Known as Mumbai’s very own Taj Mahal, Hasnabad Dargah is one of the prettiest mausoleums in the city, made of blue and white stones with two minarets and a blue dome. It’s located in Mazgaon, one of the seven islands that made Mumbai, and was built to house the tomb of the 1st Aga Khani, Shah Hasan Ali Shah, who came to India from Iran in the early 1800s.What To See: The monument is illuminated after sunset, so that’s a sight for sore eyes for any visitor.

Place is nice from outside but entry is restricted to guji-muslims and not others so other people can only see from gate cannot enter.

Located in Byculla ,Anjeerwadi to be precise this beautiful white mosque is often called the Taj Mahal of Mumbai. Built by the Aga Khanis this mosque is only open to members of the Khojha Muslim community.However no one could stop me from appreciating the beauty of this structure from the gates.Wish I could make the skyscraper on the background disappear

This is really a beautiful mausoleum of the shah Hasan Alis Maqbara (grave) built in 1884 by Agha Khan II and khoja community. Its resembling Taj Mahal.

They recently closed this place for ‘non Ismailis’. Me and my family were literally kicked out. Extremely shameful given that the management claims to follow the rich legacy of the Aga Khan. Open mindedness down the dustbin.

Awesome !!!What a place to be for quiet and tranquil to get some spiritual recharge. Can be called the Taj Mahal of Mumbai. Awesome peice of architecture restored a few years ago by the Aga Khan Development Network to its original glory.. It should be on the tourist map of Mumbai but being private property, access is restricted. Though if you are a small group or a family of 5 to 6, a courteous request not only gets you the access but also a free guide to take you around and explain the Histrory and intricate architectural details. Photography is strictly prohibhited even from outside the gate. Except for certain festivals when security is lax and visitors are allowed.
