It is located on the way to moolamattom town from ashoka kavala it is less famous compared to the other competitors nearby who provides health care services it has enough infrastructure and parking lot and located in a peaceful atmosphere. It has got a pain and palliative wing as well.

But with the emergence of Idukki Hydro Electric Project it has secured a prominent place in the map of India.The underground power station here is one of the marvels of engineering, and is the main producer of electricity for the state. In the 1970’s this small town was a busy place teeming with life. Thousands of people from all over the country toiled and sweated day and night for the completion of the power station. This sudden growth of population created many problems.The most important of them was the lack of medical facilities. Realising the need of the hour, the Sisters of the Sacred Heart Congregation, Pala Province, rose to the occasion, and established a charitable institution named after the then Bishop of Pala. Thus the Bishop Vayalil Medical Center took shape and was formally inaugurated on 21st October 1978. This seedling has grown in to a mighty tree spreading its branches giving care, consolation and comfort to the sick, both rich and poor, regardless of caste or creed.

This a Good hospital in a place far from city life. Perfect climate without any pollution. This hospital is know for its alcohol de-addiction center. Dedicated Nuns and staff run the hospital. Prayers and counseling are part of the treatment.

It is the only big hospital with all the facilities. It is run by the secret heart congregation. Doctors are available for all sections. Mental health department is also available here. They are serving in a good manners. And the only hospital having that much bed capacity. 24/7 hours the hospital is available and there will be doctors for your care. And it is maintained well with equipment’s and there surroundings.

Hospital at its best ambience, misty winter and rainy days are outstanding.
