Location is awesome, just a minute far from gate way of India,.U wont get such lovely hotel at these rates..Food is good..Well behaved and supportive staff..

Its not s luxury fancy hotel but quite decent if you have any work in this part of town or are visiting for tourism dont expect 4-5 star rooms the rooms are average like a hostel or like a motel but the location is great given where its located and the price is reasonable. You can bring food into the hotel so there are many good restaurants at walking distance.

The food was not at all fresh in the event, hotel people dont have the courtesy to behave well and they are on denial they serve fresh food, ambience was not good, behaviour or staff and incharge person has been bad, wont recommend this for any event there after !!

Staff are very supportive. very clean & they follow all covid protocol. you can check in prior to your check in time as I did with help of staff.

A three star hotel with excellent amenities and room service. The hotel is just located very near by to iconic Taj Mahal Hotel and Gateway of India. Hotel room facilities, cleanliness, comfort and quality are upmost top ranked. All working staff are very cooperative and attentive. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet are fabulous in test. All in all its a value for money place to be visiting.

Its good down to earth and convenient hotel for tourists. Breakfast spread is good and staff are courteous. it has all general gaps of any hotel. (1) Only one small lift that can take max two persons three if they are thin. Lift is always occupied. (2) Front office is always crowdy and waiting period is high; regulatory documentation is high and naturally takes time for tourists. This hotel is good for liesure stay.. one should have ample time for everything.

Pathetic is something I can describe about this hotel. I am sure that the ratings given to this hotel are either fake or it has got good stars because of its location. I must admit that the hotel is located at a fantastic location. It is just opposite to the Taj Mahal Palace hotel. You have Starbucks right in front, you get an amazing view of the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, the colaba Citywalk market is just right in front and most importantly it is near to the Gateway of India and good food joints like Delhi Darbar. Full marks to the location.But, lets get straight to the most important things which I would expect from a 3-star hotel. I paid almost 6000 rupees for the stay and trust me its not worth it. I would not pay more than a 1000 or 1500 for a place like this. The people at the reception welcomed and were professional. The elevator and the so called lobby is smelly. The room was just okay with not best of set up though it is spacious. The wifi signal was terribly poor and I could just not use it. Thanks to Jiofi which made it easy for us. Now, comes the most problematic part. After keeping out luggage, we booked a cab to go out for shopping but the door would not close and it was stuck. The staff wanted us to go out and they would get the work done by the time we return but we didnt want to play the blame game later on as it was clearly mentioned that management is not responsible for the loss of valuables. The staff was very cooperative and somehow managed to fix the temporary problem which I appreciate.Now, I would like someone to take this matter seriously. As I love Amul Everyday powder, I just galloped it without wasting any time and trust me it tastes like some chemical and thankfully I had not swallowed it. I ran straight to the washroom and checked my tongue and the white powder was just red and brown. I lt looked scary. I spat everything and rushed to check the expiry date and it was expired almost a year back in 2018. I have attached the picture in the review. I rushed towards reception and showed them the sachet and they were very sorry about it. The people at the reception werecourtwo courteous and accepted the mistake. I feel that it is owners fault. They either dont pay the staff well or is compromising on the quality because of the location. Mister owner of Diplomat Hotel, kindly take it seriously. Even your complimentary buffet is worthless. I paid 7500 with taxes for The Lalit Mumbai with breakfast and all amenities. This is unacceptable as you are fooling customers.

Smooth stay at hotel Diplomat. Reached at the hotel checked in without any problems, the receptionist was humble. The room was nice, clean and maintained, washrooms were clean too. Buffet had decent amount of varieties and was good. Its opposite to taj (back side) and adjecent to Colaba social, 5-10 mins walk to gateway of India. Would recommend it to people willing to stay at Colaba.

The staff were super friendly and helpful but the place was below my expectations. The towels and the linens were really worn out.Food was really good though.

We had booked our room here owing to the great reviews that we had read around it across platforms but on the contrary we found the place pretty average. The best thing was the location - just at the back side of Taj palace and on top of Colaba social, it was walking distance from all the good places in colaba.The breakfast buffet was below average & the place was a little shady.

Hotel diplomat is located in very nice place near Gateway of India and it is behind of hotel Taj. Their service is also good and staff are well behaved and very good. The room is clean and size of the room is also good. One can stay here with peace. Rooms are available at reasonable price and food are also taste good. Everything is good still some place need repair and maintenance. And it could be more better. Am giving 4 star

Rooms are spacious loaded with all good hotel facilities.The breakfast was finger licking delicious, stayed for 2 days and complimented the food both days. Didnt get a room with view but the neighborhood is worth roaming around with causeway market, taj palace, gateway of india just a stone throw away. The famous Leopold cafe is in the same area. You have starbucks and social in adjacent buildings. Bade miyan kebabs were our late night snacks.The staff was very polite and courteous. Check-in & check-outs were smooth.Rooms have mini fridge and tea kettle. Bathrooms have water and geyser all day.Very nice stay.

And for young people....BADEMIYA Restaurant and Leopold Cafe & Bar are on walking distance. colaba social pub is just next to the hotel so you wont have to worry about late night travel or walk after nightout. Indus - Cocktail Bar is hotel owned late night club which is also good.

Nice place to stay. But the Hotel internal structure looks like 90s era of mumbai. Very old style lifts and room. Hotels need revamp. But location is best if you are visiting mumbai as tourist.

Nice hotel with nice Decore in guest room. Great location, as all tourist attractions are walkable distance. Staff is polite and good. Nice place. Not very fancy but located in the prime area. Awesome staff. They go an extra mile to make you feel better. Highly recommend if you are looking to stay in Colaba.The breakfast spread needs to improve a lot.

I intend to aware the management that according to Supreme court ruling you are bound to let girls use washroom and what makes you to train your employee or gatekeepers (whatever) not allow a girl to use it t night, whereas TAJ HOTEL which is much standardized then your hotel let me use the washroom. The complaint against this action will be filed under appropriate govt authority. Also, the incident happened on Sunday morning around 1- 1.30 AM.

The hotel is located near to the very popular Taj hotel. The breakfast was good nothing great though. The rooms and bathrooms were quiet well maintained. The staff and services were very cordial and prompt. The hotel had a quiet good ambiance to itself. This hotel is suitable for all depending upon their budget, but mostly for the business kinds.

The main staff was cordial. Vegitarian Food and breakfast quality is average. Wi-Fi quality very bad. TV channels are very few and management staff was reluctant to provide important cnn bbc and national and South channels . If unavoidable you can choose .AC was noisy. Room is small but clean. Linen average quality. I stayed 2 days.

Good place and all staff nice hotel

I stayed at the Diplomat Hotel at the end of June. The location of the hotel is great and the rooms and services were also good. However, l reached a bit early and was told that l would need to wait a couple of hours for the room to be ready. Since I had arrived by overnight train and was tired, I requested the lady at the reception if I could get a cup of tea, or if the hotel had a restaurant where I could get a cup of tea. I was really surprised when she told me that sorry, but they had no facility to serve me tea and suggested instead that l go across the road to Starbucks where I would get tea or coffee. I did step out but got caught in the rain and had to get back to the hotel. I waited about half an hour for my room to be ready, and then ordered tea from room service. I dont understand why I could not have been served tea while I waited, and it could have been added to my final bill. This is a small incident but demonstrates a total lack of basic courtesy to guests. Though my stay was comfortable enough I dont think l will be staying at this hotel again.

A really bad experience. Usually its a good bet. So I have been using this restaurant for long. But this time it was an awful experience. Right from charging points in room to damaged bed stands., lack of refrigerator, no towels, defective telephone ... The list is so long that it will make me think twice before I go for diplomat again. The worse part is that they didnt even do anything to solve the telephone problem Inspite of repeated complaints. And this is coming from a guy who is a regular here.

We were fed up with the various formalities of check in, which took about half an hour. Our luggages were subjected to scanning . The room allotted to us was stinking as we entered. The boys who had brought our luggages were not going without collecting their tips.The building was very old with a quote of paint only. The furniture in room were very old & the A.C was old window type with the regulators worn out & temperature controls not working properly. T.V provided in the room was not having any of the important channels including news. The complimentary breakfast given by them was said to be in first floor : Reaching there was a herculean task -by changing two lifts - a small room without hand wash facility. No wonder, this hotel was originally owned by DAWOOD IBRAHIM. Decided, will never step into this hotel again.

Old traditional hotel located in the centre of the city. Rooms are small with just basic amenities.Positive: everything on walking distance.

Good hotel. Excellent location. I dont usually spend much time in hotel, except for sleeping at night. So it doesnt matter if the rooms are average. The standard room is average, it has two seperate beds. There is a window AC though, which doesnt have a remote. That was the worst because u have to get up to change the temperature. Other than that Im happy with the location. Its exactly opposite to Starbucks, Colaba Social is next door and u can actually see the ocean when you are standing down there outside the hotel.Value for money.

We booked this hotel for 2 days and I must say that it is located at a prime location very near to the sea and opposite to the Taj Hotels.. Probably the best place to stay when you are looking for a good hotel in a posh locality. Room service and wifi is available. Also the Colaba market is at walkable distance from here. Rooms were clean and so was the bathroom. I am delighted with the stay and would recommend this hotel.

Humiliating experience. Staff was extremely rude and misbehaved with my friends. Room was very cramped as compared to pictures with no proper latches. Staff invaded privacy and insulted us by forcing an escort till the room even after repeated attempts of telling them we knew where our room was. Very dissapointing conditions of room and staff. Not a 3 star deserving hotel. Only good thing is the location of this hotel and proximity to the centre.

The hotel is not worth the price . The location of this hotel is excellent very near to Gateway of India and the Colaba market. VT railway station is not far from here. around 2.5 kilometers may be... The only thing that bothered a lot was the Pa Pa Ya thats kept on banging until 1 AM. anot much happy with the quality of rooms just okay okay..

I reserved a room for several days a few weeks ago. I was refused permission to have a guest come up to my room to do a bit of work with me - even in the daytime - even for just a short bit. Locals are not allowed in the rooms. Even with proper ID and a willingness to pay - no guests. That should be stated on their web site so one may know this in advance. Otherwise the hotel was just fine. Traffic noise was VERY loud.

Very the location and price you cant find a better hotel. Right accross the street is Starbucks, Gate of India and the famous cafe Leopolds. When I arrived, the staff upgraded my room for free.

Rooms were cramped. Even the Deluxe Double bed. Hotel did not has its own parking.The only good side was that the location was great.

Hi guys,Few days back i went to Mumbai, the B City of india. I enjoyed a lot there. Actually i went there for some personal work but it will pleasure to tell you that on airport i met with an tour executive of Go Heritage India Journeys and told him to arrange a stay for me. He took me to the Taj Mahal Palace where i had my stay. Really i am telling, what a hotel it is yaar. I cant forget my this trip of mumbai which gave me a lot of happiness which will cherish me to my entire life. Thank Go Heritage India Journeys for such an extraordinary support.
