Enjoyed the vistas. but despite the historical and cultural richness Moirang is famous for Moirang bazar lacks in basic infrastructure. Its a bit conjested, hasnt enough parking space, road isnt that good, although some developmental works can be seen. looking forward to seeing the Moirang i hoped for.

Moirang bazaar is the fifth most crowded and popular city of Manipur besides Imphal bazaar, Kakching bazaar, Thoubal bazaar and Lilong bazaar. It lies 45 km. far away from Imphal. Most of the day to day use particles are found here. It is located 24.50 latitude and 93.775 longitude. From here the Moirang Sandra tourist goes a little and a little far near from the Keibul lamjao national Park. Here the God name as Ibudhou Thangjing Temple is located at Moirang.

One of the most important town in Manipur, surrounded by Loktak lake and beautiful scenery.

Moirang is about 45 kms. from Imphal and is a very sacred place for the Manipuri people. It holds an ancient temple of the pre-Hindu deity, Lord Thangjing. The flag of the Indian National Army was first hoisted here on April 14, 1944. There is also an Indian National Army Museum depicting their struggle for India’s independence. The museum is open from 8 A.M. to 6 P.M.

Its a market related to the legendary folktale of Manipur, Khamba thoibi....and one can shop for indeginous foods and traditional items etc.

Very disappointed, the road that cross heart of Moirang market is full of potholes that may claims human lives. I really wonder how such a condition is available here, what the present government and moirang Municipal Council is doing, really really disappointing.

A small market area in the town of Moirang in Manipur. Moirang is famous as the place where the Indian National Army hoisted the Tricolour for the first time on Indian Soil. Near to the market, there is a INA memorial and museum. Also nearby is the site of the ancient Moirang Kingdom. Loktak lake is just a few kilometres away.

The market place is a bit crowded, it need more spaces. The availability of things could have been better. The price of clothing are very cheap.

A great little hub for fresh local produce and cheap second hand clothing (if youre up for a rummage). Purchased a top, pants and a jacket for only 50 rupees each!

Transportation is also very good as vehicles are available all throughout the day connecting all major towns.Its also near to INA museum, Loktak lake(the largest fresh water lake in NE India) and Keibul Lamjao national park. Nice place to visit for tourists.

There is no place to park cars. And nothing much to buy but you can buy fish from the Loktak
