Awesome interior view..well arranged and colourfull store it is. Good place for Khadi and Handcrafted products.. One may feel it lil high priced but Ive tried some khadi products from here and was good. You can also check for offers, because they ll be having offers on many products during special days/seasons. Also, this store has got very supportive and professional staff they will be explaining you anything if u ask, like material, ingredients and material type etc..Well, The Bombay Store is a must visit place if youre visiting the city.
Beautiful world of home decor👌👌The Bombay Store is more than a hundred years old, established in 1906, it caters to your home decor, health and wellness needs, all under one roof. The collection is mostly India-inspired-furniture, decor pieces, temple accessories, aromatic wellness stuff or random items to accentuate your living room, their brassware, one of the most extensive collections. They are available for online delivery on Scootsy and Amazon.
The flagship store was the perfect place to go for souvenirs and small gifts. Wasn’t planning to buy anything but ended up with a bag load of goodies. Could have been far more if I was prepared which I will be next time. Enjoyed the fresh tea samples brewed especially for us and prices were very reasonable
Indian Heritage Brand since 1906. Indian handicraft product which are 100% swadeshi. This place will make your wallet empty with your house full of Home decore, antique look furniture, Brass Idols are the best catch and exiting variety and range in pashmina, they staff are very polite and customer friendly. Gift wrapping and valet parking is free. Heaven for NRI and foreign travellers. Souvinier range in magnet is excellent.
A worthwhile place to visit, from time to time, simply to know your beloved city better:) ofcourse besides being quite the place for unique gifts, artefacts. One loves the silence, like a library, as one browses through rows n racks full of culture, art forms and lil things that one can easily see fitting into ones life, and homes. Taking your child along makes it even more rewarding for they look at things with uncommon freshness. Amongst the many things my lil one brought to my wide eyed enchantment this time was that the founder of The Bombay Store is none other than the great grand man of Bombay- LokmanyaTilak himself!Makes one marvel at the store that much more:) as also remind oneself to pay more attention to what kids say!
With All safety and maintaining distance it was good.
Bombay store… the place to go for authentic genuine Indian art💐
When you need quality gifts from not-so-incredible India.
Dishonest Staff !! I bought an ethnic clock from their store yesterday (15 Feb 2019), and was told they would get me a new one and not the one on display. It was gift wrapped and upon reaching back home, I was surprised to see that the clock is the same display piece evident from the scratches near the hanging pin. Pics below. Very disappointed, as it was supposed to be a gift.
Collection of home decor and gift items is quite good... However the pricing is on the higher side...
Phenomenal Artistic variety, as usual a great place to shop, enthusiastic sales team
Love all their stuff - for gifting and for myself! Lovely gifts at a great price point.
A beautiful place to get exclusive stuff. If you are looking for gifts you will be spoilt for choice and will surely land up buying stuff for yourself too.
Good Ambience, Good People, A great thanks to Lokmanya Tilak for starring such awesome store....
One of prominencesince many.years.asfar back ascollege days(1951) onSir P.M. road..it was larger in those years.
Nothing new left in this place. Its more of the same stuff...
Beautiful collection
Very good shop to purchase souvenirs.
Good local
Nice place decent range of products but some stuff is over priced
Nice experience
I just love to visit Bombay Store...but only when I have ample of time in hand...Take a leisurely round around all the handicrafts ...and you enter in a different world...u cannot resist yourself buying so many things which you would never bought otherwise...
Ther Bombay Store provides an excellent opportunity to select from a variety of options in handicrafts and other indigenous items. Prices are on a higher side. Though it does provide a brilliant option to select elegant gift from a wide range of products ranging from handicrafts to stonework to other elegant pieces. Gifts offered are of high values and highly appreciated by the recipients. The staff of the Bombay Store is also very helpful and guides in selecting the right gift.
Very nice place for shopping of traditional Indian artefacts. Very famous landmark and favourite place for tourists to shop for memorabilia. More than 100 Years old Shop. Its kind of Heritage. The store is very well maintained, staff is good and security also very helpful and well mannered. Parking space is also available at the store.
You are looking for gifts you will be spoilt for choice and will surely land up buying stuff for yourself too.
Excellent store for buying gifts, specially Indian crafts made of brass, wood etc of deities, as well as some contemporary stuff. The place to go when you need gifts for friends abroad. Their packing is excellent too.
No doubt the shop is very good. Bit costly. I bought ear rings. The stone in it fell. I 2as told while buying that they will replace it if something goes wrong. But when I went there they did not do it. I am an old customer of their. Did not bother at all. I am unset. I may stop going to such a place.
Great selection of items are very fair prices. Truthful staff but not the warmest service. Prices are better than or same as other tourist traps your tourguide takes you but firm prices here, no bargaining. If you buy a lot maybe go somewhere else but if one or two pieces this place is great.
Xcellent ambience
Good store to visit for all the handicrafts and artefacts of India. Well laid out air conditioned store, Wide selection with small to large items, helpful staff and regularly visited by tourist. Valet parking available and all credit cards are accepted. Highly recommend but rates are slightly on the higher side. Good place for souvenir shopping.
Bombay Store has a HUGE VARIETY of Top quality Indian goods. Well laid out. & clerks are extremely helpful. I bought (6) of an item clearing their display shelf. Then they took ⏳time to carefully box with bubble wrap to ✈️ Well worth shopping here.
Really cool
Traditional Indian arts and crafts. Amazing collection of skin-care products and teas. Best for giftsets!
Excellent shop near fort area for handicraft items. Awesome place, good ambience, nice collection and wide range of gifting option. Items containing brass ,wooden, fibre. Staffs are also very professional and provide good services.price is little on higher side but money has worth. Quality of items is above par.
This is a chain of shops selling souvenirs to anyone willing to pay.The staff are well trained and the items are fairly good quality. That treat you well and offer a good service. Which justifies paying a little more. Everything is in one place
It is very exclusive stores which gives inumerable gift choices as well as collectibles.no pressure or salesmanship though staff is polite and knowledgeable
Perfect for decorating your home and should prefer this place if you want finished goods. Sculptures made out of sandalwood are available. Wallets, laptop cases, leather bags, and cool printed t shirts at available here. 1st floor has linens, curtains and home decor related products.
All time favorite place to shop, though teeming with NRI and tourists and they cater to their needs mainly, this place still has a few unique items and always a pleasure to visit
Very good place to shop and gift our loved ones.Very amicable staff; ever willing to help. The standard of the shop is maintained from day13 Cheers to Bombay Stores!
Ideal store to touch and feel wide variety of traditional Indian handicraft before you buy them
They have we amazing arts and crafts, from almost entire India and prices are on a little higher side but you may get everything under one roof.
The shop for antiques show pieces, statues and variety of items etc
Nice
Whilst I shop at Bombay stores regularly when I visit, this time will probably be the last unless they radically change something. Whilst undoubtedly the selection of fare on offer is wide and interesting, that one thing they need to change and which puts off many shoppers is their staffs continual stalking of their customers by following them around the shop. I felt like I was intense surveillance and I actually had to turn to one of them and tell them to stop it. It embarrassed the assistant completely but put me off buying anything and I promptly walked out.
Amazing selection of items.
Lots of great finds here. Good quality but slightly pricey
One of the best Seafood Restaurants ever in Mumbai. Their traditional and historical upkeep is amazing. Food is so fresh that theres no smell of Fish or other meats as usual to this type of Restaurants. Highly recommended!
Nice things to buy....with Indian touch....souvenirs and kurtis ...go there for a chakkar....each time something different to pick up
It was great before 4years. Now I believe that management has changed, l feel little costlier than before and more of show pieceses and less of household items. But products are of very good quality and desine.
Nice place from where you can buy lots of ethnic stuff. Good display and good prices.
I visited this store to buy gifts for non-Indian friends. I was absolutely amazed with their variety! They have high quality products and an extensive range. Its easy to find something for most budgets, but definitely not cheap. Very pleasant staff too. Im only shaving off 1 star because they are priced very high. A few of their products are common and available on Colaba Causeway too at much lower prices.
They have almost everything about the interiors. From wall hangings to small decorative items all are there with a unique antique style.Location of the shop is easy to find. The staff is very cordial.
Stuff here are antiques. Like the way things are displayed inside. Feel doesnt like buying all at one go. Nice collection
Been going there for years every time I visit India. needs to have some modernization and fresh new stock items. Was quite disappointed with the staff- followed me all through the store today; if he was there to help me- failed miserably- could not answer a simple question. Felt like I was being watched every step, so I did complain. Probably will not go there again. If they cannot trust their customers, I don’t need to go there. I also think they need some new management and an uplift.
Nicely priced. However, all brass and bronze items are from Delhi area, whose craftsmen are not as good as from South India....the facial features of gods and goddesses are ugly at worst and passable at best. Not for true lovers of quality brass and bronze statues or statuettes. Besides you have to buy and carry.. No shipment service which is kind of awkward when they are selling some pieces that weigh 200 kilos and 60 CFT...I mean..how exactly they expect their customers to take them home...?
Nice traditional store for authentic Indian Traditional items. A bit on expensive side
You should visit there if you are a tourist or looking for some souvenirs! Thats amazing place. So many great things to buy and not expensive!
Great place for Swadeshy shopping. Antiques are at high end prices but their clothes collect is at a very affordable price & as per latest trends. Good place, must visit.
AtIve been coming here, on and off, for about 35 years. It is still an excellent place to shop for high quality stuff at non-extortionate prices. Over the 35 years, the payment process continues to be painfully slow...allow plenty of time for it!
Bombay store has got some very interesting out of the box items & the usual decorative pieces. However the pricing is high end. So if you dont want to hunt the market for the same stuff you can enjoy some shopping at Bombay stores.
Excellent place to get variety of gift items or show pieces to decorate your house/ office. But some what expensive. A treat to your eyes.
It was an amazing experience. I really appreciate the handcrafts. I strongly recommend you all to visit this place.
If you want a place to shop for quality fixed price souvenirs, then this is the place. That said Im sure you could find the same stuff for cheaper elsewhere. But it does provide a nice, relaxed, no sales pressure, atmosphere to shop in.
Great selection of things to bring home for friends and family. Very helpful employees
Very beautiful gifts store
Good gifting ideasSpecially for people from abroadIt gives you ajhalak of india
A must visit for its colourful, Indian and festive feel. Browse stationery, jewellery, gifting options with an Indian touch, home decor items and some quirky, trendy designs. Its a stop for most tourists and visitors toMumbai city.
A true Swadeshi store. A salute to its founders Shri Lokmanya Tilak and Shri Ratanji Jamsetji Tata
Good Place for Antique articles
Nice collection of Indian handicraft items. The staff is very helpful. This place is on our go to list on every visit to India.
I had heard of this place through a friend.when I stepped inside this store I was like woowww what a place,it had so many gifting options that it becomes difficult to choose one.The staff is so helpful. This place is usually busy in the noon time.I left this place with a very beautiful Ganpati idol
Excellent place to go shopping for exclusive products. Beautiful ambience. Warm personnel to care of you.
Excellent place to shop for souvenirs, and home goods for everyone in your list.
Great place for home improvement and gifts. Staff very helpful. Valet parking available. Real classy place.
Its Old MemoryBut may be They are trying to maintain.Prices are too High.
Best collection ever
Nice place to buy souvenirs and handicrafts from a shop that was originally started during the Swadeshi Movement by Bal Gangadhar Tilak the freedom fighter. Nice range of teas from different tea gardens as well as a separate Chado tea counter. Most items are expensive but their quality is great too.
I was looking for a nice symbolic Indian paint, even if I have bought it on thé street close to the museum of art, this shop with fixed price was very nice
Great range of home furnishing, statues and gift articles. Right price.
Good place... Perfect place for all the visitors to get gifts for their friends and family!!!
It is a great place to buy gifts. A bit on the costlier side though
Best place to get variety of gifts . . . Also open on Sunday
I loved this place. It has huge and awesome variety of Indian art items.
Incredible variety of traditional indian-inspried home items. Perfect for gifts.
