Wanted to order for delivery but the app was having errors so went to the store instead. I’m on crutches so needed to have it delivered but all they said they could do was bring the cases to my car. How am I supposed to carry them inside? Else, I have to call customer service for delivery. No apology, very matter of fact. What happened to customer service in the store?I have had no problem with this store before. But then again, I’d always just get what I want (6 bottles at most) and pay.

An ideal shopping experience. One sophisticated staff member helped me find the chardonnay I was looking for. Then, looking for a certain beer, another friendly staff member told me exactly where the beer was. Then I got directions to the rest room. When I came back from the rest room and passed that same staffer, she told me just where my wife was in the store! The final touch was the friendliness of the cashier, who took his time to make sure I got the best price available. Ill be back!

While this store has only wine and beer, it has a good selection of cigars as well as bar and drinks are. Join their rewards program for additional benefits. This is one of many locations in the area.

I love Total Wine and More. The enormous selection and the incredibly helpful staff make for a wonderful shopping experience every single time. While it is true that with such an enormous selection it can seem a bit overwhelming, all you need to do is ask a staff member for some direction and off you go to a beautiful and very eclectic and abundantly varied choice of wonderful wines. and everyone that has ever been suggested to me has always been thoroughly enjoyable. And Ive never had to pay more than I wanted to for a great bottle of wine.

Im a huge fan of this place, I cant believe Ive never been to one before. I came here to look for a bottle of wine as a gift. I gotta saw- I wasnt ready! I couldnt believe how big this place was and I think the staff saw it on my face. One of them stopped to ask if I needed any help - his name was Alan. He asked me a couple of questions and I ended up in the Bordeaux section. I walked up and down the aisle a couple times before I realized that the wine I picked is also one of his favorites. He stopped by and told me about it. Its called Clos Labarde St. Emilion. He also advised me to make sure I aerate it before drinking. I told him it was going to be a gift but Im going to pick another one for me to try. He then recommended another bottle which was actually cheaper than the one I picked, called Chateau Bois Redon. I also ended up picking up a nice Sparkling champagne called Rivata. So I was carrying three bottles (didnt get a basket since I thought I was just getting one bottle). Here comes Alan to the rescue with a basket! Hes so helpful. This place is such a delight. While standing at the register, I notice they have a humidor. Ill have to check that out with my husband next time.The Redon was ok, not to surprising because of the price but the Rivata was surprisingly delicious!! I am definitely coming back.

Almost worth a specific trek down from Montgomery County. Prices beat most anything local and theres a great selection.

I have a 30 minute drive to this location. So I called ahead to make sure they actually had what I was driving there for. Jon from Florida answered the phone. I explained what I was looking for. He got up and walked over to the aisle to confirm stock. Absolutely exceptional!Prices are about equal with MoCo MD. However they have things you cant get in MoCo. And doesnt have that FU tax bump we have over on this side of the river.

I just went to the store today (May 15), and on the front door there are signs that masks are required. No problem for me, but one customer refused to wear a mask, saying someone at the front desk said she didnt have to. Im very disappointed that Total Wine is not treating all its customers equally and allowing people to flout the rules they have established.

By far the best wine and beer store in the DMV, hands down!!!!!!!Massive selection of wine and beer from all corners of the world.Youll also find humorous greeting cards, wine and beer glasses, snacks, meats and cheese, etc.They even offer classes on wine and beer tasting and selection.

It seemed there were more employees there than customers and I found the isles to be fairly crowded (boxes/displays) and not easily able to social distance. One employee even bumped me (with no direct apologies, although a co-worker did apologize on the others behalf). Our check out person was super friendly and pleasant. But they had what I wanted, so all and all - it was good.

Excellent selection. Curbside pickup is super easy.

I love every total wine & more I go to. If you arent from VA, you should know that only wine and beer is sold here. You cannot buy Liquor/spirits here

It doesn’t make sense. You need an id for everyone you are with including children. Even if the children obviously looks like they are minors you need an id for them. My cousin couldn’t buy because I was there he is 23. Obviously I’m a minor but even if they check my id what would it change? This is stupid.

Its an amazing store for any wine connoisseur!

The McLean Total Wine has been my go-to for years. Not only is it easily accessible from multiple highway routes, but large in size and very helpful customer service. I can call in advance to confirm their website is correct about an item being in stock and they will run and check for me so I dont make a wasted trip. You can choose cart size before going in and they will provide boxes cor the alcohol. The only bad thing is due to the awesome selection, I almost always spend $300 every visit

My favorite wine store. Friendly and professional staffs. They handles all my online orders with a clock-like accuracy and kindness. Their wine collections are amazing. Prices are reasonable as well. Occasionally the store host wine tasting events. They also have a plenty of parking space and located in one of the best McLean area where lots of exciting restaurants can be found nearby.

Always the best service and wine

Total wine is always a go to. However I did not care of this location. The associates working the floor were like pop up ads. I do not believe I went more than five minutes without someone asking me if I needed help. At first it felt polite, but by the third time in the first 10 minutes I started to get off put. By the half hour mark I just left because it was too obnoxious.

Couldnt find what I was looking for but the folks were able to find the wine in the back.

I am very disappointed with my experience at Total Wine this evening. The customer was subpar. I asked 2 associates for help finding wine and I was still unable to find what I was looking for. After walking back and forth trying to find more help, the same associate literally looked me in the face and walked right passed me without acknowledging me. After this, I was extremely disgusted and did not purchase anything. I’m not sure if I will be back again.

Love the 2-hour pick up option as well. They deliver within a certain distance which can be very convenient for those who live nearby. Prices are very reasonable and save those 20 percent coupons!

Just did a contactless pickup at Total wine! Staff was great throughout - especially the young man who brought out our order (which was a lot) in 90 degree heat! And he was polite, wearing a black shirt and pants (he was sweating).Sadly I cant say the same of other customers, who parked in the contactless spots and went inside to get their orders.I was Impressed with the status via text message, The fact that it only took about 15 minutes tops, and everything went very smoothly.And a shout out to Matt at the McLain store, who helped my girlfriend with the wine selection for a small summer wedding!Well done, total wine, well done!

Every staff member says hello and makes sure you are ok!

Manager Roberto gave me a hard time to buy a 4 pack of beer due to a family member with me under the age of 21. I also was buying cases of waters for the family. There is no signs on the doors and or outside saying “Under 21 Do not enter”. Been coming here for years with my father and never had any issues when I was a minor accompanying my dad. Very embarrassing to make a scene and check my family members ID when I’m the purchaser of the waters and a single pack of beer for myself. Never again will I give money to total wine again. Store policies and door notices should be visible at the door.

Wine selection is excellent. The staff is generally knowledgeable. I do like that there seems to be someone who knows specific varietals. If one person doesnt know, they ask the other associates. Yes, online pricing is lower (no building to fund). But they do have 15-20% off coupons on occasion. They are generally competitive compared to other stores/grocery stores.

Ive been to this store a few times now, and each time the shopping experience was perfect. The lighting feels soft and inviting. The displays always contain something interesting to look at. The store is simply beautiful.As for the merchandise, the wine and beer selection would be overwhelming if not for the Wine Associates. They are the real superstars of Total Wine. Their knowledge of the products is phenomenal, and they always make excellent recommendations.

This is a great total wine. Always lots of tastings. The staff is always there to help and are generally very knowledgeable.

We bought a half keg of Heineken for a tailgate party where we were hosting close to a hundred people. Total Wine in McLean Virginia gave us the wrong tap for the keg which significantly impacted the party. We returned the keg and asked for a refund which they provided. When I asked for a gift certificate or some compensation to acknowledge the impact, the person working at customer service offered us $1 off six pack coupons available to anyone buying the Sunday newspaper. We were not looking to get rich here, But we did want Total Wine to at least make us feel like they cared about our business. I spoke to another employee who looked like senior staff and he agreed with me. I was willing to accept a $50 gift certificate as a token. When we returned with the keg the original clerk said they had a change of heart and offered us a $25 gift certificate but no more. We will net be going back there and probably will not even use the $25 certificate. They ruined the afternoon for allot of people by using untrained staff and then would not even make us feel like our business was important. They seem to be about volume discounts but their staff is poorly trained and out of touch. We will not be returning.

Online order was incorrect. First time ordering online from McLean, VA, store with home delivery. Two (2) of ten (10) items were incorrect. Lacking basic attention to detail--very disappointing. Whats the point of ordering home delivery if theyre going to get it wrong?

Great place to shop

THIS IS A BAD PLACE. I could spend hours, actually I could probably spend days, here just looking at the phenomenal selection of more than competitively priced drinks. The staff are great, knowledgeable, keen to please and it doesnt matter if you are spending $8 or $500 the service is the same. My only grumble is..... My fxxxing mobile works there. Might have to leave it in the car next time! 😁 Really - its awesome.

Total Wine & More has the best selection and prices on beer & wine in Virginia. If you find a lower price they will match it. Ive been introduced to wines at all price points that I would never have know about without this store. Its my go-to place for picking up wine for gifts & dinner parties. Dont be fooled by the name - Total Wine has WAY more than just wine. This place has probably the best craft beer selection of any store in the area, and they let you mix and match singles to make your own six pack. The staff knows their stuff and are able to give great recommendations. The prices are reasonable too. Ive also purchased some kegs here for a New Years party!

Its one of the bigger Total Wines Ive been to and they have a great and wide selection. The thing that makes this place great is their great selection of wines, beer, including their imported and local selections too. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable about the specials they have in stock and their inventory. Most of them know what youre looking for if you ask!
