Food costs a bomb in Goa. Right? But Cafe Prashant proves it wrong. An unassuming place. The ground floor serves veg Goan snacks and food. Upstairs is the bar and Non veg section. A normal Fish Thali is just Rs. 110/-. Amazed. A big pc of fish and absolutely delicious prawn curry.

The best place for pav bhaji , mirchis and potato waddos while in Mapusa . Purely Goan taste over the years , very reasonably priced despite being in the busy city , staff are very good so also the owner and the service is quick .

Same lingering taste even after decades. Nothing fancy but the best salad-bhaji for miles around. Their paatal & sukhi bhaji is what gets the customers every morning. Their hot samosas, batatwadas and buns makes your day, everyday.

Cafe provides tea time snacks like potato capas, mirchi and bhajji along with puri bhaaji, Samosas and tea/ coffee!! Right next to Alankar Theatre, Mapusa. They also keep home made laddoos, including rawa /besan laddoos and other sweets too!!

Cafe Prashant is situated besides a narrow road. So parking was a bit difficult for us to find. The cafe is non-air conditioned. You get all types of snacks here. Cafe Prashant mainly specializes in their Bhaaji Pavs. They have some really good potato pakodas and onion pakodas. The rate is also quite reasonable. The ambiance is decent, nothing too great. Overall I would recommend Cafe Prashant for a quick snack, or a tea break.

Bajji Pao , batata vada, samosa all good. Great for a quick bite. Usually crowded and you have a to wait a few minutes to get a seat. You may have to share the table with a stranger or two if you dont want to wait for a table by yourself. There is a constant stream of freshly fried stuff coming in and usually it is a good idea to go for whats hot.Recommend this place for a quick, inexpensive snack.

If youre wondering where this is located, its near the (soon-to-be-former) Cine Alankar, one of the two prominent and popular cinema theatres that engaged Mapusas attention in the past decades.Inspite of having an active (if cluttered and dusty, but tasty) food-court nearby, Cafe Prashant holds its own.I visit it mostly for snacks. Around 4pm ish is the best time to try their ladoos (of different types), bajjas (local pakodas), mirchis (capsicums deep fried in batter), samosas, battatawadas and more. The snacks are tasty and the owner on the counter always smiling and efficient. A nice place to visit. (Not sure about their lunch and/or dinner offerings; Ive never been there in those times.)

Lokal cafe, prices are three times cheaper. But only snacks, such as samosy, vada paul, salads and tea, juss.
