If you could, try reaching the destination from the side of Medha road to enjoy full stretch of the ghats. Dont forget to visit the secluded plateau nearby the temple. It has amazing view of Kanher dam and whole Satara is visible at the backdrop. The temple itself has its own importance carried straight from Mahabharata.

Meruling is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva built by Pandavas on highest mountain range of Sahyadri. Construction of temple is like a fort. It is being said that the Shivling in the temple is swayambhu.The temple has historical side as well, there is a giant bell in the temple, brought by Chimaji Appa and the sound of the bell can be heard in many surrounding villages.The temple has very scenic location, you get the view of Satara, various Forts, valley, mountains, etc.There is amazingly beautiful plateau called as Banda Plateau, near the temple make sure to visit that too.

Holy and peace place. Ancient Temple of Lord Mahadev. There is a plateau on the very top named as banda plateau and the veiw from here is good. You can see kanher dam from the plateau....but the road in the ghat till the temple is in very very bad. condition....should keep in mind.

Its a Pandav era temple on top of a mountain. It has scenic beauty around it. Restoration work is in progress and make take some time to complete. It has a huge bell within the temple which has a Cross engraved on it, seems it was snatched from a church of the English at the time. It has Gai mukh (stone structure assembling a cow face) near the entrance with water flowing through out the year. The same water is used for drinking purposes even today.

Located between Anewadi and Medha, on a 1000 met tall hill is this ancient temple. Mr Sakhare is the Guruji and Sarpanch. A renovation is under way. Thousands flock to this hilltop on Shravani Somwars. Cars can go right upto the Fort like temple. The road is ok, as good as any interior roads
