My experience has been great so far.The Manager Samir will offer exceptional service and the place operates at limited capacity with social distancing and sanitisation measures.They are usually booked so I suggest to book at least 2-3 days before.

Food was not at all worth 5 star quality. Ordered dhal chawal for my 16 month old and the veggies were less than half cooked. Also, pulka was so thick and end of them were not even cooked.Paneer was very hard and also lassi tasted as though sugar was mixed in curd. I am sure I make a better one at home. Waste of time and money.

After a long pandemic when Diwali knocked at the door it was time to choose a special restaurant and thus choose Masala Bay at Taj Lands endAs you enter Taj you can either use a valet but you will be charged for sanitising the car or park on your own which is free of cost.The restaurant is located at L1 which is both accessible by an elevator as well as stairs.We were greeted warmly and escorted to a seat immediately. The menu card can be accessed through a QR Code which can be scanned through your mobile phone. As you order you will be served a complimentary plate of wafers with a tomato chutney. The chutney is like the one made in Bengali home made in mustard oil and goes really well with the wafersTo start with we ordered Nimona Tikka. This is a green peas patty which was served with onion and green chutney. It would have really gone well with a tamarind based sauce which I asked for but was not available and I was suggested to make do with the tomato chutney. Unfortunately I needed something tangy not sweet. I hope the message is passed on to the chefIn the non veg starter we also added Aatish e Chaap which was excellently made and I enjoyed it thoroughly.In the main course we ordered Subz Lazeez Handi which we asked to make it Mild spicy but I think you can try the spicy version as the gravy has cashew. To eat this we ordered Bah Khummach a bread which is made sprinkled with fennel & poppy seeds. It complimented the gravy well.Last but not the least we ended with Ras malai. It was good but not a speciality or something unique to remember. Thus maybe you can skip the dessert hereNevertheless it was a Diwali evening well spent with the special care on hygiene by Taj

World class experience. The chef is master in all dishes they serve. I never had such experience before, perfectly cooked, taste top notch, they pay attention to minor minor details. And the staff is very friendly n humble.

A posh place to sit back and relax with friends and family. Nice views of the high roof. They have nice drinks and paintings on the wall acoss this place are a masterpiece. The best part is that most of the time you are able to spot celebs at this place.

First things first, this place is at Taj Lands End, Bandra Bandstand, home of tinseltown bollywood, in Mumbai. The best thing about this restaurant is the interactive theatre kitchen. You need to visit this place to experience it. You can opt for a private dining room during the time of booking. The is not a 24 hour restaurant, operates only during the afternoon and evening. Food is mostly north Indian plus seafood. The lounge is well equipped with good alcohol. As a bonus, if you are coming here for the first time and want to try out multiple dishes at once, order the thali.

Had a great evening. Ambience is comfortable, lighting is just enough. Food is absolutely delicious. Went for the pre set menu- tasting menu - it was a gastronomic delight. Different varieties of various INDIAN cuisines so innovatively displayed. Enjoyed. The waiters could have been a little more informative and clear about their speech.

Probably the best Biryani and kebabs Ive had in a very long time. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have some authentic India cuisine. Right from the appetizers to the dessert, the meal is outstanding. The service provided was excellent and couldnt ask for anything better! Will definitely be back the next time Im in Mumbai. I was here for lunch. The buffet spread was vast and as varied with options. The salad bar had several veg and non-veg options. Also loved the dessert spread, you always had something more to get tempted by, difficult to stick to a diet plan in here.

If you ask me about the food, i will give it 5 stars. Plenty of options. Food was very tasty (pricey as well). I will cut 1 star because of the service. Staff looked exhausted, no smile on their face. Overall, it was a good experience. Will visit again if i get a chance.

One of the most pathetic service experiences. That too in a taj hotel.Saturday afternoon lunch Place practically empty. Nobody even bothers to come near the table. It’s almost as if people come to the restaurant come for enjoying the Airconditioners.After several efforts manage to get the attention of the serving staff. Orders taken reluctantly. Orders served even more reluctantly.No one bothered about what else we wanted to order.Two hours for a simple drinks starters and main course.Since one doesn’t have too much time to waste forego dessert pay up and walk.Haven’t seen such a dismal indifference to customers in a fancy restaurantGuess this place is only for people who have nothing else to do but to wait for the benign attention of the staff.

In first week of August i was staying at Taj Landsend and I happened to dine at our favourite Indian restaurant Masala Bay in the hotel and the food served there was delicious and the service given by Kunwar and his team was remarkable. My dad’s favourite dish is available only here and that called Gucchi - It’s a type of rare mushroom grown in North India in places like Jammu, Himachal etc. It’s rarely found and Masala Bay has got it back on the menu after few years. Kunwar was so kind to make Gucchi available for us for breakfast too. Satvik at Vista made it available for us. Also a big thank you to Chef Atanu and Chef Sadab for their delicious cuisine. Our favourite desert is the Paan ice cream served in Masala Bay. That’s the highlight at the end of the meal. I thank the entire staff of Masala Bay for their excellent service.

Delicious food, including Jain food. The palak kofta ,Dal Makhani , the Ajwain Paratha were absolutely fabulous. The Sufi singer Kavita Seth says the Baingan ka Bharta was too good.Excellent service, the staff deserves a pat on the back. Superb, soft ambience.Imbalance in portions is why I am unable to give it a 5 star. The stewards need to guide the diners on the portion size of each curry.Maybe a 4.75 star would be more appropriate :-)

The food can be good but its a bit of trial and error to find the good dishes. Some of the mushroom dishes they served were very good and unique.

The presentation too was excellent, especially the mutton curry, which was served in a small pressure cooker!The ambience is also very good. My husband and I were immensely pleased with the staff. The Restaurant Manager Samir Phadnis is one of the best Managers we have met at any of the Taj Hotels. He is very soft-spoken, extremely courteous and we could tell that he has been with the Taj for a long time. We would also like to mention the Asst Restaurant Manager Hrushikesh Nakhawa, who is very conversant with the menu and he too is very polite, courteous and friendly. Steward Lalit is also very efficient, pleasant and knows the menu well.Overall it was a great lunching experience and we will surely return again. For a very tasty Indian meal and great service, we certainly recommend Masala Bay.

Located at the magnificent Taj Lands End, Masala Bay is an equivalent of ITCs Peshawari.The ambiance and service is fine and not much to write about.Do try the Dal Makhani and Garlic Naan. Both were one of the best that Ive ever tasted. They also serve some great paan after the meals.If North Indian Food is on your mind, then dont think twice. Just come here!
