Mathaburu is rock climbing practice point.lot of bolders and rockwall inside the forest. Can trek to mathaburu top there also a temple of goddess.

I Have visited here so many time. For me this is heaven.

The camp is beautiful , it has a very big ground covered with huge trees and provides adequate space for tents and camp fire. It has a good toilet area , a 2 room house for indoor stay . One can easily climb the hill and enjoy the scenic beauty from the top. The trail is moderate , it has a steep walkway towards the end of the hill but is manageable. At the top , there is a Temple and the entire chota nagpur range runs parallel to the hill. The view is mesmerizing. Greenery is in abundant . One thing that needs to be taken care of is elephants. The area is belongs to the elephants. One can easily see peacocks , fox , deer and sometimes if youre lucky enough , a group of elephants can be seen.Fooding Is quite average , enough for survival during trek. Water supply is fine.The entire experience is amazing. One can take a short trip with family and friends and enjoy the weekend!

Great place. The forest in Matha is still dense enough to instigate ones imagination. The climb uphill is a must here especially before sunset. They have made a Staircase with300 steps that essentially reduced the natural beauty of the forested landscape.

Nice weekend getaway for people from Purulia, Bankura, Bardawan and Jharkhand. One can enjoy the views of plateau. Experiencing sunrise will be tedious to achieve but worth the effort.

Used to be a haven for adventure lovers. Nowadays a lot of tourists flock here and leave a lot of trash behind. But if you are a budding rock climber needing some practice , this is a good place to be . Plenty of boulders to try on , both large and small. Some great faces to practice both climbing and rappelling . Couple of chimney climbs . And the views are pretty good too .

This is one of the best places in West Bengal to learn basic rock climbing and mountaineering. I visited the place way back in 1999 as a participant of Basic Rock Climbing Course organized by The Mountaineering Club of Jadavpur University, my Alma mater. It was an awesome experience. I can still see myself getting up at 4.30 am and warming up for the rigorous day ahead with my fellow participants, doing brisk running on the pitch dark road. The memories are still fresh.

It is a very nice place for adventure camp near Duarsini, Ajodhya Hills, Purulia.Ajodhya Hills (Bengali: অযোধ্যা পাহাড়), is a small plateau with hilly surroundings located in the Purulia district of the state West Bengal, India. It is the easternmost part of the Chhotanagpur Plateau and extended part of Eastern Ghats range. Highest peak of Ajodhya Hills is Chamtuburu (712 m/ Garmin GPS reading). The nearby populated town area is Bagmundi.

Its a very nice place to do camping trip during summer times but also be precautious about the weather and beware of wild animals.

Place is good ,and cheap but the forest gurds are not that responsible , was trying to extort money from use , was arguing ,drunk at night... if you have proper papers and reservation than you dont have any trouble... but if dont the will tell you at night and ask for money to settle.
