Good Dry dock.. Can get Reefer, AC connection.. But No Sewage connection..Rest rooms were good..A bit difficult to get Shore leave for ship staff..

Job is contract basis & dont have assurity that your contract get renew or not. No assurity of job.

A place that clearly change peoples view of Indian Sea Faring. The Modern infrastructure and High tech equipment makes it a very good place on west coast for ship building. Eventhough not par the world standard it is still the State of Art compared to other Indian Ship building places. Reaching here is hard for a new person as the area is not demarcated and sign board are not placed.

Go and see the ship building. I have completed training from this dockyard. Great to learn. Submarines, naval ships, few merchant ships under construction, need a pass to visit the dockyard. For training police clearance is mandatory. But if you ever get a chance to visit this dockyard dont miss the opportunity.

One of the best ship building yards in India which builds ships and submarines for the Indian Navy and Coast Guard. Has a lovely little museum showcasing the history of the Mumbai docks and ship building activity from the olden times to the present with scale models and lots of interesting information and photographs.

It is a PSU. Several plants are there and are well maintained.

Superb place to visit as you get a whole new experience if you have never seen how ships are made.I visited in Oct17 when there were 4 war ships were under construction.I came to know that a war ship takes around 8 years to complete. Inside an under construction war ship there is too less space to move but you see many fascinating things and wonder how painstakingly all the engineers manage to work inside it in extremely hot condition.I also managed to see an under construction submarine. They have a biggg canteen area for workers and visitors where food is good.Mind you their security checks are of very extreme standard,they dont allow mobile phones to the visitors and even their employees carry a phone without a camera which is provided by the company itself.Overall experience was great!👍👌

This place is under prohibited area. I had had been to the place as an invitee for some function. Geographicaly it is a part of Mumbai port and specifically occipied by Mazgoan Duck Ship Builders Ltd , an PSU of Govt of India.long ago there was a very small village named Mazgoan and the dock is named after that fishermen village.The company engaged in shipbuilding is is dedicated to the nation . Besides it can build different types of ships as required by the Govt of India.
