Public transport modes like Train/Bus/Taxis are easily available any time, as the location of the hotel is good. The hotel has not its own restaurant, but there is a restaurant named Shivala at ground floor. Unmarried couples are strictly not allowed.If you want to book economy hotel near C.S.T. Station, then ‘Hotel City Palace’ is the good option for you.

I have been staying at this hotel since 2014 and have always had a great experience here. The staff is warm and cordial and professional. The rooms are always clean. The location of this hotel is the biggest advantage. It is located bang opposite the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus or CST, erstwhile, Victoria Terminus. It is also a five to ten minute walk away from the Churchgate station. Even the BEST depot is right opposite. This offers great connect9to everywhere in Mumbai.

Right in front of CSMT station. Very convenient in case you have to travel by train. The thought that the station is very near by gave us a great mental relief. Otherwise pretty decent room. However there was very little room sapce.Pancham Puriwala the legendary restaurant in Mumbai is just adjacent to the Hotel. Definitely to visit and try their tastiest poories.

Just opposite to CST exit. Reasonable rates. Clean rooms. Clean towels are provided for use. Good staff. Cons is after new TRAI rules, the TV has no popular channels. Paying Rs 3000 for room, there should be some channels. One can easily get good no. of channels in 275-300 rs per month (individual tv). Hope they improve this next time.P.S. My visit was in 1st week of March 2020.

Was a pleasant stay.It is absolutely a value to money hotel.I stayed in a economy single room.Decently spaced room.AC, linen, towels, toiletries are all impressive.Highly recommend.The location of this hotel is the best part.Even though I was provided with common bathroom,the bathrooms were well cleaned and maintained.Good staff and ambience.The only problem I felt is the stairs which we have to climb, means it will be great problem for senior citizens.Reception is on 2nd floor, there is no lift for this. I got the room in 7th floor, from 2nd to 5th floor there is lift, again from 5 to 7th u have to climb the stairs.But its 100% value for money budget hotel.

The hotel is bang opposite the CSMT station within a two minute walking distance. I stayed at a single room with shared bathroom. The room was extremely small(abt 8*6) but comfortable and clean. There was a window ac and a small tv with dth. There was also a small wardrobe and a table with drawers. The bathroom was also clean. The staffs are courteous. Only con was there wasnt any clothes hook in the room to dry yoir clothes. The checkout was at 12pm. I left my luggage and returned to take it back around 4 as my train back home was in the evening. I spend the time in between to explore the gateway of India. They allowed me to use the washroom even after checkout when I returned to take the luggage back. Overall recommended for working stay.

I’m indifferent about this hotel. Hotel City Palace is in the middle of all the action. Tourist sites located nearby and within view of the massive CST station. Many local and chain restaurants nearby, including a few bars.Rooms were clean and AC worked well. Opted for the rooms with unattached (shared) bathroom. The hallways and restroom are constantly trafficked by one other guest and staff of the hotel. The bathroom was not cleaned nearly enough for the amount of use the mentioned were using it. Also, the other guest on our floor had done his laundry in the bathroom and hung it throughout the hallway. Hotel rules said that wasn’t allowed, but staff did nothing to remove the items.Overall, decent stay, but not great.

It was very near to csmt n very friendly staff to all visitors stress free check-in and check out. Bathroom had 24hr water supply and water is not salty. It is very close to famous Aaram Vada Pav stall and walk able distance from sterling theatre.

Hotel is located in prime location which is at walking distance from CST local station.Rooms are small but well maintained with good quality mattress . Room consists of small fridge,electric kettle,tv ,A.C and small cupboard .They provide laundry services also.Hotel do not have in house restaurant but they will provide you food in room as they have collaboration with some nearby restaurant.Room service is provided 24*7 and staff is polite and cooperative.They provide you option to order food online through any service provider and that will be delivered to you in room.Overall it is a good hotel at this budget.They do not have parking for your vehicles and this is the only reason i am giving it four stars and not five.

I enjoyed my stay. Personally It depends on what is important to you, For us, Location was important and we were ok to manage on hotel, but i throughly liked my family room (Little less in size but manageable), comfortable beds and pillow, AC was working fine, Good amount of sun light, Thick curtain to keep dark in room, Toilet were clean, room service was good, Early check-in allowed for us, Staff was polite and Friendly, Next to CST station, a lot of street food, street shopping options. Breakfast is poor and you can only order from 8am. Rooms are small. Building needs paint and painted by a proper painter. No hot water in room at times. No toilet paper.

When I read reviews before going to the hotel, they mostly said that the person at reception is rude. I will definitely agree to that, but then the hotel is at very prime location. The rooms though are similar to machis ka dabbas. You have to bath in Common Bathrooms. The stairs are jitry. But, its still fine if you want to stay overnight merely, and are travelling alone. And per the location, I felt they are charging fine too.

Booked a economy single room with shared bathroom. Service by the attendants on this floor was fine. But, I would not recommend this. In the room, the phone signal service is weak and the wifi is relatively slow. In the first room of this type shown to me, I did see mold on the walls. Room had a smoky smell. A/C was turned off at certain moments and I would have to ask attendant to bring it back on. Front desk attitude seemed to convey more an attitude of customer/guest indifference rather than customer caring service. The actual bathrooms not in great condition. Would not recommend.

Well I booked Superior Triple Room. Staff are very nice and co-operating. I got room at 4th floor. TV fridge and AC are provided. Our stay was very nice and comfortable, although the rooms are small in size.One thing I want to say that charging points are not working properly. It became very difficult to get mobile charge within stipulated time.

Took a small room for single person. But for the charges taken it was good. With ac and all the amenities it was in all a nice stay over there. The place was clean also the staff was friendly. And were kind to guide you on whatever you need. Had a pleasant stay over there without any problems. Also the rates are okay. Not that expensive

I had a very bad experience here, the staff is very unprofessional and rude. They dont even have basic hospitality atticates to welcome their guest. Environment, service and staff are below average but there price is like decent hotel. Dont expect much from them. If couple of friends visiting Mumbai and need a place to crash near cst station then its good. But not at all recommended for couples or families.

It is my favorite hotel. Completely in budget, good filling breakfast at the restaurant below the hotel. Very friendly and understanding staff. There is nothing pros except its locational advantage. It is just in front of CSMT, only 2/3 minutes walk is enough. But, one is to negotiate steep stairs upto 1st floor and only then lift is available. The Rooms are too small as well as their bathrooms. No restaurants of their own, and room service is also not up to the mark. If anyone to stay near CSMT only then it is recommended otherwise it will be a bad investment to book the Hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. Located just opposite the CST station. All the important areas of south Mumbai are within 5 km radius. The hotel is situated in the middle of the market. Getting a taxi, auto or bus is very easy. You can also find good restaurants adjacent to the hotel.The room and toilet were very clean and well maintained.They provide complimentary breakfast and have free Wi-Fi.Considering the size of the room, tariff is on the higher side.ALERT: Avoid economy room; they dont have attached bathroom/toilet

Rooms are soo small that I couldnt accommodate myself I was not able to stand, there was literally no space for baggage, I was feeling frustrated throughout the those 7 min in that room.The room had 1 common bathroom toilet for the entire 5th and 6th floor. I had no other option rather than book another room just besides it.Suggestions:-1)Dont pay anything in advance to these rooms2)Please send someone to have a look on these rooms3) Never ever ever book this hotel even by mistake via Make My Trip4)If you are on a solo trip it is recommended to get this room. Location wise best as it is near to CSTM railway station, but a bit costly and size of the room was very small. Best for those who only wants to sleep.

Firstly this is not a 2 star hotel it is even worst than a normal lodge, they show you booking as deluxe/superior room. When you reach hotel theyshow you deluxe room which is actually is not even better than any lodging room worth 400-550 has not bathroom Facility and they price it for RS.2700, and then they cancelled and provided a economy room, there were not bed sheets and the room was smelling, they promised of providing complementary breakfast inclusive with room but that wasnt provided either, I still was having 3 hours time to checkout but the staff was in hurry and asking me continuously are u checking out as if I should leave now, very disappointed with the services that they provide.

I opted for a non ac private room, which didnt have toilet attached. I opted this room because i didnt wanted to share the space with strangers in a dormitory setup. Also i had 2 huge trolley bags with me. But to my surprise, or shock i would say, the room was very small. just to let u know the magnitude of its tinyness,, I couldnt even stretch both of my hands together, if i would hav raise and tried standing on my fingers, my head would have hit the floor. once my bags were kept on the floor, There was practically no space left for me to stand. just enter the room, climb on the bed, and vice versa. no ventilation watsoever. there was an QC which was kept in a way in between 2 rooms that, both of the rooms get half AC as their share. So i cant switch on and off the AC without the concern of my neighbour at the other room. I later realised, a dormitorg would have been much much much better bcoz atleast i would have got some open space to breath. and some place to navigate within the room atleast.

Location: very near to Mumbai CST station. We reached at 11PM as our train was late. It was a 5 min walking distance but it was raining so we had to get a cab which took around 30rs.Around: there is some veg restaurant near to hotel which was open till 12 in the night.Room: we booked a economy room for 2 persons. Room was extraordinarily small and just the size of of the length of the bed. Ac was cooling just OK, but had no remote to control the temperature. Having a blanket saved us.Cleanliness : average.Washroom : economy room had no attached bathrooms. There were two toilets and two bathing rooms common for many rooms. Hopefully we didnt have much guests in the other economy rooms so it was OK for us. Cleanliness : just about OK, you would survive. Not great.Overall: if you want to stay in a very low budget and very near to station this is good. However staying with family, I would prefer going for their better rooms with attached washrooms. I assume they are much better.

This hotel is available on hourly basis for families and business travelers. Recommended for freshen up. Instead of waiting on the CST platform and if u have a long train to catch, this is a much recommended place for short stay. They have good renovated rooms. Smaller though but its ok for its location.

Booked for its locality, just in front of CST. Complimentary breakfast was nice. Though the hotel is a old building, but they have maintained it very well, rooms were clean. AC was old but cooling very fast. They have TV and fridge also. Only thing lacking was their complimentary water bottles and though they have a coffee maker, they dont provide coffee sachets n sugar. Would recommend if u stay near CST.

Not worth your money. We havent even finished our stay here yet but this is not a place you want to stay at. If I put it like this, were lucky to have our shower and lukewarm water working. Even if you book a non smoker room, they only have smoker rooms. And the breakfast is the most boring weve had in all the places weve stayed at in India. The only good thing I would say is the location which is near the central railway and just a few kilometres from colaba.

The management was very caring and supporting.The owner Mr Zeeshan, The manager Mr Taj and supporting staff were very polite. The breakfast and the Wi-Fi were free. Its a neat n clean hotel opposite to CST surrounded by market for easy shopping.

Rooms which I saw were small and bathrooms very separate which looked kind of unhygienic. The whole place is quite tight. If youre looking for some spacious place without spending more, you might have to find a couple of kilometres away.

The hotel is very clean and they maintain the cleanliness. Staff were always friendly and the hotel employs a 24hr security guard and lift operator. The location is undeniably good, right next to CST. Stayed there with my family and it was a good experience which fit perfectly in my budget.

It was a nightmare this time. No wifi, for wifi I had to carry my laptop to Reception but the Receptionist said he could get wifi only on my cellphone and not laptop. No hot water in bathroom, even normal water was available after a long wait.

The rooms are pretty much like a box with no windows. Suffocating , unhygienic, too costly fir the service provided. Dont recommend at all.

This place is total waste of money and time both, I went to Mumbai on Family trip and booked this hotel as it was looking very nice online. After reaching hotel I found nothing as described online. Just wasted one complete day and night coz of this hotel.This hotel room is just 7 feet by 7 feet which is just very similar to the rooms of central jail.Wifi doesnt work in this hotel.Mobile network and 3G/4G also doesnt work in my room. Sometimes I dont even get even a single signal bar.They do not have option to warm up the packed food too.Blankets are used and stinky.Hotel informed me that they do not provide remote to change temprature of stand alone AC of any room and everytime I want to increse or decrease temprature of my AC I have to call on reception and they will send somebody in the room with the remote of AC to change the temprature. They totwlly denied to gove remote as according to hotel policy they do not gove remote of AC to any guest.Even water jugs were empty.Now I am not sure what I am paying 4000 rupees aper night for and I feel totally cheated.

Location is the best part of this hotel. My tip is take the cheaper rooms with shared bathroom and packs some ear plugs. I booked it because we had to wait for the train for some hours but in the end we left the room and we had to wait in the rail station.

I was there with family in Feb19.It was good for everything. I recomend my friends for this hotel.

Only for bachelors and who are not afraid of narrow ladders. location is really a plus point. rooms are a bit congested without height. given some outside snaps which made my stay worth while.....

Easy to find and has reasonable prices, very close to CSTM
