ஆங்கிலத்தில் எழுதுவதற்கு மன்னிக்கவும்.This was the highlight and surprise of our entire rush rush trip.Before i begin, want to highlight the fact that the name of the temple is wrongly mentioned. The temple name is Shri Vadivulla mangai samedha Sri Varageeswarar Temple.The goddess name is such a wonderful and beautiful name in Tamil.We reached the marriage hall, and didnt know that there is such a wonderful temple here.As we were starting our rush rush trip from chennai, we were kind of jittery and nervous because normally we visit one temple atleast in each trip, but this time it was planned to be a rush rush and hence no temple visits.But then the ways of God is different. He made sure he would be there for us here, so close to the marriage hall.Temple dates back to 13 to 14th century as per the temple priest here. Temple is definitely nice, neat and clean. Even though it looks renovated, they have taken care to keep the old structures.Temple faces west, Lord Varageeswarar faces west. Ambal Shri Vadivulla Mangai faces west. A small rajagopuram present and faces west. Temple pond present and infront of the temple.Though we couldnt worship the goddess Vadivulla Mangai, we had the aarti darshan of Lord Varageeswarar. So wonderful it was.The priest wanted to close the temple, but they were kind enough to wait for us to finish singing Sivapuranam inside the temple premises.Definitely worth a visit, if you are in this area. We too are planning to visit this temple probably in morning time, to see the beauty of the temple, construction and the temple pond.Since it was night, the photographs are of very poor quality. Considered to be built by Pandya kings hundreds of years ago this VARAGEESWARAR and VADIVULLA MANGAI temple is peaceful. There is a small pond, pradhosha nandhi and Vinayagar under Neem + Arasa marams. Brahma and Saneeswaran also have separate idols. Kalabhairavar, Dakshinamoorthy, Muruga, Panchalingams bless us too!
