Workers in this store are very rude. I never see them wear mask. Everything are expensive now. Most of our family members stop going there. Hours of operation are short. Definitely they lost my business and others.

Unprofessional service and terrible customer service. Every time we have gone shopping their for meat or anything, there is always a 20-30 minute wait. One time we went to look for a type of vegetable (loti) which they store in the freezer. The shelf was empty so I had asked them if they had any in stock. They said that they would get it but it would take 10 minutes because they had to finish chopping meat and fish for other customers. 10 minutes later, the cashier went and came back to say hes unable to get it or reach it. He asked me to wait for 10 more minutes. He told me to continue shopping and they would have the shelf restocked. 20 minutes passed until they said theyre unable to get the vegetable for me.Every time we had gone there to purchase meat, it was always a long wait. We patiently wait, while they continue to take and process new customers orders. A couple of times they gave us old meat.This week I asked for certain amount of ground meat and instead of weighing it to make sure I agree to purchase that portion, they proceeded to give me a receipt of $178. (After waiting for 20 minutes.) They asked for a tip of any amount Im comfortable with. At this point, I hadnt paid for the meat and told them that I wasnt aware of the price. I asked them to lessen the amount and they persisted to tell me that they can only take 5 lbs back. I told them that they should have weighed it for me to see the price as they have done so in the past. They insisted that they gave me more meat than they had charged me for. Then more men from the back came and started arguing with me. One in particular who was aggressive in his tone. It felt like they were taking advantage of the fact that I am young and not a regular customer, as they increased the price by 2 times more than what they used to charge. Finally, after a lot of back and forth they lessened the portion and lowered the cost. Going forward, I will not be giving this store any business!

What a little treasure!! If youre from Eastern India or Bangladesh this is a place you want to go shopping for groceries and more on a regular basis. The lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful and so was the shop owner. We werent hurried at all and could look around and see everything they had on offer. Plus they made sure we felt valued and knew they wanted to build a relationship and not just have a one time customer.

They are quite responsive to your phone calls. And also have a good spread of Bengali and Bangladeshi items available in the West End

This place is one of the favorites. Though the fishes are frozen, but taste like taken directly from water. Meat quality is also good. The Bengali vegetables remind me of home.A good range of quality groceries.

I bought an extremely big fish and they said they would cut it, They told me to continue my groceries. A few minutes later they were done cutting it. It felt a bit light but i didnt really think anything about it. When i got home i realized they replaced my fish with smaller/cheaper fish. I paid $70 for my fish, I got fish thats worth $10. LIke are they trying to scam us? This place is the worst place. First of all they scam you, And they overcharge for everything. I hope people are aware of what they are doing. Please stop doing what you are doing, You scammers.

What a great place to shop for Indian and Bengali food and spices! This grocery store is open for in-person shopping during this Covid environment.I started cooking some Indian dishes a few years ago. Now my small stock of spices was running low. Well, this was a great place to stock up on so many spices. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And they all wore masks. Prices are very reasonable.I grabbed a very tasty chicken patty for lunch on the way out. The manager was kind enough to heat it up for me.

This is a very clean Bangladeshi grocery store selling chicken, meat, fish, fresh vegetables and all sorts of the other grocery items. The store is fairly well organized. There is ample parking outside. The store associates are very helpful. If you live in North York, Mississauga, Etobicoke, etc this is a much closer option than going to Danforth to shop.

Bangladeshi shop for Bengali spices, grocery, sweets, fish, meat etc. I am really fond of their nolen gurer sondesh though few items feel like overpriced.

When I initially started visiting this store I was really impressed with the varaity and availability of different Indian/Bangladeshi products. But then gradually I understood not all items are good/quality product. Specially goat meet and hilsha has disappointed me in a great deal. Regular fishes like Rohu, Katla are okay. Also all the products are a bit over priced. So overall it is okay not overwhelming.

Quality and variety of fish are the only reasons for which one should go to Taj Mahal. Everything else is unnecessarily high priced, quality of meat (goat meat) is not consistent at all, few days the meat is tender and good, and few days the meat is simply terrible.

One of my most favourite Bangladeshi Grocery stores. Even though it is not as big as I wish it was. But, it definitely has all the necessities. The Sweets section is wonderful. Their Red Meat is definitely on the pricier end than most other Butchers but the Red Meat is a much better quality.

I found this place a bit overpriced compared to other Indian/Bangladeshi/Pakistani grocery stores. The frozen fish section, vegetables and meat section needs more cleanliness.

I just went to shop special fish and purchased some sweets, it was a good visit but found prices are higher than the competitors.

You get certain Bangladeshi things here, which you cannot get anywhere nearby Mississauga. But, the meat section is a mixed bag. You never truly know what you are getting.

For all your mostly Bangladeshi and South Asian affairs. Their meat and fish section could use some improvement.The store is organized well and lot cleaner than what it was under the previous ownership.The owners are great people and I really hope they turn this place around.

The service is too bad. We drove All way from Hamilton. We are looking for Bangladeshi fish, we looking all around, asked for help, The man there having tea and pointed us there are all fishes, Than he walked in the back. We spent 20 minutes, but couldn’t find what we are looking for. We are very disappointed. Never going New Taj Mahal again.

The store is good. We went there few times.However, the meat sections one of the employee always does wrong thing. There is a old guy, he writes wrong price (more price than the list price) in our price list everytime and later it needs to be fixed when we pay the bills at the cashier.Recently, we found that we paid for large duck but he gave us small duck which was 3 pounds less than the bigger one. This is only one example. I think he does intentionally.Nobody likes arguments each time. So, I think I would go somewhere else from now on.

I have lots of things talking about New Taj Mahal Foods. We bought a rice bag of 40lb, salim brand which is orangish color, and found it has rice insects inside and beause its so heavy we took some time to take to the store. so when we were returning cause we cant eat the rice anymore cause it looks like it has rotten and with full of insects, they didnt want to believe. So they first find the insects actually then they asked us how much we used from that 40 lb. so they measured and charged that 9lb of rice and then refund us rest. My question is if a store sell rotten or unhygienic product with insects, every shop owner should refund full money. we were so upset that we couldnt say much.Also they sell fish without cleaning properly specially the skin. every other shop who offer service to cut and clean they first clean the skin of fish and inside. This is why we dont buy fish from there cause it took us long time to clean the fish at home as we dont have equipment plus we both work.we are very upset with their service . And they should not sell rotten and unhygienic product. Govt. should check this store thoroughly to give them licence.

Decent place for Indian groceries. Much better bargain on spices than anywhere else. The fish, particularly the ones imported from Bengal are great. They also have a ready-made section for takeaways, and the dishes are made home-style for those who grew up with those flavours

My go to.Fresh meats and desi fish.They have cooked food on weekends which is always tasty, a little pricey though but tasty.

Since the new Management take over, the quality of service improved drastically. A great place to go for Bengali Authentic Grocery items. River water fish from Bangladesh, Halal Beef, Chicken, Mutton and Duck also available.

I got Bangladeshi fish there.

I was there last week. there is the grocery store, the halal meat counter and they have made a separate take-out food counter. grocery store is pretty standard desi grocery store, nothing special. but the take-out was simply awesome. is only 3-4 dishes on offer for $5 - $6 each. the lady filled it up all the way and more and the food was super tasty and spicy. i think i got like 6 meals out of that for 20 dollars. 5 stars for cheap take-out, you get really tasty good food.

Always love doing my Desi groceries from here. Lots of frozen fish and vegetable option. Star take out is an added portion which is helpful for quick ready to eat food. Every one is nice and polite. sales rep Arif is a good sales person to deal with.

Only Bangladeshi grocery in that area. For primarily Bangladeshi customers who want spices and veggies from there. prices are good. They also have Mexican mangoes which see pretty sweet. They also sell take away lunch/ dinner cooked Bangladeshi style.

I went to shop bengali special items from North York to Mississauga after checking review but I dont feel that worth it. You will get varieties of fish there and taste was also good. But other items are costly and I tried date palm molasses and sweets. None of them are good at all.

Apart from these two other varity of fishes can be found frozen and packaged. Different types of halal meat is available. All types Indian/Bangladeshi groceries can be found. Sweet dishes like kalo jam, chomchom, rosogolla, doi are awesome!This is a must go place for all Bengali people staying in Mississauga or Toronto.
