Very pathetic food at Chatrapati Shivaji outlet.. Simply cheating the public in the name of South Indian food... Sambhar & Chutney served are completely joke... They are serving tamrid liquid in the name of SambharFront executives is not interested to address customers complaints.... They are taking hefty amout for food items but not even giving the street side qualityNever waste your money at Vaango
Staff at the counter is very rude. Moreover I bought a cup of tea for Rs 126/- and I tasted the worst tea ever, like the one IRCTC serves in trains but atleast it doesnt pinch ones pocket. It is a Royal loot!!!
Located at the Food court inside T2, after security check area and immigration. Food is good but cools quickly due to cold interior condition. Sufficient area is available to sit and eat. There remains a line and service is bit slow. If you enough time before departure, Yes you an try it. Coffee is good but not Tea. They have combo food, try it.
Very poor service ..all meals are served very cold..no any good communication by chef or service person.....basically not worthful ...not suggested to any one...orderd hot cofee and served normal coffee...
Pathetic food and service at the Chatrapati Shivaji Airport outlet.Just shows the mentality towards captive customers. Poor food and service.Should be avoided
Good place value for money nice interior conditioner huge area to sitting nd for a tasty and quick south indian bite choose Vaango. The staff is very frank. Idli-wada combo was good and must try royal meal π
Terrible isnt the word . Huge disappointment when I ordered Masala Dosa Combo - one Masala Dosa + one Idli + one vada + one coffee . For a whopping Rs. 369 plus taxes . The Dosa was wafer thin , masala was mediocre . Idli was ok but vada was definitely made from the dough used for Dosa/Idli and tasted like mud . Sambar was watery and tasteless . Coffee wasnt good either . Are these people taking passengers for a ride ? People from South will definitely know how poor the taste and quality is . Suggest dont venture .
Dear reader, allow me to save you from suicide.Itne say sambhar mein idli khaoun? Mazak hai? Buttermilk is such flat, tasteless and non-buttery. Did you sold off its butter separately? Therapist assured I have recovered but, after having buttermilk I feel suicidal again. I Wont recommend to someone who is foodie or takes breath.
At one point of time till Jan 2020 it used to be a trust able place at the airport to get fresh and tasty food. But today when I was traveling almost after a year and wanted to have South Indian food after doing security check, Vaango completely disappointed. Food was served cold. Sambar missed its previous taste. Filter coffee was a blunder. If Vaango staff is reading this, please improve guys.
So this is the coffee and Tea Bar where u get a single cup of tea for the cost of 140 Rupees... where is india heading I really donβt know, this is the place Mumbai where you get the same quantity and better quality of tea on streets at the cost of 12 rupees and here in International Airport you are getting it for 140... cheers to the nation
Good place to enjoy piping hot South Indian cuisine particularly breakfast items- idli, dosa, uttapam, wada as well as meal time favorites like bissi bele bhaat, tomato rice & more. Located just before food court and after duty free, Vaango is has been for many years. I usually stop here before boarding international flights & have never been disappointed. Prices are steep just like other outlets in the airport. Service can be a little better.
Their signature 2 inch wada was definitely a fitting feast for the birds at the airport. There was a collosal difference between the masala dosa combo showcased and what we got served. I would avoid coming here if i were you. The 335 bucks that we spent here would definitely have been better suited as a donation to god alone knows who runs this place @vaangoindiaStep it up or ship out.
The server took his time to explain all the dishes to me, for Im not too familiar with the manu. The portions were pretty small, the trey reminded me of when I was in elementary school! But other than that, quite flavorful ofcourse. Its spicy Try at your own risk, spicy food! I tried the veggie, masala, dose. I cant li,e it was pretty good.
Poor Quality Specially during Mornings....Front office sales staff too casual while taking orders.
Chutia place. Chutney is 3 days old idli is as cold as icecream. If you never ate a proper southie breakfast in your life, you can call it food and drool over their restaurant table, IDGAF.
I ordered a breakfast combo for which I paid Rs. 419. The masala dosa was pathetic. 1 small idli which didnt have any taste. 1 small vada, which tasted okay. Chutney was sour and sambar was cold! Probably the worst place to eat in Mumbai Airport. The food was not worth paying 5 rupees even.
AS PER THE TASTE I FEEL THAT THE FOOD SERVING EARLY MORNING IS NOT FRESH.THE QUALITY IS ALSO VERY WORST.
For vegetarians, this place is Ok. I bought a Masala dosa, it tasted great. The only thing that I didnt like was the sambhar quality as it was missing vegetables. After I finished eating the dosa, I talked to the restaurant manager. He listened to me, replaced the sambhar right away for upcoming customers, and compensated me with free sweet lassi. I reviewed considering the professional behavior received from the Manager.
Here multiple times reheated food is served... No fresh food aroma in meals...cashing their name...staff wearing No mask, no gloves, no hand sanitiser at counter... I can see their cook with lowered green mask...... Dripping sambhar and chutney from trays.....
Moderate taste...good combo menu... Fliter coffee was excellent
Pathetic service . Untrained and Unprofessional Staff . Food is good .
Had started early from home without breakfast. The flight was at 9:50 so not much expectation of a good breakfast. I therefore approached Vaango with a lot of expectation. Disappointment 1...long queue. Disappointment 2...rather unfriendly person at the counter. Disappointment 3...absolutely unconcerned attendant who had to fulfil orders. Disappointment 4...a cook who took his own sweet time. Disappointment 5...people who came after me were served before me. Disappointment 6...the idly was cold, the vada appeared to be yesterdayβs vada refried, the coconut chutney was super-salty and the sambhar was insipid. Overall terrible experience!
If you are about to board a late night international flight and dont like what they call AVM on board (supposing u r a veggie). Also u dont want to stuff urself, but like to have something light, tasty, authentic South Indian snack. This is THE place. @ food court CSIA , Mumbai. You can also call it a heaven for South Indian snack lover vegetarians like me. Its always good to eat authentic Indian than burgers and pizzas. And they serve it fresh and hot. I loved this place. Lives up to its name vaango (Welcome in tamil). The best.ππΌππΌ
Food is a bit costly there. Taste Okayish...
Highly disappointed at the quality and service... Lowest rating should be -1 for thisAt mumbai airport branch
Amazing place to eat , value for money
Good South Indian eatery at Mumbai airportLovely delicious food
An excellent five star restaurant at an international airport and that too in a country like India. I loved the food over here and also the service of the restaurant staff. I am giving it 5 out of 5 stars. Delicious south Indian and Indian fast food. I like it.
Authentic South Indian food. Service standards are also pretty good compared to old South Indian restaurant in Mumbai. Would definitely recommend one visit to this chain
This morning our son was flying to Bangalore from T2 terminal and had gone to Vaango for a quick bite. He accidentally left his i-pod charger there. I sent out an email to the restaurant via its website and in an hour I got a Whats app message from the manage Vinod, who informed me he had found the charger. He was so polite & helpful, and courteous. Hospitality is not just about the food and catering, but also the humane service,Thank you so much to entire company running this food chain, and thank you Vinod for being so helpful...
Overpriced and the food portions for the cost are a joke. Pretty terrible coffee as well for a south Indian joint. The zambar place is a much better option
Okay service. Slow service. You are expected to be quick when you are serving inside the airport.. We almost missed our flight.
The Vaango outlet at the Food Court of Domestic Departure section of Terminal 2 is absolutely pathetic. In fact, it does not even deserve 1 star.Despite the exorbitant prices, the taste of all items is much below average. Even the portions of accompanying sambar & chutney are about a spoonful. Then it takes easily 15 to 20 minutes to deliver the ordered food and
Vaango is located at the Mumbai International Airport. Since we were to board a flight soon we decided to have a quick dinner at Vaango, which seemed to be the best bet for a quick and economical dinner, since we were sure we would get another dinner on the flight.I ordered a Lemon Rice and my wife had a Curd Rice. Service was not as quick as expected, but it was sufficient to keep our hunger pangs at bay, and it tasted good. Price was OK.
For South Indian inside the airport this is supposed to be a good place. The food is expensive and the filter coffee was tasteless. It was not filter coffee at all. The idli was hard.
Food is ok. Nothing great. Prices are high. But since itβs at the airport, I wonβt say much for the prices. The guy at the counter is not at all trained. I was waiting in the queue and someone came in from the side and barged in the queue. The guy at the counter took his order while I was still in the queue for my turn. After that he started counting the money in the register and I still had to wait more 5 min to give my order.Pathetic and unprofessional service.
Pathetic and spoilt food served. Never visit this store.
The only one around that sell south indian food and hence it survive. Typically food taste is good. But mostly coconut chutney is stale.
Decent south india cuisine. Fast food, tasty. Good for a quick bite at the airport.
Terrible place! The chutney they supplied was at least a couple of days old and stale. You cant even compare this joint to any ordinary Udupi restaurant which serves far better South Indian food. They dont deserve even one star!
Love the food and the coffee there. I visit this cafe each time Im flying at the T2 airport in the morning. The men at the counter, however, didnt seem professional, they were fooling around too much among themselves.
I ordered Masala dosa combo and the taste was ok. But Dosa was cold and I dont know when they prepared that. Chutney and samber didnt taste good. Tomato chutney was good. Food is overpriced for what they are providing.
Very bad experience. Only one person handled the billing counter and the same person ran for serving the order, the queue kept on increasing. And what happened after that long wait? We were served with food with sub-par taste and quality.
They were having lunch at the time of our lunch thats ok i understand but when i asked that how much time its gonna take he said a lot.. and didnt take the order. Very stupid
Good options but could be little cheaper...
Food is tasty. Super slow service. At times coffee is not available as they run out of milk. Price is steep in line with other joints within the terminal.
The Vaango at the Mumbai Airport was an unpleasant experience. Their POS system does not have the capability of adding new items to the other. So the person behind the counter got cheesed off because we added more items to our order. He was rude and discourteous and crude. He dared us to report him or give feedback. An extremely unpleasant experience. And this brings disrepute to the name Vaango which is south indian for Come/welcome!
Tasty food but price High because its airport naπ€.. and i like the name *Vaango*ππ
Very nice South Indian Restaurant in the DEPARTURE area of MUMBAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT,TERMINAL - 2.But remember one thing.. Its 100 % PURE VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT.
Vaango. A decent place inside the departure terminal of Mumbai International Airport. Reasonably decent service. Quality and portiins are ok. Certainly not commensurate with the price. But thus is the airport and you have to pay for everything. Worth a visit.
The best option for fresh south Indian food within T3...
Good Authentic taste... Like it every time i visit.
Very lethargic at serving the food.....very unorganized team. Even ready food like simple Upma takes 25 to 30 mins in non-peak hours. Cant imagine the situation during peak hours.Eat here only if by compulsion and have good amount of time in hand to catch a flight or only when flight is delayed.
Gave me masala dosa with spoilers masala. Never going again there. Hope you all also avoid getting food poisoning.
Worst. Nothing is fresh. Wada was refried in stale oil. Sambar was too much sour. Not good to consume before journey.Overall worst experience. Waste of money
Good food and people, but not maintained as in AC not working.
Good quality south indian food.Prices are in higher side like everywhere else in airport.
I am not sure if this was expensive because it was inside the airport. Also dont order for buttermilk, it had some metallic taste to it. Also we asked both the masala to be kept outside the dosa but it didnt came that way. Also the poor guy was taking orders, serving food, coffee and other stuff alone. It was atleast 2 peoples work in the counter.
Nice hotel in Mumbai and we get good south Indian food..
Itβs a welcome spot for a South Indian whoβs missing home food, given that this was the only outlet I could find that was serving a southern cuisine in the airport. However it does have its limits. The presentation is nice, the place seems hygienic, prices are fair and thereβs enough seating. But the taste could be better. The dosa turned into a paapad pretty quickly, and the biryani had a LOT of oil.
Filter coffee was good, Masala dosa average, but Sambhar was pathetic. Rates are always on higher side because of airport store.
Nice restaurant at airport....clean and quick service...nice staff...tasty food menu..when you have morning flights ..its a good option for breakfast...south indian food speciality......many options there ...its located after security checking at food court at Airport.........a nice option for snacks at airport βΊοΈ
Love their breakfast. The only place to go to at the airport for hot.. healthy.. breakfast and snacks.
Quick service, decent pricing, quality food and overall tasteful.
Very Pathetic food quality. This kind of food we are getting on international airport..very Shameful π π
Good food. I loved their combo menu.
Good South Indian cuisine dishes to taste before flying out of India
High price but quality good
Vaango at Mumbai international airport is okay as far as quality of food and value for money is concerned. The food is served in red colour plastic plates that doesnt feel very hygienic.
Acceptable service. However the quality of food in different Vango is very different. I tried Rava Kesri and it was no way same as what we get in other places
The taste of the Idli-Vada-Sambhar I took was just not up to it vis-a-vis the price. The Sambhar was very spicy and stale and so were the Vadas. Idlis were also without any taste. Will avoid going to Vaango next time.
South Indian dishes served like idli, vada, dosa mainly.Quality of the food is so so, quantity of food served and side dishes like sambar, chutney very less and hardly sufficient, not sure whether they provide a second serving.Overall doesnt leave any worthy memory, except ofcourse the price, needless to say, feeling way overpriced.
Good place grab a quick bite. Clean, authentic and good service
If you want to taste authentic South Indian food then go to Vaango.A vegetarian restaurant Vaango is centrally placed post security in the international T2 terminal of Mumbai airport.Do try the filter coffee here.
Provided spoiled upma and yomoto rice today on 10th july 2019...
Good one at T2 for all South Indian food lovers!
Costly without quality and quantity. The staff is rude and dont even answer if you ask them anything. There is no specific area designed for delivery on counter. Coffee is pathetic and if ask to change strongness a bit they just ignore the request.
Excellent filter coffee. Genuine south Indian filter coffee taste
Delivery of food is ok..But the taste for frequent flyers they miss the home town taste...But here the taste is normal...Dont go with more expectations of home town taste...
Good food but need to better hygiene standards. Loved filter coffee.
Taste was good but prices were slightly high
Delicious South Indian food at the airport. But they are made from Maharashtrian style and do not have any similarity to the actual South India food.
Loves south indian food in vango before flying away from india
