We got our office premises designed by SE-ARCH and it has been an amazing experience. The office looks just fantastic. Every person who walks into our office is impressed with the looks, quality of work and the attention to detail.Since we are based in the Kalaghoda area, we wanted a combination of classic design but with a modern functional feel. The team at SE-ARCH suggested a look based on Frank Lloyd Wrights school of thought. The result has been very satisfying. It is a pleasure to come to work to such an invigorating environment. I have been working here for 2yrs now. The happy work environment, eye for detail and environment responsive designs are things i appreciate about work here. A specific project is handled by a team of few, hence each one getting wholistic knowledge on all aspects; services or design. Mornings are charged up without wastage of time, with Kapil sir himself being present at 8.30am each day!

Have worked on many project with SEARCH architect team. Haven’t seen any architects in mumbai, who are so evolved and involved in the projects from the unseen smallest detail to the biggest seen feature of the project. It’s always a learning for us, working with the team. Their Work is very contemporary and modern. Very few professionals give comfort and space for a agency (vendors) to deliver a better project, SEARCH team is one of them. A multifaceted firm, but modest at the same time. As an intern, most of us are highly skeptical of being offered enough responsibilities. I am a Fifth year Architecture Student, from Academy of Architecture Mumbai- Unaided. I Interned in SE-ARCH architects in my Eighth Semester, for six months. In response to some of the reviews that claim that the firm hires unpaid interns, i would like to bring to their notice that my fellow interns and i were paid the highest in our batch. Internship wasnt about money, it was more about the learning experience.Despite being the youngest members of the firm, we were given heavy design duties and creative liberties. For all those intending to intern here - Initiate active conversations with your senior architects, Ar. Kapil Bhalla and Ar. Jayshree Bhalla . Be vocal about your ideas, and indulge yourself in the design experience, to gain maximum from it.

Sharing my experience as a former intern, I would like to say that it was a wonderful one. Certainly more than I could have asked for.When I first met Kapil sir, I was clearly notified that there would be no stipend at the end of the term. However, I still picked this over the multiple others that were ready to pay me a hefty sum. This, citing how impressed I was with the way sir speaks and conducts himself.Also, it is a very short internship and with four years in college, we are complete novices. If anything, a firm does us a favour by employing us and teaching us through the short term.In terms of work, quite to my surprise, I was given a lot of design responsibilities, multiple opportunities to interact with clients on a first hand basis and also sent to a client location in Kolkata with another intern where we got to represent the firm. Certainly the highlight of my experience. All this cannot be marked as luck. It comes with a certain form of conduct. If you’re one to sit behind the desk and do as told, no questions asked or without engaging in proactive discussions with Kapil Sir and Jayshree Ma’am, it is possible that the experience may not seem fruitful enough. This holds true for any firm, any profession and any level of seniority of the employee.Since, I got to engage on a daily basis with Sir, I learnt a lot about how he runs the business and how he is so easily offered projects form clients. I learnt how to improve my communication skills. I’m sure going forward this will be my biggest asset in life. I’m the end, again to my surprise I was also rewarded a sum of money that was the highest amongst my contemporaries. I’d just look at it as an added bonus to all the valuable friends and lessons I got from the firm.
