Doctor Jyotsana Oak is the best doctor ever. Thoroughly professional. Extremely helpful. Posses all the patience in the world. I look forward to her follow ups for my mother. Because she is so concerned for her patients health, its sureal. She helps us clear all our doubts. She masters her field unlike anybody else. No doctor like her. Having a good doctor is a blessing. Doctor Oak is indeed a blessing.

Very very unprofessional, I understand she has all the experience in the world but did not seem to care to even look at the reports, insisted to follow her diagnosis no questions asked. My parents traveled for a day for their appointment to their worst experience ever. Will NEVER recommend to anyone. Will definitely bring this to Senior Managements and owners attention.

Please think twice before visiting. I wish there is a provision to provide no star. I booked an appointment for 6 pm on Saturday. I got a call from hospital staff that my appointment has been preponed to 3 pm. I reached here at 2:30 pm. After waiting for more than one and half hour, I asked doctor when is she going to call our name. Shockingly she said she was not informed about this appointment reschedule. These guys are extremely unprofessional and dont give damn about patients time. Only the building is good from outside. The service is pathetic. There are many small clinics and hospitals in mumbai that show great professionalism and provide excellent customer service. Hope I dont have to visit this place in future.

I wish there was even a ‘No star’ button for this particular doctor as I feel ashamed to even give her a one star cause she surely does not deserve that.So here’s our experience:My grandfather who was treated under Dr. Jyotsna Oak at KDAM, was admitted on 4th July, 2018 and passed away on 11th July, 2018. Our family was never informed about the daily teatments, tests or diagnosis process throughout. We had the worst experience. He did not have any cardiac problem when he was admitted but due to aggressive treatments and medication (including steroids about which we were never informed) led to pressure and impact on his heart. Dr. Jyotsna Oak is extremely rude and the worst doctor we’ve ever met. She treats patients like toys. We really lost a very special and close family member only because of the ill treatment by the hospital and horrible behavior shown by Dr. Jyotsna Oak. Our bad we got her as our doctor. She treated our family members like we were some criminals whenever we tried to ask her anything about the diagnosis or treatment happening on my grandfather. Guess her target was just to get a 3 lakh plus bill from our family and take a God persons life for a toss. We regret that we admitted him in KDAH when he was fit and fine with just little and minute problems which would not have to led to this hell. Our entire family is very very disturbed and everyone is still in a shock.

Worst doctor...wont recommend it to anybody...She treated my mom with rheumatoid arthritis for 2yrs...and when the pain kept on increasing... we consulted some other doctors...that time we came to know that she was been treated wrong...She had osteoarthritisThis doctor dint even bother to check what the problem was...inspite of getting negative rheumatoid factor in the reports...she kept on treating my mom with the same thing...This resulted in gap between the knees. Now doctors are recommending for total knee replacement.....It is all because of dr jyotsa oak....V feel helpless now

I would just say that the life I am living today is given to me by Dr. Jyotsna Oak. I was diagnosed with SLE ( lupus) and was in a very critical condition. I hail from Kolkata and was suggested to take advise from an expert rheumatologist. I was lucky to find Dr. Oak in Mumbai. There I was admitted to KDAH for 10 days under Dr. Oak I was completely bed ridden then, but after remaining under her supervision and guidance its a year now, I can walk, climb stairs and perform most of my work on my own.She is my life saver I would like to take this platform as an opportunity to thank her again and the team of doctors under her.

Now a days Doctors in metros are only money making machines. They charge 1500/- per visit but no solution. we visited her for long term pain she couldnt catch properly. visiting 3 time almost lost 5000. plus she asked for x-ray, MRI, all types of blood test nothing came in tests. She had no clue whats going on. Simply given pain killers and even -ve thyroid in tests, she was giving thyroid medicines. Its kind of joke now a days for doctors in metros for treating. One thing I couldnt find about lot of people complaining about her rudeness. She was polite to us (for that 2 star). For treatment zero star. Kokilaben hospital is looting people without any proper treatment.

Dr.Oak would have been a great doctor only if she was lesser rude and would give more time to her patients. I spent 1500 bucks on an average towards her consultation only to see her for a few minutes(waiting time inspite of appointment is really long) and feel insulted. Such is the sorry state of medical industry that inspite of trusting the doctors and paying them for their services, they talk to us as if they are doing us a favor by seeing us. A few minutes with Dr.Oak will give you a feeling of being under extreme pressure where you are not supposed to speak unless asked nor share your ordeal, which we as patients try to put across to help doctors ascertain our illness better. Forget comforting, Dr.Oak choses NOT to listen to you at all, will ask you to remain quiet and will carry on prescribing medicines as per her experience. Dr.Oak is one Know-it-all doctor who seems to know everything without even listening to her patients but compels me to wonder why I didnt see any improvements inspite of visiting her regularly for a few months.P.S. Dr.Oak: Whilst you are eating at a restaurant with huge amount of guests waiting outside to eat too, you still take your own sweet time until your purpose of visit is over and neither do the hotel staff bother you as you pay them for their services. Thatss exactly what your patients expect from you when they visit you from far off distances inspite of being in excrutiating pain trying to get some value for their hard earned money if not a definite cure. Please try to be a good listener over being a sharp speaker that you are which is really hurtful at times. Your patients are your bread and butter. Hence learn to comfort your patients, listen to them and give them a little more time, afterall thats what they come to you for.

★Im living a second life in one lifespan ★At the age of 18 I was diagnosed as a rare case patient with multiple complications that had no source or reason whatsoever to crop up in me for the fact that I was decently placed on the fitness meter being a sportsman.Spondyloarythropathy, arthritis, (suspected TB) and other complications with all those weird names, (yes) :P all of them caught on to me within a span of 2-3 weeks.Id lost around 25kgs of weight in 6days and all my joints were frozen with chronic pain.I couldnt bear even a feather touch anywhere on my body.Except, my right hand which had somehow survived through this series of endless-pain-episodesNow, from being a sportsman on the field I was sent directly to the wheelchair and didnt have any reasonable explanation for this.If theres something that went correct along this path then it surely had to be the encounter with these wonderful women-Dr.Jyotsna Oak (Rheumatologist practicing at KDAh) and my physiotherapist Dr. Niketa Mehta (MPT, currently at Massachusetts Government hospital, Boston USA).Probably two of the most intelligent minds of their respective fields.Coming to the scene again:-It wasnt all that easy for me. I was told by a lot of other people that it was the end of the road for me and that I should be mentally ready to live that way forever. But its a choice you make.(I do not wish to share the intricacies of the pain i went through as this message is intended to motivate and not scare you)So, rigorous physiotherapy sessions & proper medications slowly started turning things for me towards the better. Also, medicines wont work magically unless you are willing to push yourself. I learned that late. So dont do that with yourself. The pain may seem unending but trust me itll be over soon. Just hang in there :)Long story short, the doctors know what has to be done, so dont doubt them and try to tarnish your own belief. Also if youre reading this (it means youve not been able to find the trust yet :D and this article is for convincing you & many others like you that you need to believe in something/someone for it to work for you) then Ive to tell you that not even once has my problem ever resurfaced. Im out of medications for the past 4 years. Moreover, Ive resumed sports, gymming and everything else or even more than what an ordinary 23yr old man does :D•If you want to be alright you need to work on your mind first & the rest will follow•Cheers & God bless,Akshay Vishwanath.#Arthritis #BeBrave #GoWinIt #rheumatology#JyotsnaOak #NiketaMehta
