The Wellington Fountain was erected to commemorate the visit of the Duke of Wellington to Bombay in 1865, was built in Neo-Classical style through public subscription. The two tiered, Octagonal basalt stone fountain was conceptualized by Lieutenant Colonel JJ Scott as the architect with General Augustus Fuller, Royal Engineers overseeing its construction.

Fountain is a place filled with heritage and showcases beautiful architecture. The moment you pass this vicinity you are taken into a Victorian day and age of nobles , cruelty , pomp and a reminder of how we fought and got back our land. Spectacular state of art structure. You will fall in love if u happen to be there opposite building at aaram vadapao at early monsoon morning or evening with a cup of tea and stare it without blink for just 10 seconds. Bet you cant move from there for another 20 minutes until you scan whole beautiful structure into your brain.
