Its been years since Ive visited a toy shop. Ive been an adult for a bit, and my little brother stopped being little, too, a while back. This isnt a review, thus, about how many toys Hamleys has, or which toys are the coolest today. Its more a little note on why, you, even if you dont have kids should stop over at this shop!In many ways Id forgotten what toys are in trend, and what a bright happy (and somewhat creepy) place a toy shop can be.Nilam, (skate shoes, swishy bob, cheerful voice and excited eyes) reminded me.My partner and I were looking for toys for a friends nephews. Buying something suitable for a 5-yr-old and a 2-yr-old is tough! Should we get dolls? If dolls: the big ones with scary plastic eyes or the plastic woman, Barbie? If buying something useful should we get a lego set? Or a musical mat which can be used to make songs? Do kids like something useful? Is this toy imposing gender stereotypes? Is this toy going to give this little one body issues? Yeah, clearly. I think a lot! :POur decision was simplified by the very helpful Nilam who took us through various options, patiently answering our questions and laughing alongside us. Someone whos worked here for three years, she wasnt just a salesperson, but also excellent company—her enthusiasm for toys visible as she spoke to us. Efficient, calm, and an excellent storyteller she was a delight to shop alongside!In the end, after MUCH debate (my partner is a lawyer, so you can imagine), we settled on a Frozen scooty, an alligator and a hedgehog puppet. What we also got for free was some fun stories about kids and parents from Nilam and a surprisingly memorable experience at this toy shop, Hamleys.My favourite thing about kids is how lightly they take themselves. Something about Nilam and Hamleys helped us, too, to take ourselves a little less seriously, and connect with our inner kid in a much needed mall-break. :)

Great place for kids. They have all the best toys for both girls and boys. Go to their 1st floor and check out the collection. They have good quality products. The staff is very cooperative and friendly. Take your kids here and you can spend couple of hours easily. Kids get pretty involved. Its a great place if your kids get cranky while you shop in the mall.

One of the best Hamleys Ive been to. Wide range. Something for every child (infant to toddlers to kids, perhaps even adults).

There is no option for zero stars, so I gave 1 star. I am a regular customer of hamleys. My child is 2 and half years old and since he is born, we always visit hamleys for toys. Sometime we buy things, sometimes we dont, but my child likes going there. This time when we went there, we were rudely told that the balls that were kept in display, that were clearly dirty and used, were not to be touched and played with, so basically display pieces are not for trial. This is not the case in US though, we were allowed to play there, with anything and everything.Idk what to say. My child and I felt bad and off course we left, I dont think well visit again, let alone buy anything.

I purchased a Dino Bubble toy from Hamleys website. I emailed them 4 hours after receiving delivery that the toy isnt working. They assured that they would take it back, I also raised a return request on the website. Over email I was told I could get it exchanged at their Kurla store but their Kurla store has been and is shut due to the covid situation, and isnt going to open for a while. (Their staff didnt even confirm if the store was open before telling me to have it exchanged there).Anyways once I informed them over email, they said they have arranged pick-up and it would be picked up within 48 hours, didnt happen. I emailed them again asking for an update, they apologized and said it would be picked up within 48 hours. Again didnt happen, this exact cycle has been going on for the past 12 days, (No jokes, 6 times I have been told it would be picked up in 48 hours and nothing happens, they apologize each time and say the exact same thing!. Its ridiculous.)Be very careful when buying from Hamleys, returns are a nightmare and their customer support is sub-standard.

Nothing can beat the joy my child has when she is at Hamleys. The store is super fun and so is the staff. They dont push you into buying nor do they hover around you. Yes, things could have been priced better especially when all that they have is available online at a discounted price. But the store is intself a fantastic place. Still a long way to go till they match up to the experience you have when at the Hamleys store at the Oxford Street in London though

It seems like a place where people hangout more then a proper store. A lot of the soft toys seem to feel over handled. The staff seems to be indifferent. On the up side its a fairly large(relatively) inventory.

Three pieces of new toys picked right off the shelf were all defective. So be careful when buying anything from here. Please get the toy fully checked and operated before payin. Also I found that most toys are over priced and importer from china. Hence you can find the same thing online and half the price. Even the staff lacked training. For example, when they issued the replacement toy , they forgot to take the magnetic token off, so again I had to stop at the gate because of the beeping sound. Best avoid
