Mainly known to be a tea joint Bharat Cafe has decent vegetarian snacks, although options are limited. Go here if you want some good tea, and some accompaniments like pakoras or chapati/puri baji among other options. I was a little disappointed they had nothing cold to offer on a hot day, I was expecting at least a lassi or some fruit juices.

Lovely little cafe, opens early, has a newspaper shop attached to it. Great snacky & breakfast southindian stuff. Loved the food. Cheap n yumm. Medu vada to die for yumm. Been there for ages.

Bharat cafe is a landmark in Margao. It is not just a hotel it provides a roof for all activities related to Kannada and culture as well.
