The food is delicious here and affordable. The noodles are handmade and they taste so fresh. Its the best noodles I had in an Asian dish. I like that there are also side dishes you can choose from. We got the braised beef and it was very flavorful. We also had the scallion pancakes and it was perfect. I ordered the braised beef soup, it was so good. The meat was very tender and the soup was well-seasoned. This is definitely a place to go back to!

Fresh pulled noodles right to order. The soup is decent. Slightly rich and beefy. Compared to the other spots the area, there are better alternatives available for the price. However this place is the foundation, its what is expected with this style of soup.

I came here to try their pulled noodle soups. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was directed to my seat right away. Glass of water was served instantly at the seating. There seemed to only be one server, and she was fast and attentive consider the amount of customers that were at the restaurant. The menu had a good basic selection of Chinese noodle soups.I was recommended this noodle place, and after trying it I was a bit disappointed it wasnt as good as described to me. The soup was average in taste and lacks that umami flavour I crave in noodle soups. The hand pulled noodles were fresh but not the best skills were put into the the art of noodle making. Noodle strands varied in sizes significantly. There was little chew to the noodles - its texture is closer to well-done Korean instant noodles. Overall just ok and standard for noodle soup.

Good place for something quick and cheap. This restaurant is located in the basement of a building. There is street parking along both sides and the entrance to the restaurant is from the streets. They offer a small menu but have extremely quick service. They have really cheap side dishes that are pretty good. Their noodle dishes here are ok.All noodles are freshly made everyday. You can see the chefs make your noodle through the open kitchen.Their dumplings are pretty good. Hot and freshly steamed when ordered.Overall, decent place

This is the place where we go when we feel for soup and noodles. The broth is always good. I would like to have more vegetables on the plate but I guess that is the style. I like that you can see the preparation of the noodles and you can see the kitchen. For the aesthetic part, the place miss maintenance, if you look the plafond or the walls are not clean. That why I give 4 stars. We go for the tasty broth.

Such a comforting meal, especially on a cold rainy day! This restaurant was recommended by my friend and since then, it has been our go-to spot! The noodles are handmade so you can definitely count on them for the freshness! The cooking process is interesting to watch. This place is located in a big basement so it is like a hidden cocoon. You get peace of mind while enjoying a nice bowl of noodles! 🍜

The hand pulled noodles here are great. Weve been a few times over a couple years and the quality has remained consistent. The service is efficient and it is a pleasure to watch the noodles being stretched and made. There isnt many vegetarian options with the pulled noodles, but thats ok. What they do offer is delicious.

The service was very nice and I wasnt sure what to order so I asked for a recommendation. She gave me a few ideas and I picked the bbq beef udon which was an amazing choice. She made sure I was happy with what I ordered coming by a couple of times but was never intrusive.---The noodles were amazing, thick and full of taste. The broth was also very good. High quality broth from what I tasted. The vegetables added a nice soothing taste and feel to the soup. Especially the cucumber which surprised me when I saw and tasted it.---When I do come back I will be sure to try different soup/noodle.I highly recommend this restaurant if youre looking for an amazing soup in Chinatown Montreal.

So pleasantly surprised by this place! Their chicken ramen bowl, so so good! Im very picky with chicken, and their pulled chicken didnt have that strong unseasoned taste which I often stumble upon in restaurants. It was tender and flavourful. I also couldnt get enough of the broth and the noodles! I also had their entrees (cant recall the name) which was a nice, cripsy onion flake. The restaurant itself is nothing special, very basic, but clean! You should try this place if you want good, fresh noodles!

Great customer service! And you can see everything they make! Their handpulled noodles are amazing & they have a glass window so you can see them pulling the noodles while you eat. Very entertaining! In the pic, my bf got the chicken noodle soup. He actually wanted the braised beef noodle soup, but we misordered the dish, so that was our fault. But they were very kind, they switched out the chicken soup for the braised beef since it wasnt too busy at the time. The beef soup was amazing. Very strong beef flavor yet so luscious & satisfying at the same time. The beef just melts in our mouth. I got the lunch special 5 min right before 3:30 which is the time that the lunch special ends. They could have easily said no but they didnt. I had the pork bbq dry noodles & it came with seaweed soup. It was amazinggg, loved the soup. Yummmmmyyy. The meat was delicious. It came with a hoisin sauce mixture to coat the noodles. The dumplings were good. It came with a soysauce vinegar dipping sauce. Overall, we were satisfies with our meal and the service provided. We will definitely come again!.

I agree with DDaviDVD, just so you guys know the restaurant was sold and the new owners significantly deteriorate the quality of the food . Waterdown broth, tasteless beef, onion pancake with very little onion. Go to Lanzhou Noodle (near G&D market) across the street for the real experience!

The noodles were good, but the portions are too small, especially considering the price. A bowl is not enough even for my 14-year old son. Also the braised beef soup flavor was good but again meat portion was not enough and the meat was also a bit chewy. I’m from New York City so I may be spoiled with better food at cheaper prices but they should be able to do better than this.

Excellent homemade noodles in a simple, no frills setting. Go for the food, but not the ambiance.I had the wonton soup and my friend had the soup with the braised beef shank - both were awesome. The staff were nice, though not overly attentive. Also be warned! They dont serve alcohol. Will definitely go back for some delicious handmade noodles!N.B. The soup was quite similar to what they offer at the other place that does homemade noodles (Lanzhou) but with no wait and a big quiet space to enjoy your meal in.

Came here for breakfast on my last day in Montreal with my wife and a few friends. The food here is great. It‘s a hidden gem. The service is friendly and nice, the food portions are big and the soups tastet amazing. They also have a Chinese chef who manes noodles in the traditional way live and you can watch. I personally like that it is not as overcrowded as this big restaurant that also makes hand pulled noodles on the other street side. The NUDO might not be as famous as the other restaurant but just as good, possibly even better.

Great restaurant, you can literally see them making fresh, non frozen noodles as youre waiting for your order. Not that you have to wait long! Two amazing noodle soups, we just had to share so that we both got a taste of more thinst on the menu. We also had a scallion pancake, my goodness it was so delicious. I want to get a pile of them, and the prices there would make that feasible. My only complaint is that two days later, when we went to return (with empty but eager stomachs) they were closed for renovation. And there is not enough of a web presence to find this out in advance. But food, service, and cleanliness are top notch! 🍜

Since their “renovation” back in Dec, price went up over 10%, food quantity was noticeably reduced (less noodles, less meat, less vegetables... LITERALLY one piece of bokchoy), soups base tastes different (not as good as before... overdose of MSG and Salt), noodle quality is also not as good (not as uniformely “pulled” as before).Owner definitely “double whammy” on increasing price and reducing quantity. Used to be a great place to have a nice bowl of soups noodle, but now... very mediocre for the price they charge and the taste you get. Will choose other soups noodle place in the future as first options on Chinatown moving forward. This place used to be a 5 stars for me... not max 2-3.

So good! The dry noodles are good but the broths of the soups are out of this world. They have a velvety mouthful indicating that theyve been cooking for days on end. SO GOOD! The noodles are hand-pulled and theres plexiglass at the kitchen so you can watch. Meats are beautifully cut to endure all the best bits are in there. Service is friendly but spotty because there are three waitresses only and the packed when we got there. Food comes very quickly and piping hot. Go. You wont regret it.
