Its a nice place. In the heart of the city. Good staff. But there are some maintenance issue. In our room bathroom lock was not properly working.

Due to knee problems, I felt toilet WC is too low.Atleast some Handel should be fixed in the wall to take support to get up from WC.Every time we had to request for TV activation.

A little overpriced, dont get me wrong but just a lil over priced(tariff per night) by say 700 to 900 rs.Thats the only con.Rest the service, the behaviour of the staff , the room decor,the washroom decor is all good.Location was good to could find starbucks just around the corner.Will say you will have a peaceful stay at the property.

I stayed at Hotel Surya Prakash for a duration of 4 nights for a Business/Solo visit to Mumbai. I had a comfortable experience and was able to work without any hindrance.The hotel is strategically located at the heart of chembur, with easy accessibility to train, bus stations, ATMs, food stores and other amenities. It offers a range of stay options from budget to luxury rooms.Surya Prakash is recently renovated and the rooms are super clean. The staff is courteous and pleasant to talk to. Any request for a room service is tented to immediately.I had the opportunity to interact with the owner Surya. He ensures every guest at the hotel has a seamless experience.All in all, I had a comfortable stay and left as a happy customer.

Hotel is an average hotel. Average because the design needs to be more user friendly.Cons - The bathrooms / toilets are in many rooms raised higher than the ground because of which senior citizens find it difficult to ascend. Even after going in the bathroom, the levels are uneven, so, there is a risk of losing balance.The beams situated in some bedrooms are such that we may unknowingly collide with them at night.Rooms need to be clean. AC s need refurbishing as they make a lot of noise. The noise of drills and other things that is going on make the hotel room noisy.Pros - The staff is very cooperative.Good hot water facility available 24/7.

As such place is good renovation work is going on. As a result at present one Has to tolerate the sound of construction work. Dont go by the pic of the room in website. It is totally different. May be after completion of the work, it will look like that. No in-house restaurant. Behaviour of the staff is good. Clean rooms and toilets.

It feels a lot worse than it looks in the pics. Makes sense for a 2 star hotel. Had to ask for soap and toilet paper. Towels looked dirty/stained so we asked for more. My cousin recommended we check the rooms first and good thing we did. A/C didnt work in two of them. The room we settled on, the A/C stopped working through the night. There is a big fan but it needs to be on its high setting to keep the room temp good, which means its really loud. Not all the electrical outlets work, fortunately one by the bed did.Trying to set the water temp for the shower was difficult and by the time you get it right you will have finished.Leaving the hotel at night was a bit scary, I wouldnt recommend it. They lock up so if you do leave hopefully there is someone there to let you in. I didnt have much trouble.Breakfast was included but it is made off site. Coffee and tea for breakfast are from a machine with a ton of sugar. If you want it without sugar its a special request they get offsite.Wasnt expecting much from a 2* place so this did meet our needs other than the broken A/C.

Stayed here for 3 days. A nice and simple hotel and a very budget friendly. Car parking is their but is a bit congested and need some time to get the car outside. The staff can bring you food from the nearest restaurants and they serve you the breakfast as complimentary though they dont have any own restaurant they brings it from the nearest restaurants. The boy will come and ask you for what you need in breakfast and will then get it to you as per your order. Liked the stay over their.

Very closely located to Chembur station I found this nice and comfortable. Compared to other hotels in the nearby location I found this one cheap and clean. The rooms are big and spacious and comfortable for three. The managing staff are really good to talk with and I would suggest you if you are a girl and traveling alone this will be a better stay as you will feel safe. One con about this place is it doesnt have a restaurant of its own but actually it doesnt matters as they provide you food from nearby restaurants.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Had a Deluxe room which was clean. Comfortable bed. Excellent air-conditioning. Spacious cabinet to hang clothes and hangers were provided.However, when I checked in the bathroom was filthy. Horror of horrors. I complained and within an hour it was cleaned and was sparkling. All it needs is for the owner to appoint a good Housekeeping Supervisor who understands hygiene. Each room AND THE TOILET/BATHROOM should be inspected before allotment to a new guest. Attention should also be paid to dusting the furniture. For the rest of my stay the toilet was kept clean and hygienic.The room tariff includes complimentary breakfast of Rs. 100/- per day for single occupancy. No restaurant but they have tied up with Geetha Bhavan a vegetarian restaurant. Select from the menu, placed in the drawer beside your bed, inform reception of your selection and it is delivered soon... hot and yummy.Friendly reception personnel. Enjoyed my stay.

Real good clean hygienic budget hotel especially for corporate stay. Even family will be comfortable as located in a good surrounding resi as well retail shop area

The place is located conveniently in the Centre of Chembur. Rooms are good and their biggest plus point is extremely courteous staff and service. They dont have a restaurant but they have room service and you can easily go through the multiple menu options and place your orders.

Only negative point is about old furniture. Hope this would be taken care of during renovation. Rest all very good especially the staff.

The best lodge in chembur to stay comfortably

Stayed there two times in 2008 and 2009, very dissapointed, had cockroaches in our room and the staff is very unfriendly. nope changed to better hotels in Juhu Vicinity.

In Mumbai, most budget hotels do not have an in-house restaurant. Same goes for this place. But its clean and safe and near the Chembur railway station. And there are plenty of good cafes and shops all around. For someone staying in Mumbai for a day or two, this wont be a bad place.
