One of my friends insisted so visited Our Lady of Hope Church on 15-04-2018 for the Feast. A lovely experience of climbing the small mountain to reach the Church. Really a very good arrangements made by the Church Members. I would love to visit it often.

If you happen to live in or around Ghodbunder please do visit this place.It looks and feels the way a Church has to be, nothing fancy, very simple yet very beautiful.There is something about this place, it makes your heart be at peace.Its a small church with a lot of historic importance. It looks beautiful from within, the tile work, the altar it just looks different. Unlike the jilmil jhatag that you see in churches today. It was pleasant sight.Its usually closed and there is a service once in a month. Surrounding area is clean and kept well.Oh BTW there is some Baba ka grave exactly at the entrance of the church, dont know the purpose.The watchman / caretaker will open the church in case you want to sit inside and pray. Its very peaceful. The view from there is spectacular, it has the sea on side.The only problem some of them might face is that you have to climb some 100+ step to reach there. A small cardio workout 😉

This church demands that you first exercise physically before spiritually by climbing 213 stairs, but all worth it for the view from the top of the hill. Mass only on 1st Sunday of every month at 10:00 a.m., but this place is ace if you just want to pray amidst nature.

Inside the church beautiful but outside not maintained properly. Cleanliness should be maintained it will attract lots of tourist.

A Roman Catholic church located on a hillock at Ghormal village in Thane. It was built by the Portuguese Franciscans before 1630 and destroyed by the Marathas in 1737. This church was restored and renovated. There are more than 100 steps for climbing. It is dedicated to Our Lady of Hope. From the top, one can get a panoramic view of the creek area. There is a Muslim grave in front of the church. Its interior is small having wooden pews and a false ceiling. The Altar has a barrel vaulted ceiling along with a mural. Had attended a mass service for its feast day. It is an ideal holy place of worship for those devotees who would like to seek blessings.

Very good place for worship King of Kings Jesus Christ.. You have to walk and reach upstairs to reach church. Its a very beautiful Catholic Church and the mass begins on Sunday at 9:15 am in English.

Its the most peaceful place I have come across. Time spent here is really awesome. Personally speaking, this has been a miraculous place for me too. You should visit this place at least once to understand what peace is..

This Place Is Super Awesome For Having Peace of Mind... You Can Relax Here Peacefully... Its Quite And Decent Place. There Are Also Great Sceneries To Watch... You Can Have Great Mind Refreshing Feeling... There Are Total 223 Steps... So You Need To Climb Those Steps If You Want To Feel The Fresh Wind On Top of The Hill... Its A Hilly Place... The church is dedicated to our Lady of hope.You can experience our Ladys presence here.Pray for anything and it will be surely granted.I prayed to mama Mary for a daughter and I am blessed with a baby angel.A must visit.

Offbeat place.scenic location.you will have to park on foothill and climb stairs for about 10 15 mins to reach on top to the Church.there is dargah right outside church which is taken care by Hindu family lives nearby. this is demonstration of spirit of India where we all live together. with respect and peace.one can see Ulhas river front here.

The Church is placed at a wonderful location on the Top of a Hill..... The Church constructed during the Portuguese rule still stands strong though the structure seems weekend due to soil erosion and excavations in the area.. A regular Sunday mass is held attended by the local Catholics..

Beautiful place of worship, Catholic services conducted every first Sunday of the month at 10am. Please note that the route shown by google is completely incorrect. One has to take the road heading towards Rosa Elite buildings, Bhayandarpada and park your vehicle on the first left. Then start your climb up the hill after a narrow path along side a few houses.
