Got my food packed yesterday from them and I found insects( jhingar) in the food be careful while eating their food as they dont cover the daal so unhygienic not expected this from this place .DISGUSTING !!

Its a very known place famous for its Daal. I have ordered Masala kulcha, plain Naan, daal makni and Afghani Chap. The chap was very tasty, the pieces were well coated with masalas and tender also...

My breakdown for this restaurant would be like this :Foods Taste : 5 starHygiene : 3 starPrice : 3starQuantity : 2.5But for me taste is the most important factor so i gave it a 4 but if you prioritise hygiene or quantity then i would not recommend it to you.

Papa ji special dal is awesome and fingers licking taste. Alu pyaj paratha with amul butter was awesome.

Had the special Papa ji Daal (urad & chana) with exquisite khoya aloo matar. Ordered Butter naan along with that & special raita. Overall its a must visit to every Dal(gourmet) lover. Loved the price too as it wasnt overpriced for such a fine taste.Would give full marks for food but expected a little sincerity towards safety & best practices in the times of Corona as the staffs there hadnt worn mask while seving food on the table which was simply non-negotiable!!

Food was good, no doubt about it. But I am giving 1 star as I had ordered food via Zomato on 15th. After speaking with the owner, confirmed the quantity was less for 4 people, so asked him to send extra food and did payment to Zomato delivery executive. However when packet was opened, found the quantity was less as otherwise agreed. After calling the owner back, owner agreed to send back extra amount via UPI, but no money has been received nor the owner is picking the call

Very good taste of Papaji Dal wale, but ambience, serving etiquette are poor ,and some other items not have money 💸 value, they serving butter naan very small and poor quality. Have to improve1. Good quality ambience2. Good quality serving etiquette s3. Value for money in other items

Dont know what they sell from 1948. I ordered Malai Kofta on the restaurant and as you can see in the photo this doesnt look like Malai Kofta. They sent some kofta made from bread pieces in a commonly prepared panner dish gravy. Taste wise it was typical Punjabi flavoured but not what one would like to eat from here. They provided me with wrong dish. They dont deserve a 4 star rating. Please be careful before you order from here. Typical dhaba preparation of food using the same gravy.

Worst food, very unhygienic place, papaji dak ek dum bakwaas. Also quantity is quite less as prices. Sitting place very unhygienic. Paneer butter masala and dal papaji which i ordered today, i am damn sure that road side food is much better and much hygienic than papaji dal wala food.

Came here taking a detour from my way to meerut. Was expecting a lipsmacking daal but was extremely disappointed. Roti was good , paneer was fine as well but the thing called udad chana daal spoiled the whole experience .

I went to this place today after looking at a lot of positive reviews, so here is my review:From a legacy point of view this place definitely scores high as the current owners are the third generation from this family running the restaurant.Coming to the setup, it is a typical dhaba set up. Dont keep your expectations high. You can get your small family here for an inexpensive dinner, but take away is a better option any day.On the taste, the dishes are not something out of this world. If you are from a typical punjabi family may be your grandmother can cook something similar or better. So all the reviews, where the person eats the daal and reacts as if he has eaten something totally out of the world, are exaggerated.Come here if you want to eat typical punjabi inexpensive food.

The service at the restaurant is bit slow, so I will recommend you to go to the Dhaba.Try their daal, khoya matar aloo, Missi roti. Most of the items tastes good.

Visited as a guest with my friends in the Papa Ji Daal Wale for lunch just today. We were entertaining friends from Delhi, and enjoyed tasty food. We chose to stay indoors - to enjoy the air conditioning 😊. I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had a delightful waitos, Kishan. He had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. He recognized that we wanted time to visit and did not rush us. He and other staff members made certain that we had everything we needed. Kudos!
