Simply wonderful food! All amazing and vegan, which is terrific since vegetarian sushi is usually bland. Youll be hard-pressed to find a better spot around! Great for a date night!

Amazing vegan(vegetarian) sushi restaurant in Montreal! The service was great, the restaurant itself is beautiful and the food is exceptional. My wife and I truly enjoyed the food. I want to highlight the Fuji Flambe and the Pan Fried Gyoza.

My friend had been raving about this place for a long time, and i thought he found it particularly good because he is vegetarian. I finally tried it yesterday and it was the best sushi in Mtl vegan or not, and some of the best sushi Ive ever eaten (though i have not eaten sushi in Japan yet). We got a bunch of different kinds. The three mushroom ones, sweet potato and jalapeno, mango, California, and the Mumbai, and some edamame. They were all amazing but my favorites were the Mumbai, sweet potato/jalapeno, the mango, the California and one of the mushroom ones, which is most of them. But they were really all delicious!We werent able to get a reservation because it was fairly last min on a Friday night, and didnt want to wait so just ordered take-out.

Surprisingly amazing! Interesting and creative menu. Everything we tried was really good, my favorite was the avocat frits. I highly recommand.

Sushi Momo is definitely my fav vegan sushi place! I usually go to their takeout counter Komomo, but the real Sushi Momo restaurant is a must-visit too.I got the Omakase set menu which included edamame, oyster mushroom shooter, miso soup, soba mango salad, 6 different types of sushi, and matcha cake. The food is tasty, filling, and beautifully presented. Not cheap but so worth it. 10/10 would recommend!

This place should have 5 starts! Hands down. What an amazing dining experience from beginning to end. The food was incredible followed up with remarkably attentive service. It was wonderful watching this uber professional staff work together as a team to make sure dinner went off without a hitch!We sat at the bar and highly recommend it! I wish I got the bartenders name (who was also our server) because his poise and service deserves it’s own shout out!Anyways, if you want to have one of the best dining experiences in Montreal head over! We can’t wait to go back.

Interesting to Try! 💥It was our first experience to try a full vegan sushi place, and it was very interesting!We ordered several items including the full formule with soup, appetizers and desserts.✅The sushi was very fresh and full of flavour with a very similar texture toreal fish.❎The miso soup wasn’t really that great, and the mushroom “oyster” appetizer was very small.We enjoyed the service, Fatima our waitress was very friendly and the outdoor patio is well set.I personally would still prefer to go for fish-based sushi but this one is an amazing alternative for anyone who wants to go for a more plant-based option. 🌱

They really put the love into their flavors and presentation.First time with their takeout counter. They were very professional and had everything well prepared for pickup. My favourite vegan sushi place hands-down, it now surpasses even my old normal sushi spots! Original and flavourful rolls, even with delivery. A bit pricier than normal sushi, but well worth it, especially for those fried gyozas.

I was very skeptic of Sushi Momo.Generally, I think vegan food is the best when its not pretending to be something else. Being an omnivore with no dietary restrictions who loves sushi, I wasnt sure what to expect.We ordered the chefs choice omakase. Little starter of a oyster mushroom shooter, soba noodle salad to share, plate of 20pcs to share, and dessert. None of the elements disappointed, no complaints start to finish.Though I wouldnt say it tasted like a smoked salmon roll or typical dragon eye, the rolls were delicious. Amazing flavours and the textures were perfect. The Mumbai was my least favourite as curry is not a spice I am particularly fond of, but it was still good.Our waitress was lovely. Overall an awesome experience and I would recommend to vegans and non vegans alike.

Sushi Momo is one of those rare fine-dining places that hits all three targets : quantity, quality, and pricing. The recipes and presentation are original, the staff is friendly. The music is perfect as an ambience, without being overbearing. Highly recommend.

I came on vacation a couple years ago and glad that they’re still open! My friends ordered the sushi boat combo experience and I were BLOWN away by how the chess understood, conceptualices, and executed using different vegetable textures and flavour combos to create really deliciosos sushi. I couldn’t even tell it was vegetarian, taste just like sushi, if not better. The prices were fairly reasonable as well.

This is my favourite place in the entire world. The food is INCREDIBLE and creative and beautiful. The staff are kind, helpful, and enthusiastic. I wish we could have eaten the entire menu. We ordered 10 items and not one was a miss. Second time at sushi momo in 2 years and we didnt eat sushi in between because we knew nothing would compare.

Great vegan/vegetarian substitutes! Appetizers and sushi were excellent. Would recommend the gyoza and jackfruit roll. We had a reservation and dined indoors. Ambiance of the space was welcoming and they made sure to follow COVID protocols. Waitress took time to describe each roll before we ate. Awesome birthday dinner!

The food deserves 5 starts, but the amount of time they take deserves 2. This is, to me, the best vegan sushi in the city. The flavours are exquisite and the ingredients are always fresh. It keeps me coming back, despite the wait time for food being an eternity. (especially if you order deliver… don’t believe the estimated time)

Amazing and tasty sushi! Even if you are not vegan, you will enjoy these sushi. Such innovative taste palettes using different ingredients. We took the platter with all chefs choices. It came with an appetizer and dessert. Be aware to tell the staff any allergies. I especially loved the mushroom roll.

I was initially skeptical of vegetarian sushi but this restaurant changed my mind. My friends and I were there for lunch and had an amazing time at the restaurant. The same recommended by our server was amazing. ( Still trying to figure out the name) the sushis were on point and price vs quantity ratio was great. I would definitely recommend anyone in the area checking this restaurant out.

We got the dinner for 5 and it came with 3 appetizers, 10-12 different kinds of sushi, and desert.I will definitely be going back for the next big celebration!

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! The restaurant decor is tasteful and classy, the servers were great, and the food was absolutely out of this world. We had the oyster mushroom shooter, the beet tartare, a mix of popular rolls, and the matcha cake. I don’t believe any of it could be better if they tried! Love love love!

Cant say much about this place. The food is always great! My girlfriend and I go to Momo on special occasions outings. Its always amazing. This time we ordered take out due to Covid. I was a bit worried we wouldnt have the same experience because the food was sitting on a counter for a little while. Well, we werent disappointed. We took the food to the park across the street and eagerly opened up the bag then gently placed the food on the bench between us. So good, so fresh, so awesome, every time.

Unique completely vegetarian sushi offering. This is a great option when with vegetarian and vegan friends, but I don’t think I’d come here otherwise. I still give this place 5 stars for their service, and atmosphere but most of all, their creativity in creating unique sushi and maki without any fish. I found some of this dishes tasted a little “too plant based” but I suppose that’s a dumb comment for a vegetarian restaurant.

Easily my best vegan meal so far! Never thought it was possible to make sushi, a cuisine based mainly on FISH, taste this GOOD without its main ingredient! Miso soup was well flavored, green papaya salad and fried gyoza were super tasty, sushi rolls were out of this world and the desert were just the right portions to end the meal with!

This was literally the best meal I have ever had. The lobster rolls were absolutely phenomenal, being able to eat here literally felt like an honour, everything was so delicious.

It’s my first time eating in a vegetarian sushi bar, and the experience was great!My friend and I ordered a meal set for 2 ($30 per person, taxes not included). We had miso soup, an appetizer, 25 sushi rolls, and desserts, and they all tasted good.Tho sushi rolls are vegetarian, I don’t feel like I’m eating vegetables. (By the way, I am a carnivore. I love eating meat so much.) Sushi is well seasoned, and has different textures. The dessert ice cream is good too. I ain’t sure what flavor it is, maybe jasmine or else.In sum, it’s a very satisfying meal. My friend and I enjoyed it a lot.

We walked in and we were lucky enough that they just had a cancelation. The restaurant is very cute, the decor makes you feel like youre in a nice ship. We had one of their nice cold sake that was recommended by the server. We ordered from the side menu that had a soup and desert included (EVERYTHING IS VEGAN) I mean, its pretty innovative to run a successful all vegan sushi restaurant. The flavors were AMAZING. My partner and I will definitely return. I encourage everyone to make a reservation and try this amazing restaurant.

I guess my expectation was too high. Wasn’t awesome as I expected, but was still nice. Most dishes were quite too sweet an salty for me. But overall, was fine and that green papaya salad was great. Also, people serving there were kind.

We went on a Wednesday night with reservation, and Im glad we booked since the restaurant got full way before 7pm. So reservations are recommended. Their sushi taste AMAZING with surprising combination of ingredients and flavours. Weve returned to Sushi Momo so many times since our first visit - even brought friends too and they loved it!

I give 4 stars because the place can use a little bit of touching up, I like the old rustic look but maybe a little bit of polishing it up can do it justice. Aside from that, the food is really tasty and a vegans paradise. In fact it’s so good, I’m sure a none vegan will enjoy it as much as anyone else. I highly recommend it! Can’t wait to go back!

Ive been here a couple of times, it tastes so amazing. We get the Omakase for Two, its a menu for two people and we always have extras. Their desserts are also great.

The food was amazing, everything was spot on with the flavours. Great environment and ambiance! However, the waitress that was in charge of our table (blonde hair, short bangs) was too chatty, flirtatious and she would talk about herself a lot and it made us uncomfortable so much so that we left early and took our dessert in a to-go box. She refilled one cup but not the other cup. When she was talking over the table, she would face one person and talk to them only as if the other person on the table didn’t exist. That’s very rude and disrespectful. Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of your beautiful restaurant and I have been coming here since your first tiny location and I don’t want to stop visiting you but this kind of service really ruins the whole vibe.

This place is worth the hype and totally amazing. We got the tasting plates with all their favourites and it was absolute delicious.One of the best vegan / restaurants I have ever been to. Warm cozy vibe, huge selection of awesome vegan sushi (the lobster one was a fav and the maitaki mushroom tempura as an app is too good), and the g&ts were delicious too. This is a nice place for a date or to hang out with friends. Not cheap but the quality is good and the decor is so inviting.

My wife is vegetarian and loved this place so much she wanted to go back two days later. I usually eat vegetarian, though not always, and thought the food was really good. We got the set meal for two; the miso, papaya salad, gyoza, and sushi were all very good. It was busy on a Thu night, so its best to make a reservation.

Out of this world vegan sushi. The best I have ever had. Flew all the way to Montreal from NYC to try Sushi Momo and to explore the vegan food scene here. I am beyond amazed...everything on the menu is so creative and all the flavors so exquisitely paired together. Presentation is glorious, the excitement begins once the plate is brought to the table and you just marvel at the beauty in front of you. They offer gluten free options and the servers are great about asking if you have any allergies. Loved the people working here, they are happy, full of life and enthusiasm for what they do and for providing some of the best food in North America! You must make reservations as this place is THE place and you want to make sure you get a seat. Merci Momo Sushi for the extraordinary experience.

Of all the cities to try vegan sushi in, Montreal feels right. A quick look at the vegan options on offer highlighted several choices, and ultimately me and a friend decided to try out Sushi Momo. The restaurants decor is well done, and dinner felt busy but calm, with lots of plants and a discernible separation from outside once youre in the restaurant.We werent too hungry whilst ordering, so opted for 4 different rolls. Each roll was exquisitely prepared, and featured a variety of textures. Making comparisons to fish-based sushi was inevitable, but Sushi Momo delivered in taste and made sure to make each bite as texturally varied as possible. Additions such as a coriander and jalapeno emulsion elevated the maki even more, and upon finishing our meal, we were happy about how light the meal felt.Overall, Sushi Momo was a great experience, and I would return to sample more of their innovative creations.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. I food is OUTSTANDING! I dont know how the chef comes up with this stuff, but its good. Ive only gone once, but I was given a complimentary side dish for it being my first time. Take my money!

Good food, not exactly real sushi because there is no fish. They get very creative with their flavours and ingredients because there’s no fish. It’s very expensive and they take much longer than normal sushi to prepare, but overall, if u accept that there’s no real fish, it’s a nice and good quality meal.

I waited more than a year after learning about this place to try it... only because I live 6 hours away. It did not disappoint! We had the meal for 2 and it was delicious, there was nothing that I didn’t enjoy. The sushi (thankfully) isn’t “mock seafood”, but instead just amazing food combinations you don’t typically find in sushi restos. Even the green tea was exceptional. Service was great as well, very knowledgeable staff. I need a location to open in Toronto!!

I went here with my non-veg parents, who were very hesitant but to make me happy went anyway with me. We were seated quite quickly, however, the service took a bit long, we got the platter for 3 people and the sushi recommended by the chef, we got steamed and fried gyozas, and also the miso soup. The miso soup was served right away and shortly the gyozas, however the platter for the sushi took quite a while to come out, i was hoping to have fried ice cream here but found out they removed that. The papaya salad was also good. I did not like their cake . I liked everything i ate, however, i am giving it a 4/5 for my parents portion of the review, whom they said they were pleasantly surprised with the taste of the sushi but did feel it was missing a bit of flavor a few of the rolls.

This used to be another restaurant called La Fabrique. The decoration slightly changed with a few Japanese themed murals and hanging pots. We were 3 and tried the tasting menu for 3 (which came about $30/ each). The plates were a hit or miss, some I really liked and some less. A lot of basil reduction sauce and beets incorporated.

Soooooo good. I wasnt sure what to expect with vegan sushi but I was blown away. We got a dozen or so types of rolls and every single one was a totally unique flavourbomb. Only complaint is the delivery zone is too small!

When you think vegetarian sushi, you might be thinking a salad rolled in rice. This isnt the case at Momo Sushi. Every roll has the uniqueness and flavor of an entire dish. Theyre intricately made with different ingredients, playing with textures and taste. If Id have to eat at one place for the rest of my life it would be Momo.

Dont let the lack of decorations not the gloomy front not the basement style and the small space confuse you.This place has with no doubt THE BEST SUSHI I EVER TASTED! Total amanzing . You cant go back to regular sushi after that.Have I mentioned that is all vegetarian?! Yes!

It did take 1 hour to be served. We dont complain because we know what its like to work service. That said waiters were on us the entire hour, serving water and eyeing us they wrote merci beaucoup on our receipt so they knew something was up. Amazing service, great atmosphere, great food. They have combos but we did a la carte, and it can turn out a better deal unless you want the desert and soup. Highlights were: papaya salad, fuji flambé gunkan, 3 champignons, umeshiso and asperge tempura small roll. Service is really good but the place is always packed so you MUST reserve in advance. Lots of people were getting turned away at the door. Komomo 2 doors down has the same menu for takeout, thankfully.

Vegan sushi sounds so blah until you try Momo! We got the tasting menu and everything was so inventive. It was also tons of food (appetizers are included with the tasting) and I was pleasantly surprised with my bill at the end of the night. Would absolutely go back.
