It’s good. Go ahead
Well! Atmosphere is nice and the most important thing seats are very comfortable 😂
One of the Best and Iconic theater of Mumbai❤️
Just like any other theater. Check before you visit. Due to government restrictions for covid it is closed as of now.
Nice place to watch movies really enjoy watching movies in this Cineplex 👌👍
It has very good connectivity. Very close to CST Railway station. The Food Court on the ground floor is good. Some of the Screens in a few Auditoriums are not that huge.
Is free guy releasing there anytime soon if yes please send me details
Place has restarted. Only one snacks counter on the top floor is open. Adequate COVID protocols are being followed
Good viewing experience. Washroom is one floor above. Not grandeur but very nominal prices
I just want to ask in which screen Mumbai Sagas 12.20 pm show will be screened , please ??
One of the best theater in the city near CSMT RAILWAY STATION
A great movie theater in MumbaiThis is a classic movie theater in the Village, been here forever. Outstanding selection of new and older films with a terrific atmosphere. Good refreshments too. Definitely a must for the film lover.
Good place with multi screens and mini foodhall kind
Of course firstly very big and clean plus sanitisation is a good.. environmentally good....
My favourite in mumbai awesome love itt so much
Best cinematic experience you can have .
Ive always loved this cinema.. Even before it had multiple screens. But now its even better. Very good place for us lot who dont like those actual multiplexes. This is much more cosier... Love the place.
Sterling Cinema (also referred to as Sterling Theatre) was opened in 1969 with Doctor Dolittle, a Hollywood musical. Sterling was a frontrunner in terms of technology, being the first cinema in India to introduce Dolby sound and Xenon projectors.[3] In terms of snacks and shows too, Sterling was the first cinema in India to introduce Vikrams kofta, matinee shows as well as late night shows.[1] In fact, at one time Sterling was the only cinema in South Mumbai to have a late night show.[4] Its matinee shows were popular among students of nearby colleges.[3] As a single screen cinema, Sterling used to screen only Hollywood films.[5] Ajay Bijli, the owner of PVR Cinemas (then Priya Cinema in New Delhi) visited Sterling Cinema in 1990, which was then the only cinema in India with Dolby sound and was so impressed by it that he convinced his father to remodel Priya Cinema along the lines of Sterling, with Dolby sound and screening Hollywood movies.[6][7] In 1999, Sterling was looted by robbers armed with knives. The robbers beat up cinema staff and locked them in toilets before escaping with cash and valuables.[8]
Sterling cineplex is my a time favourite theatre...
A Must-Choose theatre for a 3D movie is what I would say about Sterling Cinema! The 3D setup at this theatre is commendable! I have watched The Lion King at this theatre and I was extremely amazed by the print quality. Seats are just too comfortable giving you the best movie experience . Services at this theatre are at reasonable prices with humble servicemen at your help. Sterling cinema has food outlets too on the ground floor for a quick snack. The theatre gets a 5 stars rating for a great movie setup, especially 3D, humble staff, delicious food and reasonable ticket prices.
Excellent theatre for people having decent budget to watch the movie, nice seats and a good crowd that we experience. I have visited the sterling many times and watched many movies, eating facilities also available at the ground floor of the theatre and the quality of the food is also nice. A family friendly ambience with the wide variety of audience to watch the movie with. Overall great experience as usual.
One can reach Sterling Cinema very easily from CST station. As compared to other cinema halls in the vicinity, the cost is lower. Yet what I like here is the cleanliness and strong music system in the theatre. The lightning is also decent and makes for good ambience.Ive visited it often as its closer to Xaviers so wed just head there after classes. The cost is also nominal. There are food stalls inside the theatre but I prefer the ones that are outside the theatre. For a 3D experience though, Id recommend heading to bigger cinema halls.Sterling does a good job at being a nice neighborhood cinema hall with sufficient facilities and decent crowd. Id recommend visiting here for a movie if youre not looking for highly premium experience. The location is also very compatible. Overall makes for a good choice.
Multi purpose commercial complex cinema hall along with national Insurance company
Its a good place to watch movies. There is no disturbances during movie shows and the seats are comfortable. You can eat stuffs if you want to and you will enjoy the movie fully too. I definitely enjoyed 😆💯
Loved Sterling when I was studying in Xaviers in 1973 - 77, esp when our group used to frequent the matinee at 10.30 am, I think. Superb films at students-friendly rates. Then it used to be a single screen. Love those days and this theater. Watched some great movies there as a student and as a couple marrying one of the students going to watch the films there. I remember the fun watching IF ITS TUESDAY, IT MUST BE BELGIUM.
Best....its a very good place for watching movies. The seats are comfortable and one can reach their easily and it also maintains a clean and silent place. You can also have ur favourite veg and non-veg and can have fun with your friends as well as families
A perfect set of auditoriums to be called as multiplex. Everything about the place is good. There is an ATM, 4 cafeteria, clean restrooms. Sound system of auditoriums are awesome. Screen 4 is best for 3D. I have watched almost all Marvel movies here. Cost of tickets are economical. Public parking is available outside the theatre. The only problem is auditorium 3. Its like a streched one.
Pretty amazing when I went for the first film after lockdown, no contact at all!
It is a very old cinema converted into a new one. It still had the shows displayed the old school way which was very cool. There are some commercial offices also in the building. The place is too good. There are many restaurants close by for all those who want to grab a bite after a long movie. In whole a great place to. Hangouts!!
Average experience to being here for movie,no queue management in interval, waited for my booked food but not got on time, Its better if this theatre have online food booking as well along with ticketIts saves a lot time and impressive online discounts too
Too Good
A theatre where you can find niche movies being played. The ticket pricing is very reasonable. The seats are fine. There is ample of parking available around. There is food service too available at the entrance of the theatre. There are two screens here. The crowd here is upscale so the movie experience is most of the times fine. It is close to CSMT station. I would totally recommend this in place of any other expensive multiplex. It is value for money.
Great multiplex to enjoy movies. Sound system is excellent and ambience is also great. Seating is comfortable and late night shows are more enjoyable at this venue. Highly recommended.
A great multiplex theatre which has a good food court and loads of eateries around. The seating and screens are great as well so is the price, affordable for all. Look at the book my show app for ticket prices and show timings.
A budget theatre ... Situated in CST very walkable distance from CST station..Good thing about this theatre is interval time snack is very affordable in comparison to other multiplex where they literally loot people..The only con i found for this place is that no lift option is available for this place which can be frustrating for elderly peoples.Overall nice theatre!!!
Most of the people were not wearing masks in the theatre and no attendant was posted in the hall to ensure compliance.
Although the seats are comfortable, the arrangement is not elevated on a slope but its at the same height. So the neck gets strained looking up a little. The row spacing or leg space is less and people have a problem in moving in or out. The audio-visuals are good. However, it is a great visit to experience old Bombay scenario.. for we Bombay lovers ✌️😍
Sterling is a amazing theatre, very good with the lightning part in the Ambience. The service is quite good & appropriate one. Food is also good but too costly which is not worth to buy.
Very nice and clean but stink inside the theatre not sanitised as it has to be
Quality more viewing at a reasonable cost. Once I lost my phone here and the lady at the entrance called and left it with the manager for me to pick up. Mr. Noel Tata, you are running a fantastic place. Wish you all the best sir
They have excellent sitting arrangement for you to watch a movie. They offer good quality of 3d glasses. They even have a cafeteria just at the entrance. Their tickets are affordable but interval snacks served are little pricey. The sound system is very good the quality of movies shown is also excellent. The crowd there is also good. Near the theater there are many options for dinning
The theatre is quite clean and pocket friendly. They have a food court underneath with a variety of choices to pick from. The snacks at the theatre counter are good too.
Very easy to spot as its near the C.S.T. station. The crowd was good, too. The theatre itself was.l clean and there was no disturbance. The staff was helpful. The prices arent too expensive either. Perfect for college going student with a limited budget.
Since I stay near to this cinema I love this place for so many reasons.I love this place because it is surrounded by trees so its very nice to chill with friends and its breezy.I love this place because the facilities are great. Washrooms are right on the first floor. Food facility is good.I love this place because Ive had an amazing experience inside the theatre. So this theatre is a great place in many ways.
Its a wonderful comfortable sitting multiplex with sound effects also good. Food served is good. With Subway outlet in the ground floor with gelleto ice cream available here in the theatre.
Location of this place is very good and the parking is also available. The price of the popcorn is ok but the taste is not worth the money. Any flavour is 140/- large cold drink is 130/-The space between the seats is very less. Seats are not even too comfortable. I am 6 feet tall my legs were just cramped because of less space
Its good for watching those movie which you know are not really worth watching but still really wanna watch as you can get movie tickets for comparatively cheaper. Although theres very less leg room so wouldnt recommend for tall people. They have a quite a few selections of food as well to chose from although I wouldnt recommend the popcorn.
Its gives correct location
The chairs are not comfortable. The movie hall is a flat out hall, youll have to look far up to look at the screen. Not bad for a movie hall, but theres better options nearby. If going here then look for a distant seat to get a sweeter view or else it will end up being a vile waste of your money! The good thing is that the screen is quite big! Cheers!
The iconin sterling theatre now turned into multiplex. The place is small but still pretty good. The Ac is really chilled
I have been coming to sterling when it was single screen... By that time the Dolby stereo was the happening in town... And the first movie was Casper.. In mid-90s.... Sterling has grown with that period and so too me.... Thumbs up sterling
Best multiplex. Reasonable price. No long advertisements. Many restaurants in and around the area. Parking is also available at a reasonable cost.
Good sound system. Big screen . Well arranged seating system. Availability of cafes and much more. Specially mirror where we can click a good image with friends.
Sound, screen all good. Seats r totally congested specially those last all 7 rows. No leg space. If u sit in middle row one would feel as if they r kissing the characters. The screen is big, the place is small. Coming to food its all OK with good variety. Self service for food is requested. Parking place is little bit ahead. Staff is greatly supportive.
The theater is good, except the washroom as they are pretty small compared to such a huge theatre. But the overall experience, the audio and all was pretty good.
The theatre is alright. Seats are not that comfortable.Tickets aint that expensive. Food inside is also priced moderately.A very old cinema in south Mumbai. Have decent variety of shows and the timings are fine.. Overall an decent experience
Nice theatre. . me and my bestie watched Avengers & Frozen 2 here ..😄I had so much fun here
Nice place to watch movies. The location itself makes the most of it. Cleanliness is best. Only issue I found was drinking water should been there at multiple points. Subway and other snacks stations and waiting area add upto the theatre. Co operative staff and administration.
Sterling cinema has been around for donkeys years, and has been one of the most cherished place to watch Hollywood cinema before the advent of multiplexes. It was the place for young men and women from college to be, like the stairs of sterling cinema were a hangout place and I am sure the cool ones from my generation will recollect that. However the times have changed and it is now a multiplex itself. It dishes out all the the Bollywood and a bit of Hollywood, but the place is still great value for money. The stairs are no more a hangout place, but they have wok, some American pizza and subway.
The seating arrangement of screen 3 is not up to the mark. I had taken the best seat in the last row and had to literally stretch my neck for the entire movie as I couldnt see the screen clearly because of poor architecture. No value for money as the fare is high but the theatre experience doesnt justify the cost.
Good
Very easily accessible. Very well maintained. Good Ambience and very good for family outings
Dec. 2019: Good movie quality in terms of 3D screens and sound but Sterling Cineplex lacks the comfort seating of its recently refurbished competitors. Still a value multiplex with a relatively affordable & appealing mini food court.
The cinema hall is pathetic, seats dont recline, the AC doesnt work well. There are better cinema halls for slightly higher ticket prices. The 3 stars is only for the valet parking available.
A very good theatre because its well managed, is very clean, washrooms are clean too, food court is good and most importantly the seats are comfortable and air conditioning is good and ofcourse the screen and sound system are amazing. Reasonable rates.Go for it!
A good movie experience with good picture and sound quality. The food items in the cafeteria, which is at the entrance, are very attractive. I often take bites into my friends subway burgers, they are good :-). The tickets are cheaper for morning shows and reasonable even for the evening shows. I remember seeing Baaghi 2 and Rampage in 80 to 90 rupees. Good place to hang out with friends and family. Happy watching!!!! :-)
The theatre is clean and the air conditioning is just optimal. There is variety to choose from for refreshments, right from Subway to Gelato. The lighting is bright, and so, not strenuous. The staff needs to be a little more cooperative, and they havent been following the new rules to allow outside food in the theatre.
Seats can be more comfortable... Theres hardly any space in between therows for movement... In all.. The prices are affordable.. Easy to reach...
Theyve got a bunch of screens and theyre all surprisingly well maintained. The food court on the ground floor has done good options for munchies. They still have an old school box office, which is so nostalgic! Go give this place a try. Theres a couple of coffee shops, restaurants, hangouts around as well. So it turns into a full experience and not just a movie.
Every age has its storytelling form, and video gaming is a huge part of our culture. You can ignore or embrace video games and imbue them with the best artistic quality. People are enthralled with video games in the same way as other people love the cinema or theatre.Theatre has a good interior, prices are bit costly but the thrill you experience is amazing and worth the price.
Reasonably priced. Cafeteria in the lobby is good and affordable. Plussnacks in the theatre too are much cheaper than any multiplexes in town. Value for money.
This place has not changed in a long time....i loved this theater as a teen and coming back here after 22 years was nostalgic .....go with family friends or just that one person....you will enjoy the movies here
