I see several bad ratings, but my experience with this branch was quite positive. I visited multiple times and my work was done smoothly. There is bit of waiting time depending on time of the day.

Very pathetic service and very bad experience will never suggest hdfc to any one only making fool to customers and misguiding to customers how they are surviving no idea .during lock down also just harrasin customers

If there was a half star I would give that and if if there were more adverbs to choose that would be great. The worst bank/branch service ive ever come across. After 2.5 months and after giving all the documents required HDFC Malad Branch tells me that now I have to go to Vasai branch to get my disbursement. Seriously!!! . All this while you did not check which branch my disbursement should be coming from.? When I approach the Vasai branch, they tell me this document is not uploaded on your loan, that document is not uploaded, whereas all these documents were given at least 15+ times. Do they ever read the emails? Important steps of credibility check was not done which is the show stopper for the disbursement. I have sent 50+ emails asking them whats he status, not one hdfc representative replies, the only person who replies is the person who was checking our sanction amount Mr Kiran. Bhavin C, DivyenP, these people were copied on all the emails, none of hem ever came back telling me whats the status or why is it taking this long. We are at the verger of getting a penalty based on 27 lakhs disbursement request. If this penalty would come on them, would they delay?? I would like to know whom should I escalate this matter to so that this laid back and lousy people should know that the jobs you hold there do justice to it, many people are out of jobs.

God it was a hell of a ride.I stay in malad west, My loan was approved and the branch allotted to me was thane later after 2days they said your papers are shifted to vashiAnd then after few months I get a mail.Good News! To serve you better your branch is shifted to Dombivali.Did they really mean serve me or screw meWorst Bank of the world is what I will say.Dont ever take loan, they make you sit for hours .Dominic Baptista

Waiting since last 1 hr, all officer are sitting free but not attending us... Went to branch manager, he was clueless whats happening.... Just ignored us and acted as if he cant hear....too bad

Very poor services offered by the HDFC Home Loan Malad west Branch. Hours and hours of waiting. It took me 1.5 hrs just to submit one document and get it acknowledged. They offer their best services just at the time of loan sanction. Pathetic after sales services. Did not expect such services from this top rated financing company.

Speed of service is slammed. The guy serving us was polite and quite helpful. However, the official responsible for generating receipts for prepayments is quite lethargic. He also committed a petty mistake in my receipt and took 45 minutes to issue the corrected one. I would prefer another branch.

The process of hdfc bank is so lengthy and the people working have a very limited knowledge they work as if they are a govt entity so slow in everything... PATHETIC SERVICE!!!!!

Firstly they make you wait for hours n hours at the bank.. secondly they aren’t responsive or don’t take accountability...!!!!! Such poor service.. Post registration I’ve submitted the docs it’s been 25 days and when ever I follow up they say tomo but the next day they keep saying still waiting on legal approval...it’s been 25 daysssssss.. it is so frustrating.. even after submitting all the docs firstly they won’t check it properly and say soemthing or the other is missing after two weeks, they won’t tell u they need email verification. N bla bla.. even after ya credit scores and not having any other loan are good they trouble u so much...! I’ve literally called the customer service number n emailed them twice but no response at all... love how they don’t adhere to SLA and ask u to pay for the loan without even approving the documents...!!!!!I’m super frustrated with the sellers reaching out to me n not being able to tell them anything..!!!!!Plz have someone reach out to me n give me a status about my home loan...This is only getting ridiculous..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had to wait for almost 2 hours to speak to any employee/attendant. Also after so long waiting, dint receive any proper information on the procedure of loan disbursement. Staff was like trying to reduce the customers by just answering casually to their queries and moving on to the next customer. No call back number, or call back contact person details given for a follow up. Gave email ids written on paper and when mailed to them, no response received at all.They need to update their service qualities. Bad experience.

My husband applied for NRI home loan from US.The online approval process was smooth and loan got approved in 1 week. However after that nobody contacted us for further guidance.My husband used to wake up early every morning as per US time so that he can speak to someone in Malad(Mumbai) office.however nobody would respond over call or email. After few days we finally got one contact person number : Rohit Bhosale. My husband did contact him. But again he was not advising correctly regarding the documents required for disbursement of loan. Also, he even block my husbands number even though we just used to call him once in morning only when we had a query. Dont know whether they understand that we stay in US and we just have limited time overlap so we can only talk in that period. We tried to raise complain on their grievances site but that is also not responsive.

No one cares about your time. Employees are very arrogant and they feel that you owe to them.

My disbursement was done in the month of Aug and till date i am waiting for MOD franking, was not expecting this kind of service from HDFC very disappointed.

Lessons I learnt when having a home loan from HDFC. I will continue editing with new findings overtime.1) Don’t take a loan if you are a proprietor (always take it on individual or joint), they won’t tell you this but RBI rules relating to earlier closure or prepayment are not applicable if a proprietorship company was added when taking the loan even if you decide to close it down. Basically you’ll be locked out from transferring your loan with a heavy fee. They will here tell you that you should have read the policy and you will usually end up ignoring this as part of your happiness to buy a Home. No one can help you here. Your mediator backs out, your accounts people won’t help you either and the govt will favour them over you.2) Interest rate will always goes up with notifications from this company. But it will never come down even if you have taken a flexible rate of interest. RBI might cut down repo rate but this bank will not bring down your interest automatically or even send you a notification. You have to keep a track of this and you have to reach out to the bank. Also if you intend to reduce the interest rate, you have to pay a rate change fee. I’ve got a request to pay about 36k.3) If the interest rate goes up nationally, this company will not raise your EMI automatically, instead they will simply change your payment of load. I had set mine for 20 years. When interest rate increased I went to check with this company, they simply said we have increased the duration to 21.5 years. This means even after paying EMI for a year, you end up being right where you started.4) You are taking a loan from this establishment, don’t ever come to a conclusion they are there to help you. They usually blame it on ‘internal policy’ if anything ends up working in your favour.Edit as of Nov 20195) They charge you simple interest on loan prepayment incase you pay mid of the month. The weird rule is 1st is the only day of the month you don’t get charged. And if 1st falls on a Sunday or a holiday, you have unfortunately lost that month. Evaluate cautiously.Edit as of Jun 20206) They are not accepting prepayments of home loan until lockdown is over. As of now we are on LOCKDOWN 5. So much for Digital India! They want to make sure they charge you heavier interest by not allowing prepayment. Also if you choose to opt for moratorium you’ll end up paying interest additionallyEdit as of July 20207) Starting 1st July 2020, all debtors will pay additional 8.6% as simple interest on prepayment amount based on the day we pay. I paid on first, so one day is considered and it’s no longer on a no cost basis.Edit as of Jan 20218) So we cleared as much loan in prepayment recently as they removed the clause of penalty in prepayment in Oct 2020. It’s better to clear as much as possible instead of investing in FD or Mutual Funds
