BLACK PEPPER CHICKEN (FULL)NO! Plz dont try to find this tandoori dish on the menu. You wont find it. They have not listed it in there. But trust me, its one of their best kept secrets. The chefs prime speciality. We visit here just to have this creamy white delicacy.Hotel Grand Central, located few minutes walk from the Chembur station on the east front is the place I have been visiting since I was born. Best friendly staff with a warm welcoming demeanor. The ambience is royal and well lit. The Management has taken excellent care for the covid protocols by installing sanitation full body automatic sprays when you enter in to climb the stairs. The hotel has ground floor and one level up.Let me tell you about my favourite dish here, Black pepper chicken. Its priced at 800/- rs inclusive of taxes. I would advise to place an order for this well in advance as it takes around 40mins for the dish to be prepared as its not the common dish ordered here. The chef is a true magician with this one as he casts his spell on us with the epic marination techniques and the tender soft texture of the chicken with balanced sprinkle of black pepper to merge the spice with a master touch. The quantity is perfectly enough for two and it will rest so light on your stomach. I am sure, you will crave for it again and again and yet again.Enjoy it and let me know. Cheers!
Situated at the heart of Chembur , Food is nice . Price is expensive , what I felt.Ordered. : 1 fruit punch : too sweet .2. Kokam sharbat : amazing it taste3 . Amritsari fish tikka : If you dont like fish smell , then avoid it. It has mild fishy smell . Over all nice.4 . Chicken butter masala : their signature dish, little sweeter on taste . Overall okay .5 . Green salad : 160 ruppes !?? Too much pricy
Ambience is good. Valet parking available. Food quality and service has degraded over the time. Its no longer an experience it was until few years back. Recent experience was truly disappointing. I have to say that the street food would taste much better and of superior quality. Not recommended at all.
Cramped seating arrangements despite covid 19, tables are packed with customers on the top floor especially. Good food though
Have such fond memories of this place growing up. Theres a certain standard to their preparations that they seem to have maintained well so far. The non-veg is a big plus, butter chicken fans will not be disappointed. Their serving staff is professional & polite. See myself coming to this place often in the future as well (:
Absolute nostalgia! Last visited this place in 1996, and had loved it back then. They still serve lovely food, and they still recommend their butter chicken which in true sense is yumm! Excellent place for family dine-in.
Quality was not good....in this rates you can buy much better food then this. But buskin robins was awesome. I loved the cotton candy shake ♥️✨
Excellent Butter chicken. Unique taste
Fabulous restaurant. Cosy ambience. Good service.
One of the oldest place .. I am visiting it since 1981..,It has maintained it food Quality and service very well.Excellent food both veg. and non Veg.
My favourite restaurant since childhood. Quality of food is top notch and variety is good! For all Palak Paneer lovers like myself, this is the place for you!
Best place to dine with family and friends. Excellent food and best service
The cook seems to have changed. Food quality is degraded as on Sept 2021
Excellent food and sanitization steam given to all customers before entry.

Quality Fish food. An average dining experience..!
The place has been well known since a long time in chembur!! Non-veg lovers totally for you . They dont have much variety on veg but the taste and flavours are totally Indian . Alcohol is available .this has been my favorite place since childhood and much say here the chicken lollipop is totally amazing . And yeah they do arrange small cuisine festivals which are not to be missed as they put lot of efforts to make it happen !! please go there and enjoy the dining as they put in lot of efforts with the decor for every fest they arrange .
Good ambience . Service is v good
A very old and well known establishment in Chembur.Slightly on the expensive side,Ambiance is great. ✔️Service was fast & polite. ✔️Food:Butter Chicken does justice to all the hype ✔️Roti Tokri was goodSweet Corn Chicken soup was not the best but 2.5/5.Spicy Chicken Noodle soup was Good. 3/5Garlic Chicken with Gravy was meh 2/5.Overall: On the expensive side but worth a visit.
Decent place, good ambience. Food is just like every other good restaurant. Service is good. Once of the best restaurants to dine out with family in Chembur.
Reliable Food Quality for 100 years its the same
Excellent experience. Had to wait for my order but definitely worth it. I am a big time foodie, Will highly recommend this place.
One of the oldest Restaurants of Chembur located near Chembur station, the name of the restaurant defines itself; it is grand in the sense that it leaves a lasting impression of its food and the atmosphere. There is a good festival going on(Daawat-e-Awadh) so there was a special curated menu by chef Vinod maithaniWe ordered the badami Murg sheekh and lifafa paneer from the special menu. The Murg sheek was very well prepared, there were buys of almonds, pomegranates and exotic herbs in between the kebabs, the lifafa paneer had a unique tangy taste prolly because of the secret gravy used.Fromm the normal menu we ordered Manchow soup, sweet corn chicken soup, exotic veg rice and butter chicken.Everything was made very well, the food was tasty.Only thing lacking about Grand Central is the decor which fell short to impress me, I remember through my previous experiences here as to how good it used to look. But it feels like it has lost its touch now.I would recommend you guys to try this restaurant if you are in the vicinity. You wont regret the tasty food.
Awesome place for dine, good taste, best hospitality received
Good place to go to with a family and close friends.
Taste is not so good as we ate earlier, home delivery response is poor. I am going to this hotel since 30 years but now days same taste n service is missing.
Very good quality and good service.
Safety n distancing followed well. Food was great and so were desserts. Friendly fast n attentive service. Loved it
This restaurant is costly affairs to be in company of. The food was good particularly chesse chaska chaska and milk shake, Cocum sarbat & cold coffee with ice cream. The service was but lethargic as service delivery of food took too much time to serve. This restaurant is mainly for people who can accommodate with high end budget. The food was though good to taste. Value for money can be said but service delivery is poor.
Pls try their biriyanis!
If youre planning to treat your family with a fine lunch or dinner then this place must top your list. The food is amazing, the ambience is just right and the staff is very friendly. We ordered Rajasthani Murg tikka, Murg tikka Masala, butter garlic naan and tandoori roti. The chicken was well marinated and juicy. They say first impression is the last impression. Were definitely going back for more!
Very Good place. We had couple of soup and their signature dish butter chicken. Was really tasty. Coming back to this place after a long time.Social distancing is absent with almost 80% occupancy. That part seemed a bit scary.
The staff is extremely rude.food was average, 0 points on customer service
Good food, decent service, full body sanitization of the guests, clean, very old famous place for food. Taste is maintained.
Hi khurshid hereSwiggy rider ask water but they not given this is not fare bad service poor management manger also told not allowed water for Swiggy rider
Very costly if the food is good and costly its ok the ice in my whisky was not of good quality and the mutton in my biryani was over cooked a very bad experience
Service over here was good but only the people who are serving is not discipline they shout at each other
Very good and one of the oldest and finest Restaurant in Chembur. A must visit place.
Like the food. Not service
Worst hotel in this area...no Quality
Very Good, Staff is loyal, King prawns taken by us is not 100% Boiled,Coocked. So It Taste is not good as expected.
Food is ok ok but the Desert (Rasmalai) not good and its very expensive also
Met up with school mates at Grand Central. This time it was a few of us. Others couldnt make it this time around. We usually book a small hall for the Reunion. But this time we just had to join a few tables and it was really good. This is the second time we were meeting at Grand Central. It is very easy to locate the Hotel. The staff was very cooperative and the food was really amazing. The food kept coming we had ordered for the fixed Menu. So we enjoyed the food and had a great time catching up with old School friends happily remembering our school days. Some of us had come from Bangalore and Singapore. Must say that We did have a good time at Grand Central. Great place. This will always be Etched in our memories.
Very good food. Nice place for family
Nice ambience , good Indian food
We had gone in February 2021. We were checked for our temperature before entering. We sat at the top part. The food was good. Some vegetables were but uncooked. The paneer in all the dishes was very fresh. Chicken manchow solo was very good, so much chicken! The starters were very good. Dish to try out - Chicken 65, Multani Khumb and Chocolate brownie with ice-cream. The portion sizes were family sized. The only negative was that except for one sitting place, the whole upper part was crowded. So, it was a disappointment due to lack of crowd control and social distancing.
Food is really good, but it takes ages to get the food delivered.
Great food, taste and staff
The most consistent quality food for over 40 years. Amazingly good food
Great Food for YearsLoved Butter Chicken the Most !BLISSFULL
Very Tasty food and good ambiance. They also have live music sometimes which is very pleasant.
Good food and service , Sol kadhi must try
One of the upscale places near Chembur station area. Ambience and food are great as compared to other restaurants near station. Clean washrooms, courteous staff and awesome food. Go here if you want to dine out with family. Not a place for a quick bite though.
The chemburites favourite..Esp the East End Deli.
Good food and ambience. Shall visit again !
From 30 years Food quality is superb.
Great food. Fantasy icecream is a must try.
A great place to have food . Good ambience as well.
Feeling Dowine ? Eat Brownie..🤪😎•💡Brownie with icecream & hot chocolate sauce at @hotelgrandcentral1974 : ₹240/-•Grand Central started its humble journey on the 14th Day of April in the year 1974. Chembur at the time was a quiet and sleepy suburb and known for its lush tree lined avenues and quaint colonial style bungalows. As the Suburb of Chembur grew so did Grand Central and its patronage. Initially when the restaurant opened its doors for business it was extensively pandering to the Indian palate. However Chinese cuisine was introduced in 1982 and Thai Cuisine in 1996. The Restaurant today serves a multitude of cuisines with its forte in the North Indian style of cooking. Even today ingredients are carefully hand picked and prepared by our Master chefs to perfection. Grand Central was also one of the first Restaurants to promote wine culture in Mumbai way back in 1995. Today it boasts of a wine dossier which has a selection of Indian and world acclaimed wines.......#craveablesavourbykartika #chembur #chemburfoodie #mumbaifoodie #foodblogger #thanefoodblogger #foodiebybirth #browine #icecream #brownieicecream #hotchocolate.....(PS : content picked from their website!)
A minute from Chembur station a perfect blend of all types delicious cusinine...
Food is good but they were forcing us to finish it before 3.30. So time restrictions in the noon time.
One of the best punjabi restaurants. Multi cuisine. Good food and un rushed service. Take the staff recommendations seriously they know their stuff
Food is not good and service also is not good. They dont listen. They say they will prepare in a way but overlook all the instruction. And yeah never eat a pizza from the menu. All in all not a good experience
It was good and satisfactory
Awesome Food
Great place! Superb for family dining.
Program 19 October banquet hall delicious food surfing very good service thank you assistant restaurant manager Akhilesh gaikwad
I really liked the ambienceService was excellentFood very good
They sent stale food. The biryani tasted so bad I had to throw it away, I even complained to Swiggy and Grand Central but they did nothing about it.
Good food, Good service
Good food. Parking available
Good ambience
Very nice
Nice food.....
Xcellent food
I agree this is one of the oldest family restaurant in Chembur. Earlier the food quality, price and service used to be very good. In the last few years the prices have been increased greatly, quality of food especially veg is pathetic. Service is also very poor and slow with their staff mixing up orders and serving cold food after taking lot of time to serve. I really hope they improve on all the above points as mentioned above, otherwise people have other options, better deals and better hotels to spend their personal time.
