Yes, it is comparatively expensive. But its worth every penny that youre paying. Theres outdoor and indoor seating arrangements. Youll end up paying approximately 2k per person. The hospitality and service is best! The view is amazing!!! They have Japanese and Korean cuisine

First the ambience was beautiful.. especially the entrance of the restaurant during the rains.The Japanese & Korean cusine was excellent n thankfully not indianised.... Have to mention the Kimbap, pork ribs bbq n tempura shrimps and squids....ohh so authentically prepared n served...so satisfyingly yummy with freshly prepared sauces & Kimchi on the side.For the K drama fans its a nostalgic trip to a Korean eatary.....not to mention the Soju shots poured out of those little green bottles and the chopsticks who have gained my respect.Cannot forget to mention the cordial n attentive staffs especially Ujwal who patiently described the different dishes, how it would be prepared, served and also guided us to the way it should be eaten.In all a very satisfying experience of a new cusine which retained its authenticity...... khamsamida

Shrimp tempura was too oily. Need to use potato starch as batter and in dip there was no mirin.In Bibimbab egg was 1/2 cooked it is suppose to be raw. There was no mirin and beansprouts.

Tucked away on a top of a hill.Has outdoor and indoor seating.Vast menu featuring Japanese and Korean food.Have been a couple of times here before.Had the Pork TonKatsu which was a huge portion.Surprisingly they will Korean side dishes(Banchan) even if you order Japanese food,but no complaints.Service is very warm,however food could be brought out earlier.

Recently dined at Origami located in Powai...went over for lunch on a weekday....Its a nice space...a bit smaller indoors than I imagined, but it does have an outdoor seating option which i imagine is better suited for dinner and cooler weather...Excellent staff and quick service...Loved the Sushi rolls...especially the tempura rolls...the quality of the sushi rolls was very good (even when compared to Wasabi by Morimoto at Taj)...The chicken dumplings were a bit disappointing to me taste and texture wise...Id give that a miss over here....Tried the Korean Ramen as well...was quite a nice change of taste and very filling...The matcha (green tea) cheesecake is a must try...dont miss it...We loved it so much that we took two home :)The food is a bit pricey but absolutelt worth it on occasion..

Origami has good vibes and lovely outside seating. We tried salmon sushi, pork ramen and pork katsu curry. The food was delicious just that the katsu curry was not up to the mark and way too thick. Overall it is a good place for Japanese food.

Visited this place for having korean and Japanese food.I ordered sushi , rice cakes , noodles , beef steak and korean whiskey.Korean whiskey has slight punch which differs from normal whiskey or scotch.Beef steak was tasty and sushi was excellent.Wasabi here tastes better than any restaurant in Mumbai I have ever tasted.Over all good place and should visit.

The ambience is really nice here. It serves 2 types of cuisines - Japanese and Korean. I tried the Korean cuisine. Both veg and non-veg options are available. The food taste is authentic.. This place is so good. The food is amazing. The quantity is good. We tried some Korean food, coz I love korean cuisine. Webhad Gimbap, kkanpunggi ( korean fried chicken in sweet and spicy sauce) and japchae. The Japchae was the best... And for dessert we have the matcha cheesecake. It was sooo good.

What a place.... The entrance of this place seems so beautiful... The bridge is where I actually wanted to had my dinner but then I wanted to have Kerelan food so went upstairs. The bridge area is for the Japanese and Korean food.The place above where the Kerelan food is served is good too.Had drinks with Elayil Pollichathu (a fish dish) it smelled and seems so good but didnt at all good. Basically what you could taste was a fish and gravy.... But the conjunction between the two of them was way far to be tasted, it was one of their must try but I recommend you not to try it. We order mutton cutlets which was pretty good.Had chicken stew with appam and mutton biriyani which was pretty good too.Overall it was a good experience.

What a delightful experience!! Clearly among the best restaurants in town serving Japanese and Korean cuisine.. We tried steamed pork, sushi, tempura and gyoza and every dish was a sublime experience to our palate! Its very hard to find restaurants serving really good pork in this side of town and this place is probably the only answer! The ambience is quiet and relaxed. Staff is extremely courteous and genuinely interested in helping you out with menu selection. The wine is reasonably priced. Overall, a must visit for anyone who loves Far East cuisine!!I must also mention that I will be returning soon to try their Korean BBQ and flaming Sushi!!

This one was tried as a part of the exploration I was having (Try at your own risk). The ramen is something worth trying and is good. The sushi is something which is different than the regular tastes that we get from typical foods and it may or may not appeal to your taste buds. The ambience is very good though.

The restaurant is undoubtedly renowned for Japanese and Korean cuisine, we have been there once and it was a fine dining experience. But we cant say same thing about our recent home delivery experience.We ordered noodles one veg and one non veg. Both noodles soup came without any label on it, we couldnt guess which one is veg and which one is non veg. One of us was Jain who drank the non veg soup out of this confusion. When we called the restaurant, they made all lousy points saying, we should have informed the restaurant about carefully labelling the food while ordering. I mean who asks for labelling the food on every order, we expect the restaurant to take care of it.They are not alone running business in India where a huge population is vegetarian by birth. No other food franchise deliver food with such carelessness, and if they commit such blunder they compensate it. Their food is unreasonably expensive for such a small portion and their service is very disappointing.Would not recommend for home delivery.

Overall - 3.8The love for Japanese and Korean flavors made me pick this place. I enjoyed the food here for sure. I had the Dokkejang soup which is spicy and had glass noodles in it full of flavors and the quantity was really good. Then I had this chicken appetizer with steamed vegetables and sprouts loved loved it. I couldve eaten the entire plate if I were alone. I forgot the name of it but have a picture and hope that helps. Their service was good and the server helped us with recommendations and making the right choice.

We loved everything about this place and cant wait to dine here again.9/10 Update - We chose to dine at Origami after 6 months under lockdown. We had the Pork Mandu soup(pork dumpling soup), Prawns Okonomiyaki(Japanese crispy pancake with cabbage and prawns) and Katsuni Pork Katsu(breaded pork cutlet topped with eggs and katsubushi flakes). All the dishes were delicious and so satisfying!! Absolutely loved it..Fyi they are part of zomato pro plan.

If you go in the day time you will see the outdoor portion flanked by a mountain on both sides. Yes, exactly! Which place in the city would you get a mountain view while dining it out. Sushi, shashimi, bibimbap, you name the dish and its there.We had the Ginger pork for starters. Its called Buta Sobayaki. Served with some fresh greens for salad, it perfectly balances out the fresh and juicy pork bits that forms the dish. Its a healthy portion and it left us a happy bunch! Coupled with the lemongrass cooler, it is amazing. The cooler adds a refreshing touch to the meaty dish and definitely is a must have.We also had the Tofu and beef soup. It is called Sundubu jjigae. Its full of these fresh and sour flavours that forms the Asian palette.And the origami special sushi roll was amazing! Stuffed with avacado, cream cheese, fish and a topping of more fish and flamed caviar, this one you have to try! The flames roast a bit of the caviar giving it a crunchy, popping texture with a smoky flavour.We also had the mochi ice cream. The mochi cakes centers were stuffed with ice cream and was a perfect sweet end to our Japanese and Korean affair at origami.

Origami is a place that is fine dining Korean and was on her bucket list for the longest time ever and so glad that we got to tick it off.Here’s what we tried:1. Lemon Grass cooler - opened the account with something safe. The lemongrass cooler had a slight hint of lemongrass and was refreshing.2. Non veg California Roll - this one was quite better than most other sushi that I’ve had. It was infact quite pleasant and I’m not a lover of sushi.3. Fried Chicken - I was really excited to try Korean Fried Chicken coz I’d heard so much about it. It was actually quite like the normal, usual batter fried chicken with a dipping sauce.4. Prawns kkanpunggi - this dish made my day. The sauce was the most delicious that I have ever laid my hands on. It was a sweet, sour, spicy and thick sauce with some fresh prawns. Could come back just for this.5. Chicken Dolsot Bibimbap - this was the first time I was actually trying this and was quite excited. It’s a mix of a lot of seaweed, meat and rice with a Korean chili paste and some egg. It’s honestly an acquired taste.6. Mochi Ice cream - my first tryst with mochi ice cream as well and I quite enjoyed the chewy confection surrounding the ice cream.Had a great experience. Service was pretty decent and the manager was really sweet. Would definitely recommend for a glimpse of Korean food.

Nice decor with both indoor and outdoor seating. Courteous staff with elegant service. Food is very good with hygiene is well taken care.

Excellent place for Korean and Japanese food. Contrary to what the staff say, the quantity is pretty good, so order less at first. Is a bit pricey (guess charging for location and being an exotic food joint). Staff is friendly and food is tasty. I only wish Soju was cheaper out there.

Sushis are great. Their Korean selection of dishes are also top notch. Service is good. Staff is knowledgeable. The indoor seating is limited and outdoor seating would be advised only in the evening. Wine selection is average. Mocktails are decent. Pricing wise the place is a bit on the expensive side, as all other good Japanese restaurants. Overall, a good dining experience and would come back for more.

We have ordered four different cuisines. All of them were authentic and awesome. I liked the pot rice and the shoyu ramen the most.

Origami which is authentic Japanese restaurant is located at a beautiful location at Powai, the view is amazing and it is very rare to get a view as such from a restaurant. The place has both outdoor as well as indoor seating arrangement, I would prefer the outdoor one anytime of the day and especially in the night as it may be lit with beautiful lamps, origami written on it.This was my first ever visit to an authentic Japanese restaurant and I am really in love with the food here. The staff is commendable and very prompt with really good recommendations. We were dining in at this really beautiful place last night. It’s located in a really premium and picturesque locale overlooking the whole of Powai which is a really beautiful sight.The food is really fresh and quite well prepared. They really maintain the highest standards of dining which help them qualify for the tag of fine dining.Food wise the taste is extremely good. We were sceptical since we assumed that we have never tried Japanese and Korean and won’t like it but the food was really really good.The service and the managers were also really sweet and caring and they took really good care of us.Here’s what we tried:1. Kimchi soup - the kimchi Soup was really earthy, warm and spicy. It had a whole load of seaweed, cabbage, chicken, mushrooms and was loaded with ginger and pepper. Really loved the strong spices and flavours.2. Tempura moriswase - the tempura batter was light as fluff. The prawns were really fresh and the whole combination was airy and really well balanced. Loved it.3. Fresh pineapple juice - was quite refreshing and good.4. Green Thai curry with prawns - this is one of THE best Thai curries that I have ever had. It was really thick and creamy, had a whole load of veggies and prawns loaded in it with crazy amounts of flavour. This was served with sticky rice and I’d go back just to have this. Totally in love with it.5. Chocolate Fondant - the chocolate fondant was warm and heavy and was really good. Served with ice cream it was like a warm hug.Loved the food and would definitely want to come back for more here.

Kimchi fried rice and egg sushi are treat for your tastebuds .Had chicken khimchi rice . It is enough proportion for two . Ordered two pieces of sushi . Egg sushi is delicious too ..The wasabi sauce is near perfect . Authentic Japanese and Korean cuisine served along with chopsticks. Must try the place if you wish to try authentic Asian food.

Great place for Japanese and Korean food. Dishes ordered were (not in order) a Tonkatsu, Korean Fried Chicken, Sushi, Cold Soba Noodles with dipping sauce, Tonkatsu don, pork sizzler, shoyu ramen, ginger pork, yaki udon and mochi ice cream. The uaki udon is not so great, tastes like regular Chinese noodles. The rest of the dishes were very well prepared. Each has its own flavor and will want you wanting more. The lemon grass ice tea is very refreshing. Hands down this is one of the best places for Japanese and Korean food !

Origami was a great find. We read the amazing reviews and visited this restaurant on the Hiranandani hill. Mr. Kashinath is an amazing manager. He made some.good suvgestions with the food, was extremely courteous and youd enjoy a chat with him.The food was authentic. We had the sushi with tempura prawns and tuna. It was followed by Chicken Kampunggi and a bowl of hot and spicy ramen. We finished with Green Tea Icecream and Tempura Ice cream. All of the items mentioned are highly recommended. This was all accompanied by Sake, which was amazing. There was prawn barbeque being cooked in front of us and served, which looked very interesting.Do give this place a try and leave a comment on what you loved most. If youre Korean or Japanese, i have read that this is one of the authentic places youd get in Mumbai. Peace!

It was my first time trying Korean food. We ordered food based on recommendations and must say they all tasted so good. A little more pricy but you dont get Korean food everywhere so it was kind of worth it. You should definitely try it as K-wave is going to hit India very soon.

We tried sushi for the first time and this place is super duper awesome I must say in terms of taste and authenticity ... We went for Maki Sushi (the wrapped one) and it was super delicious... We accompanied our sushi with Korean Shin Ramyun Soup, its a noodle soup, we had it in chicken variation which was the option suggested by restaurant

The place and ambience gets a solid 4/5.There is Valet Parking but is on a hill so its a hike to get to the restaurant. the food is extremely authentic and some people like me may not find it ideal for acquiring spicy and tasteful food. A bit tasteless I would say. An average 2/5 for food. but the quantity they provide is enough for 2-3 people easily.
