Heard it is good, but we didn’t get much breads there because of COVID …will try next time
Love to visit the backery.. I tried a mava cake from backery that tastes so good..Must Try..
Very unique good quality baked items. Some are for health-conscious people — wholewheat, multi-grain etc. The wholewheat poli is not easily available elsewhere!
I go there for their soft pav and other breads. And occasionally for the bun/brun maska and Irani chai. You can get a taste of the olden times here. Classic and Vintage! 😀
The hot brun & bun maska is the Best theyve got to offer. Real delicious 😋
Prices have gone really high for even smallest items.. starting at 50rs I guessAnd most of their best sellers are mostly out of stock or over even at earliest opening hours
They have good quality breads..better than the ones you get at any store ..they make their breads and other items... must try
Very iconic restaurant with to die for bun-maska, Multi-grain bread and Mawa Cake.
Bakery with old world charm, it even has an old Yezdi Roadking bike on the premises along with old furniture and pictures. Nostalgic place. On the expensive side, limited choice.
Legends do not need reviews from mere mortals like us. Love their breads.
Best bread I have ever eaten
A VERY ANCIENT BAKERY SINCE PRE INDEPENDENCEALL PRODUCTS ARE VERY HYGENIC, GENUINE AND VERY TASTY TOO.EVERY PRODUCTS ARE UNIQUE IN THEIR OWN WAYS.COST WISE SLIGHTLY HIGH BUT WORTH.
Great place! Has been here for decades! My dad and masi have taken me here numerous times as a kid and now we go every time we are back in Mumbai. Very good owner and good staff. Must do when in Mumbai.
One of Mumbai’s oldest standing eatery, the Yazdani Bakery belongs to the Yazidi family. It has a typical Irani café feel to it and has warm and welcoming staff. The have old bread slicers on display with pictures of the family members on the walls. They showcase their history very clearly through the pictures displayed on the walls. We tried their bestselling apple pie which was very different from the usual apple pies served elsewhere. The crust was not a short crust pastry but just a simple refined flour dough. The filling however was packed with spices and dry fruits and it showed that they did not compromise on flavor, but the apple flavor did not come through as well. Overall it was a decent product, but we could see that it was a favorite amongst the locals due to the history and the service of the place.
About us: Yazdani bakery is parsi restaurant where you typically get snacks kind of food and this bakery has freshly made breads and puffsAmbience: Its a old place with old furniture but it has its own charm which cannot be denied.I had no problem with the same but yes its a little dark in their.Food: I had gone here to have snacks so I ordered mava puff and tea.1) Mava puff: This was perfect, it was not very sweet and it complimented very well with tea.😑⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐2) Tea: This was okay, I felt the was not strong, but I would this is very subjective ⭐⭐⭐Worth: The taste is good for the priceOverall: This place for light snacks is very good and have heard their bread is also very good.
Its the Best historic authentic Bakery for Buns Bread Cakes Puff and U get best Authentic bread 🥪 😋
Best n Fresh Bakery itemsWorking man are very much cooperative. If they have old bread they dont sell to customer. Which is very good point as human beings.
Best place for bun maskaaa...
Oldest bakery in SOBO, famous for mawa cake, maska pav , brown bread and multi grain bread. Their shrewberry biscuits are best ones in Mumbai. Though this place wears a dirty and tired look, but their products are worth a try.
The raisin bun slithered with loads of butter with Irani chai.. nothing like it.. 😍Typical bawa uncle(nosy but sweet at heart) at the counter continuously checking on his employees and yelling at them for the chores have not been done.❤️❤️. Do have the fresh baked hot Mava cakes, Bread pudding and Veg puff(available after 9AM). You can try the ginger biscuits too. Do take home, your dear ones would love it.
Tried the apple crumble, fiery ginger biscuit, bun maska, Irani chai. Do not leave without taking some buns along. Rs 5 for two pav, what is this, 1862? Also, try puffs. Theres some stuff that they only sell after 5:00pm, so try going around that time. Its walking distance from the BSE building or gateway of India.
Yazdani bakery is located at fort area. I heard that this legendary parsi bakery was established in late 1950. When you enter you can feel the old vibe of this legendary place. We ordered bun maska, Irani chai and bread pudding. Bun maska and Irani chai was good but bread pudding was too sweet for my palate. Overall I will food was average but you can visit for that vibe of legendary old parsi bakery.
One of the last few surviving Irani parsi bakeries left in Mumbai. Nostalgic to visit this place which have been knowing since childhood. The quantity/quality of the breads, cookies, cakes and apple pie is still the same. Value for money and thoroughly enjoyable. Enjoy your parsi chai and butter loaded sweet bun, whilst you can😋😁
One of the oldest and best. Their Shrewsbury biscuits are love.
Awesome authentic place to have Parsi food.....Apple pie is the best which is only available from 3pm till the stock last...Besides the products they have to offer, which I feel has its own unique taste, one must indulge in some conversation with the owner of the bakery, a very warm and friendly gentleman.
When someone says Irani Chai & Brun maska this place pops into my mind.. Its no nonsense place with no ambience at all.. Service is quick but not that pleasant (if you are expecting ever smiling waiters). Ignore everything & just concentrate on gluttony pleasures they offer.. Brun Maska with typical irani Chai, Carrot Cake, Mawa Cake, Khari & Apple Pie are my absolute favourite here.. A must visit as this is one of the oldest bakery in South Mumbai..
Amazing spread of baked goods ,applie pie ,their Christmas cake is very good as well
Places like Yazdani offer you more than just bakery products to savour. They take you to back to an era where one enjoyed a cup of tea with biscuit/bun/pie sniffing the aroma of freshly baked breads being made. The bakery is also cheeky with hand written notes, posters and photographs. One poster read Free Sauna. Sorry no free Wi-Fi! We went to buy Apple Pies. It was 1430 hours and the employee at the bakery asked us to wait till 1500 hours. He was earnest and suggested we enjoy a cup of tea and Bun Maska while we wait. The aroma of the freshly made breads was also tempting. So we waited and had chai and bun maska. The bun was super soft and the maska was melt in the mouth. The Apple Pie is quite different from what I had eaten. The crust was crisp and evenly baked. The filling a mix of apple, cinnamon and raisins (maybe more ingredients). I think it would go rather well with Vanilla Ice Cream on the side.
Bun makhan is too delicious
Yazdani has been my favorite Iranian cafe since 3 years. I accidentally stumbled upon it one time in 2016 and after that its one of the places that I religiously go to on all my Mumbai visits. Their tea is so light and refreshing and is a good compliment for the cakes they have. The cakes. Omg the cakes. I am a self proclamed cake enthusiast and this falls right in my alley. Its moist and tasty while not being excessive with the decorations and cream. I mean, if you want that old time good Indian kind of cake and not the colourful and full of cream monstrosity that you get everywhere, go here. The bun muska is a favorite. How can they slap some butter on a regular bun and make it so amazing is something that keeps me awake at night. Honestly, respect.
Yazdani Restaurant is one of these places that look like its been stuck in an ancient time, youre not too sure about the quality of what you are going to eat at first but when you actually have one bite of their Mava Puff, Bun Maska or pudding, you are happy you went there. The boss is very friendly too, told us a lot about how General De Gaulle stood up with the Indians during their war against the Chinese in 1961.
The no frills ambience of the 80s.Its a very old parsi bakery.I bought the carrot cake, apple pie and a packet of roll bread(6 pieces). These three items cost me 145 .The bakery is a 10 minute walk from cst..I went again after two days and had a tea and mava puffs(total cost 60).The tea is very refreshing. My only grouse is the price board should be visible to the public but other than that I can honestly say that all the items I had were good
Mawa Cake is awesome.
This place is located at fort, south Bombay. They serves traditional irani food like bun maska, mava cake, biscuits and really good tea too. The ambiance is ok but the food was really good. Its pocket friendly. You can enjoy your morning or evening with bun maska and tea. Must visit to get experienced.
Taste is awesome but as the restuarant is one of the oldest Irani cafe ambience is not that good! And staff is liltle bit arrogant..kind of like Gordon Ramsay..great food but rude.Sundays they dont have all food items.Their is one more Yazdani bakery near Central cinemas while tracing it on Google maps be aware
First off I was deceived by the mava cake pic which was shown in association to this bakery on FB, so I went there to check that out. However I cant blame that it was misrepresented and its definitely not the bakerys fault. But what did upset me was that after we had tea and mava cake and requested the bill the response from the waiter (in a rude tone) 40rs ka bill hai, Kya bill doon!(As if he was earning for me). Im glad to see the owner respond to all the reviews, but such customer service is just not done. I understand that its a heritage, but that doesnt mean you show disregard.P.s Im not coming again.
Good & fresh bakery items. They never had good Chai as far as I remember. Bread loaf, Apple pai, Mava cake, Multigrain bread - all these are of best quality. One may find it a bit expensive but quality does not come cheap.
Best Bakery in Girgoan- Mumbai, they bake Fresh Buns/breads/Cakes/Pasteries/Nankatai.Breads are so fresh & Spongy. You will get fresh breads & buns every morning & evening straight from the bakehouse. Thier Chocolate Pastry loaded with Pure Chocolate is Must try. Also, do try Khari, butter & Nankatai Biscuits for evening snack with Tea.
A very old bakery one of the oldest in Mumbai , plum rum cake made in Christmas is an absolute stunner, soft breads ,buns with maska Irani chai, a good place to spend time with your office colleagues at evening, an iconic old bakery of mumbi. A heritage place to be.

Fresh Mava cake, bread pudding etc other bakery item except brun and bun will be available after 08:30 am daily..
Their breads are good, but the place needs a lot of paint and polish, but can only be done after the lockdown is lifted
You buy anything and I mean anything it will be as fresh as todays mornings
You should definitely try such old irani restaurants and try tea with brun muska youll definitely enjoy
An epic place with wonderful options to buy. But slowly kinda going down not in quality of their products but its operations..
Yummy mawa cakes!
Very good bread , khari etc
Located in the bylanes of the commercial Fort are which is the financial hub of Mumbai where people are always in a rush to get through the day and make millions this quaint... There stands the one and only Yazdani Bakery and Restaurant, when we look around the place that is so sturdy and teeming with regulars and the frequent knells of ‘Bun-Maska-Chai” booming through the room. Yazdani has a large and loyal fan following. May be it’s the feeling of having time travelled into a classic Irani restaurant in Mumbai, or simply the dollops of maska in the bun-maska they offer, Yazdani is full of character – just like your favourite old book lying rugged on your shelf. Right from the exteriors to the people who visit it, Yazdani takes you on a trip to a less polished, raw and ragged Mumbai – the one that told tales of its initiation, survival and how it still stands undeterred and moves on but still retains its glamour.. ...
Rusty antique beautiful old irani cafe. Looks beautiful and smells yum. The bun pav and brun pav are to die for. Loveeed it!
An old Bakery that might take you to era of freshly baked bread and the sweet aroma that lingers even after you finish your portion! The prices are very economical and the place is generally flocked by a lot of office goers. A little sad part about this place is that in the name of keeping history intact they have left the building almost Delapidated. I agree you do not really should go and paint walls but a slightly clean and dusted setup would really be much better!Nevertheless, hands down their brun maska tea is the most loved one here! Also hop on to this nostalgic train with some Mawa cupcakes and yes, bread pudding along with tea!
If you are not informed about this place then probably you wont step in the joint. But its worth going there, probably it is in the same state as it was inaugurated some 100 odd years back. Old bread oven, bread slicing machine and displays take you to yester years. Owner has clearly paced a placard stating free sauna and steam (as there is no air conditioning) as insufficient fan air and famous Bombay weather treats you same as claimed by owner while relishing the tea and goodies , no WiFi. It gives the sense of old belonging, but once you taste Brun maska, maska pav with chai, then you will realize that why people are coming here. When in fort area near fountain do have a cup of tea.
Tasty food
Lovely place which takes you back in time! Awesome bun masks and chairs.
It is one of the oldest bakery in South Bombay. They serve best bun maska, carrot cake, mava cake and veg puffs. The cost are very reasonable. The place looks old and shady, but dont judge on the ambiance. Just visit there once and have the popular stuffs. You will like it for sure.
Love this bakery products
We went yesterday. The person who prepares chai is not there anymore. You will get bun and other baked items only, and no dine in option.
Good place for authentic Parsi food. Nice German clipping hanged around, makes me wanna See Kyle(say it fast and loud)
One of the iconic parsi restaurant
The name Yazdani originates from the town of Yazd, which is the capital of the Yazd Province in Iran, and a hub of Iranian culture. For the first three decades Yazdani served dhansak, dal rice, kheema pav, biryani and other such staple Irani fare. The Yazdani bakery is tucked into a by-lane in Fort and is quite easy to miss, given the unassuming exterior.Once inside, you can take your seat on one of the many wooden benches in the modest sized seating area. A slight look around the place will divulge its rich history. The vintage framed posters of burly men, the humongous clock from an era gone by, and the antique brass call bell make the Yazdani experience a charming one.Your visit to Yazdani is not complete if you haven’t chatted up the owners while sipping on your chai and biting into your brun maska, slathered with copious amounts of Amul butter.Regulars, however, swear by the multi-grain bread and ginger biscuits and rum-soaked plum cakes that are popular during Christmas
If you like bun maska you will like this place. Located close to Bombay Stock exchange this place is heritage. Prefer taking tea with bun maska.
Its good.
Can enjoy a quality tea and Brun bun
Quality of breads is too good and one of the oldest bakery in fort mumbai till date with top quality breads
Ancient parsi bakery, serving sweet teas with buttered buns. ambience is just the best!
