection..The margherita Pizza was customize to our linking by the chef was simply yum.. The caramalized onions and mushrooms were BTS..

A must visit place, food was just amazing. They have a 2 seating areas a general area and a wine room. The wine room is quiter if you want some peace and quite.Had the akuri which is a must try along with the grilled chicken sandwich that was pure heaven. Definitely coming back for more. The akuri comes with bread butter and hashbrown.

This place is beautiful with old world charm. Tugged inside the scenic streets of Fort which teleports you to colonial era of Bombay. Talking about the food, everything over seems to be on a healthier side but to your surprise Healthy is Tasty. So order whatever you feel like because everything on the menu is utterly delicious.

Loved the place as soon I saw it. The look from the outside gives you a rustic Bombay feel. Comfortable seating. Courteous staff. The sandwiches here are yummy and so is the almond cake. One thing I found the best here was the Vegan Curry. The look and taste of it is mind blowing, making it a must have. A must visit place.

Entered and the fragrance took away half of my aches. Loved the place, loved their speed. Excellent food, excellent coffee!! The cold coffee glass size was huge with Sarda farms milk used. (The milk company they have written on the menu!). The baby potato dish and chilly cheese toast we ended up ordering twice. Finished the meal with caramel espresso custard, mouth watering again.

I enjoyed the lavender tea, ice cream cold coffee, and chocolate cake. It felt just a bit crowded when the tables were all occupied. We hadnt finished eating, but they asked us to hurry along as they said they had other guests waiting to enter.

The place jumps out as a cafe shown in old spy movies, and that it the only thing old about it. The service is fast and quality of food is excellent. The eggs prepared for breakfast if taken as a combo option are very filling. I would recommend it if you want to have a nice Sunday brunch with your family and friends.

I call this the “best coffee shop of India” Great coffee, everything on their menu is good, including something unexpected like Upma. Their prices are extremely reasonable. They sell their own coffee, bread, heck they even sell their own tiles! (Check their unique bathroom tiles)

Chanced upon this place as we were looking for coffee after an early morning visit to gateway of India.When I saw masala coffee on the menu, was not sure how it would taste. It exceeded all expectations and was just fabulous! Their sandwich, eggs kejriwal were lovely too. Good calm spot for hangout.

If it was possible to give zero stars would have given that as well. Worst staff etiquette and worst experience ever. So due to a lot of noise beacause of Ganpati Visarjan, I wasnt able to take my meetings working online from my house so I called the cafe and asked a person if they had wifi and if I could sit there peacefully between 9 and 10 pm without anyone disturbing me. The person assured me that its fine and you can come and work here. I go there with my wife and then start taking my meeting where I am on client presentations on both my calls. The staff members first came asking us to order something (which is fine) we ordered a lemon iced tea to which the staff member responded ( bas itna sa? meaning is that it? )to which again we didnt say anything. When it was 9:50 the staff members started pressurizing to leave ( and my meeting is on while I present ) constantly so my wife tries to explain them that we called before coming and also spoke to a person who confirmed you could sit here still the staff member argues and says you cant stay here so she just pays by card and literally still offered to pay 500 rupees ( the original bill was barely 168) because they let us sit there to which they said didnt accept. Also another piece that I missed was their wifi wasnt working so in the end I had to take my meetings from my cell phone data connecting with my laptop. The meeting ended at 10 but we had to literally stand outside the cafe with my laptop because the staff just wanted to kick us out. I didnt say a word to them because it is pointless to argue with such people and waste your anger on. Definitely the worst ever restaurant that I have visited ever and would recommend people to stay a 1000 feet away from this place. The ambience is really nice but the staff is the worst you will ever come across. If you want to increase your blood pressure and have a horrible experience be my guest and visit this place. I would love to get in touch with the owner and tell him that please change your staff else this place will soon shut down.

The almond cake was damn good, I would recommend you to have the almond cake or the carrot cake. The sandwiches are average and the hot chocolate was good but it could have been a little sweeter. Overall a must visit place if you are around.

The cafe was very happening 😍 atmosphere and the service over here is very appreciative. U can grab this place for the snacks as well as the booze. Interior of the cafe is good. Taste wise also good😘. But frankly its expensive ,but overall a must try if u r in the fort area.

Just got a take away, coffee & a muffin. Was all right. Location not easily identifiable as its located in the inner roads.

Really great ambiance during late dinner on a Sunday evening. Draws a significant international / English-speaking crowd so is foreigner-friendly. I had the masala coffee, vegan curry and carrot cake, and all were delicious.Not giving five stars, however, because the service was slower than expected, even though the cafe was far from full. So don’t come here if you’re in a rush.

One of my favourite places. I love the akoori on toast but was a little disappointed as the akoori was not dry as it used to be. Perhaps a new cook. But waffle was good and masala chai super.

Very Good Place. Fresh Food. Must try their Chicken Cheddar Burger

The place is really, really hyped and hence, my expectations were high. But it didnt live up to it. The vibe is good, the seating, spacious and comfortable, the interiors are beautiful but the location is a little difficult to find, so you have to ask around. We asked the server for suggestions and ended up ordering pesto and cheddar melt sandwich, which was below average, an eggs kejriwal, average but expensive, a cappuccino, average but served with a nice small milk chocolate. The food being average and just edible enough, didnt really live up to the hype and was disappointing as a whole.The waffles and cakes are usually more popular but by the end of the meal, it was difficult to trust the restaurant with more orders.

From the outside it looks like a small eatery but it has a big seating area inside which is not visible from the outside. Almond cake with cream is a must have delicacy when you are in the cafe. Loved the overall experience.

Loved this place. Oh my god i cannot describe how good the food was here. So id say you definitely try the sandwiches here, they are really good if you arent very hungry. If youre starving, any chicken dish will fill you up for sure. Had a great time here and will definitely visit again 100%.

Favorite cafe at Kala Godha - old world charm

A lovely little quaint place in the bylanes of Kala Ghoda. The food feels healthy and is still very tasty. So are the beverages. The place can get a noisy with all the chatter around you but people use this place to have meetings and students use it to do group study while chomping on some of the goodies available there.There’s a small enclosure called the tasting room where it seemed quieter, darker and less casual that the cafe outside.Definitely a must visit the first time and a repeat too.Try whatever catches your fancy.

Serving cold eggs cold dosa ice cold toast that too after waiting for 30 mins while dining in is just not an option.

KGC is fast becoming one of my top places in Mumbai. Whether you want to meet a work associate or hang out with friends, whether you want a non-cookie cutter cafe experience or a sophisticated wine bar, this is a wonderful and warm place to spend time in. The food has always been up to the mark. I recently tried the Sali Boti with Gluten-Free Oat and Flax Seed Roti - super yummy!

On a recent visit to KGC for a quick client meeting I was mighty impressed with the casual yet classy setting.. the quite superb hot chocolate and the general ambience. The staff was polite and service good.. not entirely fast but not entirely slow either.This was my maiden visit that too for business, so Id probably be able to make a better overall comment at a later date after going there at leisure.. but there were two things that made me take that 0.5 off the rating ..#1 the cafe was not exactly hard to find but not easy either.. I couldnt spot any signage that pointed me in the right direction and was left to ask about.. #2 the music was bit too loud so it tended to go from being pleasant to a bit irritating.. both of these things can be addressed quite quickly and easily I suppose.I look forward to hanging out here again soon and will write a more detailed account thereafter.

The Kala Ghoda Cafe is one of those hidden gems that one can easily miss when roaming through the area. It has a mixture of old and new, old Irani cafe type seats and decor and a wonderful menu that blends influences from a variety of cuisines. I really enjoyed their leak and parmesan soup, and Thai curry Ravas, this is definitely a place to visit. Service is pretty quick too. Mobile signal strength is a problem in the dining area, but you know thats a good thing sometimes, you can just disconnect and converse with friends and loved ones. Their staff is very courteous and helps you with dish selection.

Decent cafe in the middle of Fort. Tried a pasta and club sandwich. A bit overpriced but nice ambience.

The thing is, I had a lot of expectations. It did not live up to it. The coffee was okay. The sandwich was a disaster. The cheese had hardened to a cardboard. The pizza was okay. And the ice lemon tea as almost too bitter.

It was long awaited visit, we ordered sandwich and coffee, they tasted good enough. Ambience was also decently classy. One can visit this place if looking for a cafe in that area. But overall it seemed to be little overpriced, and even little over-hyped. I had better expectations from the cafe, according to what was heard. Though it was a good experience.

Old Mumbai is a great place to visit. I was around the Taj, gateway area and wanted to visit a place to chill and catch up with friends. I looked up on Zomato and found this place. The street this cafe is placed in is so beautiful to watch. The art work, the interiors and the materials used is just great. The interiors subtle but the detailing is perfect. The food was equally good and the price very reasonable. I would definitely go here again when I visit Mumbai again.

It seems like a hangout place for artists and designers as we would always sit in the cafe area and grab a salad or coffee. But we went inside this time to have a meal and boy were we surprised. Both vegan pizza and spinach butter fish were treat for taste buds.

Food is so fresh and delicious and drinks were refreshing. I really liked their soup and sandwiches.

Disappointing customer service. The waiting staff lack basic courtesy and training. Simple things... As my food arrived I asked for a lemon wedge. Half way into the meal I asked again, he just hung around doing nothing!! Pretty weird and annoying. By the way, that lemon never arrived. Didnt feel like making a issue of a seemingly trivial thing but I brought it to his attention while paying the bill but he was pretty non-chalant as if nothing happened. Even, basic stuff like serving water was ignored. Even upon asking, He served just 2 glasses of water between 4 of us.. We had to again remind him for that.. One would expect better trained staff at such a place. We get better service at than this even at the most basic eatieries.

Cane back after many years to a much larger restaurant, what used to be a small hole-in-the-wall cafe with a v cute mezzanine floor. Now this much larger Cafe has the feel of an old world casual cafe. The food was still awesome. Their multi grain bread was awesome, so was scrambled eggs, waffles and cheese omelette! Ate too quick to take pics! A must visit if you are the charming Kala Ghoda area

The Service was pretty slow...The Ambience was decent... Slow music and quite cafe...The Food was amazing... We ordered Veg Lasagne and it definitely lived up to our expectations...A 3 because of the service or wouldve been a 4 at least...They can definitely improve over time...

I must say I was quite disappointed with kala ghoda cafe today. Usually it’s quite nice but the whole experience was rather uninteresting. We went there for breakfast. We ordered oats without bananas and yet we got with banana and it was not fresh. They changed it for the banana which was good. I also ordered cold coffee which was just not right with the consistency . Too milky... the waffle was good

Amazing place had a really good time....the has nice retro interior ...which gives a calm feeling ...I suggest trying out their club sandwich and kgc salad ....it was really good .... attentive staff...its a bit high in price .... cappuccino was 150 rs and club sandwich was 375 RS ...bt it was worth it ...

A true (not so) hidden gem at the fort. This quaint place proves to be the towns favorite as it was full house. When I was there, all table are occupied but the server was very proactive and yet very polite asking other patron to share table with me, so I quickly got a table. I ordered Akuri and it was delish! The tea was also good. Love the place so much- great food and great service! Definitely will go back :)

Quaint place in a bylane of Kalaghoda, opp the famous Trishna sea food restaurant. We were 8 and were accommodated on 2 small tables meant for two! Anyhoo, the food was ok, service also ok. My take, the place is not meant for a group, they dont have the bandwidth to cater to so many requests at once. But it could be a good place to visit with a couple friends to enjoy a quiet meal or coffee. 3 stars.

I really wanted to visit this cute place, the moment I saw this place on my Instagram feeds.This place is located in the bylane of Kala Ghoda. The ambiance is really cute and cosy, with white walls and photo frames and white chairs.The structure itself has an impressive vaulted wooden ceiling. But its artsy refined air is what makes this modern, white café a welcome addition to the area.This quaint little café is the ideal spot to grab a cup of cappuccino and a quick bite while resting your feet. I love their cold coffee also, they have three options in milk for your perfect coffee Cow Milk, Almond Milk and Hazelnut milk. My favourite is hazelnut milk coffee.I tried their waffle, but dint like it. They over baked the waffle, and that burnt taste made it impossible to eat the waffle.The cafe is a stones throw from the Jehangir Art Gallery in the heart of the Kala Ghoda neighborhood.

The best Western-style cafe in a historic South Mumbai area. They have their own KGC blend coffee (from South India), and it’s fantastic. A 250g bag costs around 400 rupees (~US$4). Food are equally great at a reasonable price (~500 rupees), e.g., flame grilled chicken in spicy rosemary, spaghetti with tomato sauce. Highly recommended!

Try out their in-house bread.. and Spanish omelet..

There are 2 parts to the cafe. There is a coffee shop and a wine bar. To get into the wine bar, you have to walk through the coffee shop. We really enjoyed the wine bar. They had a very nice Indian Sauvignon Blanc that was not pricey. We also ate the grilled mushrooms and olive caviar. Both were fantastic.

Good cafe .. Dark chocolate cake is a must and if you are vegetarian go for vegan curry served with black rice ..

My kids and I love the food the ambiance. Im so glad they got a larger space. To top it all the coffee served with KGC chocolate was a good end to my meal.

Early morning breakfasts is a must here, since its very peaceful and serene all around. The ones to definitely try is muesli with yogurt and fruits and the grilled BLT sandwich. Service is prompt and cost for two is approximately 1000 INR.

One of the best cafés one can visit in Mumbai. Their Lattes are an absolute delight. The staff is amazing and so is the ambience. The food tastes great as well though its certainly not on the economical side. They have a wine bar as well, which I was completely unaware about. Overall, a great experience.

Place is very nice with awesome food but one shall only visit the cafe to have healthy meals. Spicy food eaters stay away from it. There are vegan recipes, portion size is ok for 1 person. Their cheeze omlette is too good to have.

One of the finest and oldest serving restaurant undoubtedly @kalaghodacafe its just tempting and fingerliking good. I crave my heart out for the hot chocolate and almond chocolate cake. The best hospitality and service attracts lot of tourists and people . The decor is mindfully kept classic with touch of traditional Mumbai.
