Surprised they have no review. I had been to the Thane store though. Its a must visit. Far better than Bombay Dyeing store. Much more sophiscated designs. Bombay Store designs look too lower middle class these days. They lack variety basically unlike before.I was at the Thane Viviana Mall Bombay store shop and Shahenaz is located opposite to it. Parents and I were having a tough time making choices at Bombay Dyeing due to many designs but nothing of class. I then noticed this place and insisted parents lets check it out and we were so happy to find this place.Very good quality stuff and designs. Might be limited compared to Bombay Dyeing but their designs are no doubt good ones. We ended up buying about 9k worth whereas our plan was to buy like 2 bed sheets and a blanket or two. Glad to have found this Shahenaz Home store.

Recently I visited the Gateway Of India with my family. It was evening time, past 7 pm. We were waiting outside the New York Restaurant (which is right next to Shahenaz) after having some snacks there, trying to get a Uber ride back to Pune. While I was busy trying to arrange a ride (Uber was not very cooperative and 5 or 6 drivers refused to host us), my kids (8 year son and 2 year toddle girl) were playing behind the pillars of the building where these shops are situated. It was relatively calm street with Gateway visitors leaving in their taxis.I was talking to an Uber driver on phone trying to convince him to drive us to Pune, when suddenly I heard someone screaming loudly. I jumped around to see what happened thinking if it was some emergency. I noticed that a lady from the Shahenaz shop, with one hand on the glass door was shouting at the top of her voice in Hindi and English at my kids, something like tum logon ko kiten baar boloon, andar mat dekho... we can see it on the CCTV... samajh mein nahi aata tum logon ko, kitne baar bataana padega?. For several moments I could not understand what was going on, why my toddler baby girl and son were being scolded so severely by a complete stranger, what crime did they do... The lady then directed her fury towards me, kitne bar bol chuki hoon... (I saw her first time in my life, right then)...She was bursting with so much rage that for a moment I thought a witch has gone mad and she would devour my kids in no time if I did not do something quick!Clueless about what to do (my girl had started crying at the top of her voice by now and the boy was all in tears), I said Sorry madam, I did not know that you asked the kids not to do that.... It seemed that the kids had peeped into the glass display box of Shahenaaz shop a few times and the lady was not happy about that. After I said sorry, she disappeared into the shop, without waiting for me to finish.They have displayed some nice linen in the glass box on the wall, it is quite strong, the kids could in no way damage anything inside it...I took my girl in lap (she cried for at least 15 minutes afterwards) and the teary son by the hand and left the place, to stands under a tree nearby and then took the first available taxi to Dadar.Wonder how can someone be so harsh with kids (a 2 year toddler girl!!!) and speak to them like that? Is it her shop full with goods, but no buyers for the whole day/week/month, or is it something else?
