A Mesmerizing Experience Overall..Everything was above and beyond expectations..This was my first Saffron Stay and now I can say that I am addicted to it..It was a great experience from getting over there to check-in and check-out..The Staff is Super Super Helpful, Polite and Yes, Child Friendly..They prepare a Super Delicious Food with a Parsi Cuisines as well which was again a topping on the cake for us..The Property is Clean, Hygenic, Private and Very Peaceful..Well Located for Relaxation in the Woods..And Moreover Feels Super Safe for My Family..Really Had a Great Time Over Here..Will Surely Keep Visiting for my Vacations..Keep it up #SaffronStays

Parsi Manor is the perfect quiet getaway. It is a beautiful Parsi house that’s been maintained beautifully and gives you a little peek into the past. A big shout out to the caretaker Santosh and his wife for taking such good care of us, and the super amazing home cooked meals. Don’t miss the special Parsi meal if you’re staying here!

The art architecture and ambiance will take you to a different level of experiencing a home stay ,excellent caretakers and Kunda(Santoshs wife)has magic in her fingers, won our hearts with her extra ordinary culinary skills. Best wishes to both. ONLY ONE SUGGESTION ,IF A LITTLE BIT DETAIL COULD BE ADDED TO THE ART AND DECOR (WRITE UP etc).Bawa is cute

I will definitely recommend my family and friends to stay at Keki house - Parsi manor. Its heritage parsi bungalow which is well maintained. Interior of the bungalow is just amazing. Caretakers Santosh and Kunda served us delicious homemade food. We also opt for Parsi dinner which was mouth watering. If you wanted to relax, away from busy life, with no network, no WiFi, no TV this is the best place in Matheran.Only if they keep check out time 12pm, then that will be better. 10am is too early

This is a beautiful villa with just four rooms; the perfect place if you wish to have a very peaceful holiday with ZERO distractions and I really mean zero.Only vodafone and MTNL work at Matheran and that too intermittently. So forget about laptops and social media. The villa has no TV. So that is out too. No rain dances, discotheques etc -- which is such a pleasure and relief. The rooms are quaint, old and nice. There is old and refurbished furniture ( to look antique) in the house and some lovely artefacts . All very welcome and the reason for our choice. The caretaker Santosh is very sweet and accommodating.Having said that, here are a few things that you should know. We were four people at the manor -- Santosh stays on the premises, but the main area of the house is locked, So if you forget to ask for extra water or need anything in the night, you are stuck. Unless you feel like summoning Santosh with a phone call which is rather unfair.. we learnt this because of a medical issue on night 2.There is no AC in the room -- I am sure it is not necessary in Matheran almost the entire year. But April afternoons are HOT and one would have loved the comfort of an AC for an hour or two in the afternoon -- especially at the rates we paid for the room.Breakfast is after 8.30 pm. So no cup of tea before you trek off to watch the sunrise !! That is completely unfair. For a place like this, it should be mandatory to have at kettle and tea bags in the room - it is a trivial cost but a big service.Ironically, on sunday morning, we managed to get a lovely pot of tea at a neighbouring resort, after having set out to try and find a place for some tea. Please note, there are no tapri joints open at that time except at the absolute tourist points. The one issue that really upset us is this: the PARSI owner has little placards put up with pieces of advice on how to be good guests -- dont leave wet towels around, put your clothes on a hanger, treat the antique furniture like a Parsi would etc., very cute! But then, the room didnt provide a single hanger or a cupboard to hang our clothes. There were some large hooks in the dressing room. Two big antique looking wardrobes were locked! We were told the owners have their stuff there.Having paid over Rs6000 per night, it is fair to expect at least one wardrobe to that will allow you to HANG up a couple of clothes. There was on unwieldy chest of drawers and a sagging lounger. Now dont allow this to dampen your enthusiasm, but please go prepared. Especially if you are visiting in summer. Hopefully the owner will read this review and make some minor changes that will make it a perfect place! One final thing -- you have to pay a cash deposit when you check-in, in case you damage anything in the bungalow. It is perfectly fair, since there is a lot that is available to you with care. But you need to know and carry the cash with you. Cheers!

We had an amazing stay here the past weekend. It’s a beautiful old parsi cottage with 4 large rooms. Perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. I would skip all the views in matheran, just come here, relax, read enjoy nature and music. The best part is not the quaint cottage, it’s the most amazing food cooked by santosh the caretaker.

A luxe experience with a home-stay appeal & one thats filled with Parsi antiquitiesThe Parsi Manor is exactly as has been described on its website. The small manor has only four rooms with a spacious and inviting living room. The room we stayed in had all the traits of colonial architecture remodeled with adjustments made to accommodate modern comfort. The beds were super comfortable and the bath was clean and contemporary. NO Wi-Fi or TV but that did not bother us much since we were there for only a day. The highlight for us was the lamps and the lights. When lit, the furniture and the other antiquities on display took on new personalities. The stay was both a luxurious and romantic experience for us as a couple

Matheran : a tiny hill station , frozen in time ..: spent the weekend at Parsi Manor , an 18th century colonial mansion.. so grand a building ... all the nooks and crannies filled with priceless antiques ...we were with our hyperactive super curious toddler..not exactly a formula for a relaxed weekend .. however , the Manor wears its grandiosity allToo casually ...and great food served by the resident caretaker and family ..a tiny library ... a stray dog who has adopted the mansion as its own ..no tv, no network , no wifi... the most relaxing weekend anyone could ask for ...Matheran is a no motor vehicle area.. so you are supposed to get on horses , man drawn rikshaws , or the toy train or just walk ... after watching Balraj Sahni in Do Bigha Zamin, it was weird to see young guys happily pulling and pushing the rickshaws ..it must be an extremely demanding job, but they do it in pairs ...By the way the few hours spent exploring Matheran’s various”points” by foot , reminded us how out of shape we are, as we panted our way through the winding roads...
