The place used to be one of the bests previously but feels like it has lost its interest and is doing a favor on people by stitching clothes for them, on entry the staff is least concerned about you and keeps on doing the work they were are doing untill you figure out things on your own, rates have subsequently increased to huge numbers these days which is okay but the stitch quality in terms of fittings has deprived superiorly, if you complain its your mistake and not theirs whatever maybe the reason, been their customer for years now, have traveled long for their services but not sure anymore, the owner can be a little polite to the customers, ghamand kahi nahi leke jayega.

I have been Basu Tailors’s customer for past 20 plus years. Back then he had a very small shop near railway station. My brother use to get his jeans stitched from him. I was overweight so finding a right size for myself was always a challenge. That’s when my brother introduced me to Basubhai. I was reluctant to go to a gents tailor but Basubhai was so polite and a gentleman that I didn’t feel awkward to get my measurements done. Since then and today, I have been getting all my trousers stitched from him. Over the years more women started visiting his shop, so it turned into a unisex shop. The quality, stitching, fitting and fabric is always A1. I feel note plus size women like me should get their trousers stitched from him as no readymade garments can give that perfect fitting. I get my trousers stitched in bulk as they last long. I wish them more growth and more power to them👍🏽

Fantastic place to get your jeans or toursers tailor made. Had been there 20 years ago, and recently too. Technology had improved, however the beauty of handmade fitting are always one would cherish.

Shop especially for Denims, tailored to individual fitting. Also, a small collection of other clothing like Lenin.Sometimes the staff is just not bothered to serve your needs, you have to force yourself for getting attention. But worth the pain, reasonable Denims.

Pathetic fitting and customer care service. Was given a measurement pant, still did a bad fitting. And when told him that it was not done properly, he was not ready to accept and was extremely rude. Doesnt even want to accept his mistake nor want to replace the denim.

You can make Amazing Custom made clothes here. Its slightly expensive. But the quality is really really good. I usually wear ready-made clothes. I ordered a shorts and a waist coat from here. Shorts were for Rs.600/- and waist coat was for Rs. 1500/- The tailors did a fantastic job making these for me. The quality of stitching and materials used (which you can choose) was really really good. I still enjoy wearing those clothes. 5 Star to this place.

Is it a Levis? No, but Im sure you get the hint. Basu tailors is famous for making clothing, especially from the denim fabric. I received their recommendation from a family source, on account of the fact that I couldnt find a ready made jeans that could suit my proportions of a 29 waist and a 34 length.So I decided to tailor a pair through Basu tailors. They have a wide range of fabrics and colours. Believe me, I tried really hard to pick out a shade of light and dark blue from an assortment of other very similar shades. They will take into consideration your choice of fitting may it be straight or skinny or some other desire expressed by the customer. The result was quite impressive. It feels well cut-out, breathable and even a few tacky buttons and steel accoutrements thrown in to make it more fashionable.A Levis is always more welcome into my wardrobe once I develop a more standardised body but even then these jeans can serve as a suitable secondary for daily wear, given that it is at a third the cost.

Awesome fitting

It was my first visit to basu. I stitched formal trouser the fitting and all was good. I wore it for just 2 times and dint even washed it, there was bubbles on the cloth. I went to the shop to show them they were so rude and telling we dont make cloth and giving all the foolish explanations that this is the type of cloth where there are possibilities of getting bubbles at some areas. I already asked them before buying that there wont be any issues of cloth, they were like we take guarantee of that. And when the damage happened they were not accepting there mistake and behaved very rudely. Pathetic experience first and last.

Basu Tailors have been synonymous for good quality & affordable jeans clothing for years now. But, I visited this place in 1st week of June this year & Im convinced that it will be my 1st & only choice for denim shopping..They have a huge, well maintained space for both customers & their tailoring staff, which makes it a pleasant experience to make a choice & get fitted.They offer a range of jeans/formal wear cloth samples, which has to be chosen by the customer themselves. However, I was most impressed by their Masterji or Fit specialist, who takes precise body measurements while taking orders & is equally receptive to changes at the time of fitting trials too.Typically you would spend 15-20 mins max each time & the clothes are made ready within a weeks time. It took me about 15 mins to walk from Sion railway station & is also much closer to GTB Nagar railway station. But Id say its total worth making that walk as I got 2 pairs of jeans for 1700 bucks, which was stitched exactly to my liking!Im definitely making a trip there to get my 1st denim jacket stitched post monsoon! Do see this space for a fresh review then..

I stiched one coudroy trouser as per my specificationI opted for another cloth for jeans type stichingI turned out tight. Afterwards he says that since the material was different and because of jeans type fittings it will be like this only.This he should have told me before hand then I would have opted for strech cloth and would have opted for trouser instead of jeans fitting. Utlimately the second Pant was a flop.Things which he told me afterwards he could have explained before. Now having stiched and paid I have no option.Not veryc customer friendly.They feel what thay do is correct and dont give importance to customer satisfaction.So beware when you visit the shop.

Basu Tailors is famous for its made to order jeans for a long time. It is located near CTB Nagar station on harbour line. one can get down at gandhi market and take a 5 minute walk to reach here. The best part is you can select the cloth for your jeans or trousers and give measurements. The delivery time is usually 10 -15 days and cost per pant is between Rs. 800/1000.
