I usually eat here by myself so BBQ isn’t really practical. But they do use real charcoal unlike most other Korean BBQ places, so don’t wear your Sunday best. My usual here is the hearty soondubu, soft tofu stew. I’ve ordered this dish in many places, including in Korea, and no one even approaches the quality of Tofu Village. This is my last night living in the area and had to get a final taste. It will definitely remain the top food item I miss when I’m 800+ miles away.

Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had. They weren’t busy when we got in. Took forever to take our order. Excuse was low staffing like everyone else but they weren’t busy at all. Kept forgetting to bring what we ordered. They mixed our refills up after we explained the cup with the straw is sweet tea and the one without the straw is Coke Zero and they still messed that up. The charcoal would not heat up. They came back and said give it 2-3 minutes in a rude way when it had already been over 20 minutes. Well our charcoal never heated up and the staff did try to correct it serval times but couldn’t get it to work. We finally asked if they could just cook the food for us and well that turned into a disaster. They came back with our food burned. We asked for a manger and one of the younger girls in glasses said we are low on staffing the manager is busy. Another older woman said there is no manager. I will never be returning here.

Terrible and poor customer service. We have a table of 9. Waitress took our orders (didn’t write anything down), left then came back out and told us she forgot what we ordered. We reordered and then when the food came out my order never came. First off she didn’t give me utensils, then forgot my drink, and then my whole order. I told them I want to cancel because it took too long, they still brought it out and try to put it in my face. The food here mediocre and there are plenty of Korean places to eat, definitely will not be coming back and do not recommend coming here. Also, some of the dishes weren’t clean.

This is my first time trying here, The food is well prepared and delicious. Side dishes are good and I liked the cleanliness and atmosphere too. The only reason for reducing a star is once the food is served no waiter even looked at us or refilled sides, even after waiting for 10 mins for our check we went by ourselves to cashier to pay. It would be nice if they can pay little attention other than that food is delicious and loved their “chicken ka su”

I had a very disastrous trip to Chattanooga and almost ate dinner up there and then I remembered seeing a Korean restaurant off Canton Road in Marietta so I looked up the hours and realized I could make it and not have too late a dinnerI am so glad I decided to wait until I returned from Tennessee. I got a number six hot plate and it hot the spot.My only complaint was that the menu needs to be clearer. It advertised pork and squid but I didnt get any pork in the dish, and I need the extra protein as a diabetic. Other than that, the salad was good too and you really cant have Korean food without the side dishes, which were also scrumptious.Just be forewarned. If it has a pepper symbol next to it, its not just hot. The gokugiang (sp) sauce this dish had is not for the faint or heart. I enjoyed it though.Definitely will go back if I am ever in Marietta again.

Love any Korean BBQ I’ve ever had but this was so much more. Cooking over hot coals meets tender lamb and WOW. Can’t wait to call two hours in advance to order the Ginseng Chicken Pot. Tempted to do so tomorrow. So very GOOD. Money well spent. Until next time..

DO NOT GO HERE!! They are very rude here! The waitress insulted me bc I ordered beef while my Korean friend ordered pork. I dont eat pork so I ate most of the beef. The waitress asked me why I didnt share my food and that I was being rude. Then turned to my friend and said in Korean I wouldnt take her anywhere. She is selfish This irritated my friend and I so we wanted to leave. We left a 10% tip, shouldnt have left anything, only to have her chase after us demanding more tip money in Korean. We will NEVER go back!

Food is just like how my mother would make it, Side dishes are very tasteful, and the service is fast and great as well.

Came here tonight because I thought the reviews seemed pretty good. Don’t waste your time. They wiped our cooking tongs off to ‘clean them’ in front of us before letting us cook with them. Didn’t get plates to put our food on. Only got one entree when we ordered two. We didn’t even cook our food and we asked to just pay for our drinks and leave. Service is horrible and I’m sure that is a sanitary issue as well. I’m not trying to get sick over some $10 beef.

We enjoyed all the food here. Even having had Korean BBQ before it was hard to make sense of all the menu items and our server was challenged with communicating in English.The kimchi pancake off the appetizer menus was a big hit and so were the fermented side dishes.The iceberg was weak but the decor was pretty cool.Overall I had a decent experience here and this may be the only choice in the nearby area. I have had a better experience in places near Buford Highway but that’s like 45 min away.Also the main dinner menu is expensive with BBQ ribeye at 35 dollars a plate.

Im rating the service, not the food, because I didnt try it. I was barely acknowledged as I waited for a seat although they looked at and passed me several times. When someone finally spoke to me, they made a sarcastic comment along the lines of me wanting to stand (as if I was supposed to seat myself). Once I was seated, I waited for 20+ minutes and no one ever took my tables drinks or orders. I decided to leave and politely said thank you on my way out, and they all simply stared at me as I left and did not say a word. I was looking forward to trying this place as they are highly rated, but they do not have good service whatsoever.

I had the tofu with grilled kimchi and pork. It was amazingly delicious with just the right amount of heat. Their service is on point. Very highly recommended!

Probably the worst service I have ever had at a Korean restaurant. They are very judgmental on tables, especially if they come in alone… I came by myself for some Korean food that is close to my apartment and this was the closest. The lady at the front didn’t think that I spoke Korean and told the other ladies in the back that there is “just one person eating” and why I don’t order togo. They sat me and the lady told me that it will be a wait for a server to get to me because it was busy, which I don’t mind since I work in the service industry. What I do mind is that they tended to a family of 4 who sat at their table 5 minutes after me and a server zoomed to that table but forgot about me who sat first.Regardless, the service is trash. The food is subpar compared to other Korean restaurants.

Food is okay, overall a bit overpriced. Service was the worst here. No one was coming to our table and also didnt take my order correctly. It was the worse experience Ive ever had - I asked for a plastic fork if they have one for a friend I brought with me, and they were being sarcastic to me at my face (in korean) whether I want her to go buy a plastic fork for us to use (and she literally went on and on about a freaking plastic fork!). Like, why being sarcastic on such a small thing, all I did was asking if they have it by chance. I was speechless. We even had to wait for so long for them to bring a check to us, or anyone even come to check on us, we ended up going up to the register and waited there to pay.I am NEVER going back to this place again, Im sorry but there are so many other good Korean restaurants around here for us to choose from. Horrible experience, ruined my day. Not worth the $$.

Food quality is great but very rude demeanor.They make rules as they go.Party of 4 took bbq table, one ordered from lunch menu, other 3 ordering 3 bbqs. The server comes and in ominous tone says that from next time if we are sitting at bbq table, everyone has to order bbq.Quality is excellent but could work on manners as well. Don’t make us feel sorry for coming there.

The quality and taste of the food was excellent but the service tonight was terrible.We were a party of six.It took about a half hour from our drink order until the server came back to the table with side dishes for our dinner, which we had not yet had the opportunity to order.It took at least another 30 to 40 minutes for the different raw meats for the barbecue to be delivered to a side table. In the past, the server would then cut the meats into smaller portions and begin grilling, but this server just plopped down the tray of raw meats on a side table and disappeared.After waiting about 15-minutes, erroneously expecting she was coming back, we grabbed the tray of raw meats from the side table and put the meats on the table top grill, but they wouldn’t cook.So much time had passed from the time we were initially seated until the tray of raw meats were dumped on a side table that the cooking embers had gone cold and it took another 10-minutes for them to bring out new, fiery hot embers so we could finally begin cooking our dinners.

Always delicious food for a great price in a wonderful atmosphere. Tofu Village offers an array of authentic Korean food that will leave you wanting to explore more of their menu.

Best Korean place you can find in Marietta area. Generous side dishes. Try their Tofu soups and Galbi dishes.

Didnt grab pictures but this place is really a legit stop for Korean food. Traditional full menu of favorites, including BBQ, tofu soups, cold noodles, the whole thing. Rice and side dishes come with entrees, as is the custom. Service was friendly and theres actually some outdoor seating (not luxurious but certainly functional for those not yet comfortable eating indoors). Most importantly, all the food is above average for Korean food generally, which is great for an outpost so far from Gwinnett county, and reasonably priced.Try the tofu and bbq combos, always a good bet. We will be back!

Called the restaurant to see how long the wait was for dinner and since reading bad reviews on Staffing we just asked if they were fully staffed and they hung up on us! 🤣🤣🤣 definitely wont be wasting our time there!

Ok, my mind is blown. First time having Korean BBQ and my taste buds are thanking me right now. I just ordered some random dish called Kal Bi, and it was crazy good. Granted, its a 12 dollar lunch, but in my expert opinion its worth it. None of the small dishes in the picture were extra. They all came with the meal. Ill be back to try the rest of the menu!

I went there and ordered the bbq bulgogi and kalbi. It was so delicious!! All the sides were fresh too. All the staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. I like the atmosphere, you loose time enjoying the bbq experience. The dividers between tables are taller so you feel really cozy and everyone was seating spaced out. The prices were pretty good also! We will be definitely coming back.

Overall good Korean food. I like the sides as its all authentic, well made. The only thing i didnt like was the chicken katsu, it was too hard to chew. All beef was good. I guess i just wont order chicken katsu.

Fun place to eat as a group. Lots of vegetarian offerings, and the meat that you cook at the table is excellent as well. Try sharing a pot of the maekgolli rice wine. A little pricey though.

Ive always appreciated this spot! Although, I still am not entirely sure what I am eating at times, its always great and is even better when washed down with a Cass. Now, in todays hot-tempered cultural climate, Im not sure if I am allowed to say this, but I find it reassuring folks of Korean descent are actively dining here. It makes me feel as though I did not select the Panda Express equivalent of Korean restaurants. Its true, sometimes I even try to surreptitiously peek at their dishes, just in case their on the inside track of the available dishes. Fine, fine, call it Suppertime Cultural Appropriation, if you must, but sometimes one needs every extra advantage when dining out.

Staff was great and food was authentic and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back.

Tofu Village is a great place for traditional Korean BBQ, authentic, and great tasting food. They serve quite a few extras such as potatoes, sprout, kimchi, rice, rice paper to go with your main selection of BBQ, cooked right there at your table.Great tasting food, good service, I would definitely go again. Every time I get food here, it is absolutely heavenly and warms my soul. My personal favorites are the beef tongue plate and kimchi stew. The interior of the restaurant is very clean and cool! Great spot, regardless of the occasion. I always recommend this place to my friends!

They make their kimchee and tofu from scratch! This has the most legit Korean food I’ve tasted since being back stateside! Friendly service, great atmosphere and so authentic if didn’t look out the window I would swear I was back in Seoul. Just look at that food!!!

First came here a few months ago when my usual tofu spot closed down in chamblee but I’m really pleased with the food here. I come here with friends but also by myself sometimes because the all mixed tofu stew is just so good. I’m a fan of the spicy rice cakes and kimchi too. Overall, it’s food that makes you feel satisfied.

Dont come here! We waited for over an hour and a half and did not get our food. A table of 9 came in close to an hour after us and still got food before us. Also it was not very busy, half of the available tables were open. Also they do not realize shrimp is shellfish so if you have allergies beware. Food was mediocre if you ever get it. Also their bbq is not unlimited and quite a bit more expensive than other Korean bbq.

Love their Bulgogi! Also, love the fact that you dont have to do BBQ if you dont want you can just order a plate of food here and it includes alllll the sides that it would if you did purchase the BBQ!

One person from my party was not allowed to order from the vegetarian menu because we were seated at a BBQ table. This was very inconvenient. You cannot tell someone that they need to sit at another table because they are vegetarian. We had no choice but to leave or move our party to another seat and not eat BBQ. The food looked great, I wish we could have eaten there. Korean restaurants are usually very considerate towards vegetarians, but this place is an exception.

This restaurant is fun. A friendly atmosphere, wonderful staff and a great selection of good food. Everything Ive tried so far was really good and tasty. Did I mention the drinks. Awesome, on selection and quality.

Let me start by saying the food here is not bad, but the service is TERRIBLE!!! Im not sure why these people do not learn how to serve when theyre working in the restaurant business. First off, I walked in and waited for 5 mins before being acknowledged. Then I was told to sit wherever. After sitting down at a table for 15 mins and no one came to ask me for my order and I got up to go to the desk. A woman look at me and mumble something in Korean. Then I went to sit down. She came 10 mins later and said not everyone here yet, how many people. I said I need to order since my family with small kids are waiting in the car until the food come out. She said the table is too big. Now I asked her is it a problem for me to sit here and she said no. I figure since she told me to sit wherever, thats what I did. They dont come and ask if you need anything more. I rather drive a bit further to go to a place with better customer service. Its a shame that people still have their business open like this.

The worst service ever, they were rude with us, family 2 kid 2 adults, they were in a rush for all over the restaurant did not make a stop to attend us and explain the menu, also one of the women was so very very unpolite..

First time here. The food was delicious. We sat at a regular table and had the beef Bulgogi. All the sides were yummy. I especially like the bean sprouts. Refills were on time and the ambiance was good. I gave it 4 stars because the place was not busy enough to where we had to wait 15 minutes for the bill. I do recommend...

I ordered soon dubu, hamuel pajeon, and japchae. The pajeon was the most flavorful thing. I crave Korean food from time to time and typically drive to Duluth but was looking for something closer. I will not be back to this location as the other flavors tasted off. Could have been an off day but not a good experience.

This place is amazing! I loved the atmosphere very comfortable and clean inside the restaurant. Food came out hot and I even had special requests and they took care of it right away. All very authentic foods. One thing that stood out here is that in a lot of Korean restaurants they don’t check on the table enough in my opinion. It’s parts of the culture over there though. But at Tofu village they do a great job of making sure you’re well taken care of and going that extra step to make sure your food is delicious and the way you want it! Jenny the owner was so kind and very friendly. As well as the rest of the staff. 5/5 it was so good can’t wait to come back.

Food is great! Some of the best side dishes. I am working my way through the soups. EVerytime we go I order a different one.. My favorite so far is the Soon Tubu Chigae. The DolSot BiBimBap is also delish!

Wonderful meal. We had bulgogi. Tasty side dishes. Ive been to a few newer places in the area lately, and I missed the fun little side dishes at these restaurants. The wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. Something else that was missing from the newer restaurants. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

I ordered lunch bulgogi and it was delicious, came with many sides and tasted authentic. Food quality was 5 stars. Unfortunately, the customer service was not. When we asked for lunch, the waitress said no because it is past 3pm, even if I had called ahead to make sure it was ok. When she finally looked at her watch and saw that it was only 2:30pm she said ok fine lunch. Already, we felt unwelcome. The entire time there, I felt uncomfortable with the servers who were unfriendly with their tone and did not know how to treat new customers. Very judgmental servers.

Bad serviced ,never come again

Excellent food and service! Our party of three went there on a Friday night and ordered from the BBQ menu. We had the sliced seasoned beef, the fatty pork and the squid. In the beginning we got an appetizer salad and a rice bowl, followed by some traditional Korean trimmings. I was afraid we weren’t going to have enough food, but ended up having to take the squid home. The meat portions are big and they actually refill the trimmings as you eat, so three BBQ plates plus the trimmings that come with it are more than enough for, I’d say 4 adults. My favorite trimmings were the eggplant, the sliced tofu and the bean sprouts; but everything was delicious. A really nice evening. We will be back.
