Kheema pav is good briyani also good.Bheja is very expensive
Real taste of IRANI tea n Bun maska. Also not to forget the omelet.
One of the remaining Iranian Cafe. Good for Tea n Mava Cake with friends.
Lazy service and food quality also not good as we expect from a irani cafe and then expensive too
BUN PAV MASKA AND IRANI CHAI, THATS THE IDEA OF HEAVEN IN MUMBAIS MONSOON MORNINGS
Too much costly. food taste is salt less.

I ordered one burun maska with tea. It tasted so great, I ordered a repeat! Not overcrowded. I saw female groups also enjoying some other foods. Normally you dont see females in an Iranian hotel.Good place to go
Loved the food here. It has this unique taste that will make you long their meal every now and then.
Mumbai hasย of late, witnessed the unfortunate closure of several historical establishments, which have been around for at least 50 years or more. Some of the iconic places to have shut down include Rhythm House,ย Cafรฉ Samovar, and a slew of what were once quintessential breakfast-n-brunch joints, the Irani and Persian Cafes: Bastani & Co., Cafรฉ Naaz, etc. Thankfully, Cafe Colony at Dadar, among the last of the bastions, is still very much in business. This quaint cafe with its old world charm mostly sticks to original Persian recipes, along with the ever popular Brun & Bun Maska, Tea, flavoured sodas found only in Irani cafes, and several finger-licking omelette variants. Someย of their most loved dishes include Mutton Kheema, Special Paya, Chicken Curry and Chicken and Mutton Biryani. the legendary chicken biryani found its way into folklore, when it was cooked in bulk for the wedding of Dr Ambedkarโs grandson. Most food preparations are done in an open kitchen. Cafรฉ Colony has been around for a long time, 85 years to be precise. Theย typical wooden chairs, the glass-topped wooden tables, and the simple yet elegant checked floor tiles, all bear testimony to this rich slice of history. In fact, Cafรฉ Colony has been around for almost as much time as is the Tilak Bridge, on whose East end it is located. So all you history and heritage buffs, go ahead and partake of this unmatched experience!!!!
Aga Irani the owner ushered me in with utmost love and respect and brought me the kheema pulav himself. The kheema was spicy and tasty. The tea and bun maska was good. Very reasonable and worth thousand times of the expensive joints around He also let me stay for a long time in cafe after he found out I was waiting for a bus which was long time away ! Unheard of in a busy Irani Cafe . Charming place, love the no frills authentic Irani vibe. Definitely coming back whenever possible
First thing first, the taste of dishes are awesome. Though there are many Irani restaurant in town but I insisted to visit this. In first look it was small but to get a place to seat was very easy. I enjoyed mutton keema and Pao. My encounter with Keema in an Irani restaurant was awesome. I loved this. The food was tasty. And most importantly this place is inexpensive and I enjoyed my breakfast with team mate just under Rs 300/-. Services were very good and staffs were very helpful. Utensils were clean. If you consider yourself a traveller you must visit this and share the experience. I advice to go once and check.
Awesome place feels like typical old parsi cafe, quick service, owner give me one parle g toffee mentioned that apni biwi ko dena ๐๐
Parsi restaurant , delicious food
One of my old time favorite Irani cafe in Hindu Colony, Dadar! Kheema Paav is delicious! Irani chai and Brun Maska is an all time favorite! In the month of Shravan, I once had plain old Dal Rice here which was also delicious! Downside is the cramped space and the cafe could really use some cleaning up! A facelif wouldnt hurt!
The kheema pav is super awesome, tasty, yummy. The interior of the cafe is quite okay but the food is really good. I have tired almost everything from the cafe, right from khema pav to french toast. Even the tea is superb. Also one of the best part of the cafe is the owner the uncle who is sweet and really great. His passion to serve tasty food to his customer hasnt gone even at the age of 80.
Irani cafe with excellent food, friendly owners and some great products on sale as well. Try their kheema pav, omelette pav, chicken cutlets, ginger lemon drink, ginger cookies, bun maska, mawa cakes and some special Iranian items like baklava and candy floss during Nowrooz (21st March) and plum cakes during Xmas and New Year. They sell Iranian dates and special Gaz too. They also have a book on Irani Cafes in Mumbai for sale on request.
The Shami Kabab was juicy n taste was subtle. The chicken was minced so finely that is embedded deeply into your senses n the mint present in the kebab just rejuvenate your impulses.
Food is good.. authentic parsi place.. nice one.. buat tea quality has degraded.. earlier used to visit this place for chai n bun maska .
Just ok, not authentic taste. cutlets tastes like venkys (ready to cook items) Burn masks is good but again pav is not own make its Britannia bun and maska taste good because its usual Amul Butter. Go here for chai and bun maska. Place is ok ok.
Awesome strategic location. Could be used better as a brand building shop
One of the few remaining Irani Cafes in Mumbai. Little overpriced than others. Even variety of dishes is limited here. Congested place for sure and car parking will be an issue here
3rd class quality of Chai.. and Toooo tooo too Expensive. Coffee is of 60/- per cup.Very bad quality.
Tastes great. A bit messy tho. Decent rates.
Food is awesome...... Just feel a bit insecure looking at its current structural state
Less menu but good Irani food. A bit expensive. Chicken patties is a must try.
Actually good kheema pav.
Good place for brake fast
Great special chai and masala cheese omelette!
Nice for a casual meetings !!!Must try : Bun maska with Jam
The staff are not trained, i had to ask for the menu and and the chatge 25rs for single maska pav, i can buy a laddi of pav in 15/-, serious scam no business in lockdown so stealing
Beautiful place and very good for morning brunch and dinning.
The best place to have coffee is just couple of walk at Dadar East. The best Irani chai, sulemani chai and pani-kam chai. You also can ask for bun maska and/or Brun Maska. Both hav good taste. Top of that khima and eaggery cuisine is the best taste you should try here. I with my friends are regular you can say daily visitor to this place.
Must have spl tea and bun maska
Decent, but the food was quite oily.
Awesome kheema... and even awesome owners
Very good for bunmask paw
Normal irani restaurant
Mawa cake ๐ awesome
Great all day breakfast /meals option that tastes better than it looks. Dont be fooled by the small store look, come in and enjoy the food.
Bun maska is awesome must visit
Best place to relax and have good good specially brun maska and tea, its not Irani tea now as it use to have in olden golden days, and same good hospitality of the owner as 20 years back
Located at the corner of hindu colony lane number 1 .. out of the five Irani resturant in the vicinity now the only surviving one ... Its been there more than 45 yes .. have been going there since childhood ... But since I moved out of hindu colony ...never get to eat here .. the kheema pav the pani kum chai the double omlet ... Its just awesome
Awesome place to visit . must have ice cream soda with thumps uphave kheema or omelette . its wonderful....entire family gets into serving
Been going here since 2004, just amazing.. Must try kheema Pav, kheema sandwich, suleimani chai...
Most delicious kheemapav.... And great hosts
Good
Food was good. Specifically Khima pav is tasteful. I ordered Bhurji pav. Tastes good but I feel some tomato got rotten. And they never add chopped coriander. Seating arrangement is little uncomfortable and narrow.
Good
Escalated prices, as compared to other Iranian restaurants in South Mumbai, they forget that they are not catering to floating customers like kooler or gulshan. But the residents of Hindu colony, their permanent customer, after getting the insignificant midday award, not connected with catering industry they kept jacking up the prices including bread loafs, now most of their customers have migrated to B.C. stores, and other joints, one thing they should learn that nobody is indispensable, one can do without them.
The Bhurji and kheema paav are mouthwatering and delicious ๐And bun maska jam with chai is always at its best at this Irani cafe ๐The uncle running this place was too humble and kindโบ๏ธ
A good sumptuous Irani breakfast is what I love at this joint..
With the cravings of Egg burji n bun maska we went here. They served very fresh pav wid egg omlet n burji. I would recommend dis to catch up for breakfast or short hunger..
Had kheema fry and bun maska....Enjoyed the typical parsi taste...Staff are very friendly and Courteous.....

Cosy comfortable place with authentic Irani food .....family run business where people meet , chat and discuss.

Good food and traditional Paris joint needs more hygiene. Paya soup and kheema are good buys
Best
Almost 85yrs old Irani Cafe. Biryani, paya gravy, dal gosht on special days of the week. Iran sweets & dry fruits also available by order. One can also contact here for English & Persian language private tutions. Ordered kheema pav. Fantastic taste and great hospitality by owner. Will definitely visit again.
One of the few Iranis left in Mumbai. Worth a go if you are around here somewhere. No parking places or spots. Right at the nose of Tilak bridge. It has an open kitchen and they use quite a lot of oil. A bit too much I would say.
Not really up to the mark but as a old school Irani Cafe fan loved it. The signature dishes like bun maska & kheema paav was awesome. All in all of you love the Irani Cafesthen the place to be. Dont go with expectations on ambience.
Have been visiting this place since 1977 whenever I come to Dadar area. Bun maska inlet and Brun maska with chat my favourite.
This is probably one of the last surviving Irani-Cafes in Mumbai. Was at Dadar TT circle and a senior man standing besides me called up his friends. Told them to meet up at Iranis. I simply followed the man and tasted one fine menu after a long time.Keema PavOmelette PavBun Maska JamIrani ChaiBurjee PavFor those who want to smoke post eating, you simply have to look out for Kaka. An old man on the left side of the store will provide you with every cigarette brand that you ask for.Warning - The lady at the counter doesnt know how to smile. But she is one of the most sweetest people I met. Also, she is a language instructor too.How to reach here?Simply ask anyone near DadarTT circle about the Irani Cafe. They will point it out to you. Or sometimes, take you to the cafe themselves.
Good place to chat with your friends over a cup of tea.
Good taste. Tea with ban pav superb
Havent really eaten much here, but one of the few living Irani cafes..... try the bun (loaded) maska & pav with Chai..... DO NOT MISS THE CLEANEST & BEST PAN OF THE TOWN RIGHT OUTSIDE - PANDU KAKAS PAN.
Average breakfast
Best place for parsi food
One of the oldest irani restaurants of mumbai which are part of culture of mumbai. very conveniently located at the end of busiest tilak bridge which connects east and west dadar and at the starting point of calm and quiet locality called hindu colony. the eatery does brisk business due to proximity to dadar station and various educational institutions. irani restaurants are famous for their relaxed atmosphere as well affordable rates. egg dishes and chicken dishes are famous. so is their tea. recently the hotel had become a rage for its chicken biryani. one can spend a lot of time over a cup of tea and nobody would bother you. the eatery also serves as a genral store and bakery for the hindu colony with its shutters up early in the morning. serves as a meeting point for many trekking and cycling groups.
Great taste nothing else. Mutton Kheema is awesome.
Old Parsi Irani Hotel in Dadar- Hindu colony... Must try Kheema Pav..
One of the greatest Irani Cafes I have visited, you should try kheema paav, bun maska and chai double omlet. These are the dishes I order everytime I visit this place. Definitely a must dish.
Its not everyday that one gets to eat in a 85 year old restaurant. Cafe Colony located at Sir Balchandra Marg, Dadar was established in 1933. The present owner Agha Nazariyan is now white-haired And is supported by 3 kids who also do errands in the shop. While other Iranian restaurants of the city have modified their menu over time and brought a fizz around the Iranian brand, Cafe Colony still boasts of the strict Iranian soread of Brun, Bun Maska with butter used only of Amul, keema, akuri, puff and paya. Milk is used only of Parsi Diary which also has a history since 1916.
Good food.. Decent Ambiance... If anyone wish to experience a typical Irani Restaurant in Mumbai then here is the place..Tasty food... The owners and their personal touch with customers is a part of recipe itself..Very Reasonable prices...Try Bun Maska, Brun Muska, Tea, Khima Pav, Egg Briyani.
Matton khimaa yemmii.... Better pow creamy
Food is great with a parsi twist, is fast at serving and must try the bun maska here with special tea, do visit for that authentic taste
Best place to have Kheema Pav and Bun Maska.
Nice place
Nothing special about the place. Just a neighborhood convenience store. Never tried to eat anything here.
The sweetest uncle. The star of the restuarant. Gives away free toffes :D
Mutton Kheema taste was average. Not too excellent. Price Rs180 for full plate. Two people can eat.
One of the best restaurants for non veg items and at reasonable cost .very tasty food โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Classic Irani cafe - chai, khaari, broon maska, omlettes, kheema pao, long discussions and cranky lady at the counter. Perfect!
Cafe Colony store is one of the few remaining Irani restaurant cum stores of the olden era of Mumbai located at the entry of the renowned township called Hindu Colony, at Dadar east. This restaurant serves its signature style tea with Bun Maska, Brun Maska and Khari from the early hours of the day. It opens at 6.30 am and closes at 10.15 pm, completely at 10.30 pm. This store sell everything from pin to pen over its counter and serves as a full time restaurant too. Over the counter one can buy, the daily packed sliced breads, the bakery paav, the Brun and Bun paav, Butter, eggs, biscuits, practices, packs of noodles, sauces, soaps, detergents, tea, coffee powder etc etc etc....As a restaurant it serves a lot from omelette paav, kheema paav, kheema ghotala paav, chai paav, dal fry and rice, dal rice, mutton masala paav, chicken masala paav, and special Biryani on Fridays. Good food, easy on the pocket. Try their kheema half fry and kheema pulao
Hopeless and arrogant owner and heavy bills
Awesome khemma fry & Brun Maska
