It opens on weekends but the food quality and the service was the best ever as the Stad was very friendly and also cooperative. The made a play area for my small baby and was supper friendly and creative of them.Highly recommend

We ordered asparagus and corn dumplings which were phenomenal! You can see the chef making them right in front of you, like a magician! The spring rolls were crispy, crunchy, had just the right amount of filling and the sweet chilli sauce was something I could eat a bucket of! The vegetarian fried rice with a non spicy black pepper sauce was the cherry on top :)

The food did not match up to our expectation of the place; the portions were very large and quite difficult to finish. The food did not taste very authentic, it all seemed drowned in soy. Personally it felt like I was eating an overpriced Chinese takeaway.

Excellent service but the food is overpriced I found compared to other asian cuisine restaurants. Only items worth the price are the dim sums freshly made to order in front of us.

The quality of the food is top of the notch for vegetarians, but I can’t speak for its meat meals. The true beauty of this restaurant is the service and ambience. It is a quiet scene and the waiters go above and beyond in their help. Specifically, Danica, the manager, was extremely polite and even brought flowers out for us. Overall, I recommend this restaurant to any guest.

Was a great family dinner experience... Had hosted a private dinning for my moms birthday at the Golden Dragon their Chinese restaurant ... The staff made us feel very special n served with a smile... A round table was apt for a cozy n interactive family dinner to chit chat comfortably all though out... The space was intellectually designed for the family to enjoy all by itself... Dishes from the menu were altered n served just the way they were instructed without compromising the taste textures n presentations... On the house cake was the take away thats why Taj is the best in hospitality when it comes to bringing smiles... Best part of Taj is they do all this without levying any Service Charge... Taj is the best when it comes to hospitality and making the occasion count.

Great Ambience. However the quality of food doesnt match the ambience. I found that the mains were superior to the appetizers. Also the dishes are way overpriced - quality of food doesnt match the price.I think the Ming Yang at Taj Lands End serves better food.

We were celebrating a family reunion and decided to go the the Golden Dragon. We started with some drinks for everyone and ordered the famous Seafood spicy soup which was outstanding. In the starters we had the butter garlic prawns which had great flavour. The main course was jasmine egg sticky rice , Pomfret and Lamb which was mildly spiced but very consistent in taste and flavour. An end to a lovely dining experience at the Golden Dragon which never disappoint’s.

Amazing experience, visited after many years, rather 1st time after my marriage which is 25 yrs & celebrated by wifes 50th birthday with the family. This is an iconic chinese restaurant, within the beautiful Taj Mahal Hotel.Though this is a little unsung, as compared to other chinese restaurants in the city, it holds its own, with a variety of dishes on offer, both for vegetarians,and non vegetarinas alike.This could be partly due to its location on the ground floor, that, one is not able to get a majestic view of the sea.However the cuisine, and the ever attentive TAJ service more than make up for the same.Worth the visit.

The food is just outstanding. Whatever you order is just tasty. The staff is as expected..5star.

I was not very impressed at all. I think the service has gone down in quality. I had gone there a long time ago and remembered this restaurant with nostalgia. We had the Sichuan tofu which was ok and burnt garlic rice which did not taste like it and vegetables in black bean sauce. The service was extremely slow and there was nothing exceptional for the amount charged except that it has a Taj brand mark on it. The seating was uncomfortable due to the aircon (extremely cold). We requested them to shut it, they switched it off for 2 minutes and it was back on. Dont think I will go back there again. With so much competition coming up I really believe that this place needs to up its game a lot more.

Have been going to Ming Yang regularly at Lands End since it’s opened, and also dine at various Hakkasan/Yauatcha branches worldwide, most frequently in Mayfair and Soho of London.Having heard a lot about Golden Dragon (as well as comparisons to the above restaurants) and being told that GD is superior in almost every way we went there with sufficiently high expectations on New Years Day.The Dim Sum was dismally bland, probably the worst I’ve ever had in terms of flavour and quality. The starters were alright, however nothing special or unique, which is something you’d expect at the price point. Portions were also small in comparison to the other high end Chinese restaurants mentioned above, yet more expensive and not as good. Doesn’t really make sense. Mains were not as bad as the starters and dim sum, but again, similarly boring and uninspired.The service was excruciatingly slow, and food took a long time to arrive, leaving us hungry between courses. Ambience was nice, but quite weirdly, despite being a Chinese restaurant, the decor lacked much Chinese inspiration and seemed rather generic.A disappointing experience that only served to show how overhyped and overpriced the Golden Dragon is. The food at GD would not pass for more than an average Chinese restaurant in an obscure suburb if it was in London. I would advise that you eat at better restaurants such as Ming Yang, or the respective Hakkasan/Yauatcha branches in Mumbai and save yourself a decent amount of money in the process.

I am so disappointed in Taj Mahals service as the day before we found a hair in our food at Wasabi. Today while having dinner, we found an insect in our chicken corn soup. I really dont know what is happening, is it my bad luck or the even worse management of Taj? I have eaten in ecletic areas in India and havent had any issue and I mean everywhere! To have such experience twice two days in a row at a 5 start hotel? Simply astonishing to say the least. And after all that, all they offered at an instant is to change the dish. Heres an image to sum it all up.
