The staff is very friendly. They have maintained a very good standard of hygiene. Peri Peri Chicken tasted the best. The desserts were delicious. The other dishes were good too. With all this one would expect it to be costly but I would say that it is affordable. I would surely recommend this place to people.

I ordered paneer masala and ghee rice combo..paneer masala is tasteless...it was worst experience.. packing was not good....

Lovely place. Not very crowded. Good ambience. Staff were polite and courteous. Their kebabs are well cooked and perfectly flavoured. Definitely worth trying them. Price of food is reasonable for the service provided. Overall, had a great experience. Will definitely visit again.

This place is located inside Hotel Sarah International in Manipal. Having opened recently, Ginger Garlic provides a wide range of cuisines under one roof, although they speak very highly of their coastal concoctions. I was lucky enough to get invited alongside a few of my foodie friends, as well as a lot of students from Manipal for a sort of mini-launch party.We were welcomed with a Kiwi Cooler, made up of Kiwi Crush and Sparkling Water. This was quite refreshing.Coming to the food, we had a very wide spread, courtesy the large number of people in the group. Also, there was some seafood festival going on, so many items here are from their special seafood menu. Let me go into the finer details of all these dishes (Not explaining the ones I didn’t taste)Prawns Cocktail – Great presentation, but I did not try it out due to my allergyGrilled Pomfret – A delicious Continental preparation, served with a portion of rice and veggiesGrilled Anjal – Similar to the Grilled Pomfret plating, however with Seer/King fishPrawns Koliwada – Did not try this item due to my prawn allergyChicken Tawa – A unique tasting dish, worth ordering once. It was tangy and spicy, quite fingerlicking.Bangude Rawa – A decent sized Mackerel, deep fried with a semolina coating. It was so delicious, I managed to gulp down two!All in all, it is a fresh change to the dining scene in Manipal, which usually consists of small eateries, pubs or similar kind of places. This is a place where you can dine in luxury, without necessarily spending exorbitantly. Oh, and for the hic-happy folks, they serve alcohol too!

Food taste was good but quantity was less as per the price.

Lots in the menu from indian, chinese, continental they have it all. Service is attentive and they have a bar too. Beverage pricing is good. Food taste can get better. We had lasagna, salads a d India dal and rice.

Visited this place with family and found it to be a great place. Food was decent and ambience was good. Pricing was also reasonable. The place has different floors with different types of experience and saw different people with different age groups walk in together and getting off different floors. Well maintained restaurant, tasty food.

I dont know why restaurant cant keep the standard that they keep when they start business. Initially this restaurant was good. But after sometime their quality going down and down. They are serving stale food. Once i have ordered sizzler and vegetables in that was smelling and cant put in mouth. And hotel management didnt say sorry for that.

I think the place is highly over rated.... The food isnt as good as the prices indicate.. Too oily,.. Too spicy

The service is slow.. Had to wait for almost 15 mins and no one came to take our order had to call some boy who was talking to someone he took the order which came in very late... Being Sunday and no much guest in the evening and very few tables to attend to still the service was very pathetic...

I have visited Ginger Garlic twice. First time the service was very slow, but I thought it might be a one-time issue and will be solved. The second time they agreed to being able to serve a group of 40 people, but we were a group of only 20 people and still they were not able to serve us properly. The service was even slower. It seems they are least concerned about the feedback and are not ready to make any changes to their management process.

Have visited this restaurant twice now. The best thing about this place is the quality of Chinese and Indian food specifically.. Ambience is very formal though. Excellent place for a family visit and even a decent college friends dinner place as well..

Good food and drinks

Well it was my second time in this restaurant and yes we had a great evening. Food was good and service aswell. Nice ambience though, i really glad that we got a best fine dine in manipal and also the manager with tie (im not sure.) well handled. Looking forward to have a bigger dine in this place !

I get that the prices are expensive because its a hotel, but, the continental menu is still just too low quality for the price we pay. The rice they serve as a side is usually very coarse and dry and doesnt even come warm. The lamb chops are just a disappointment as they dont have much meat on them. As in out of 5 pieces maybe 3 had some meat on them, and 2 had no appreciable amount of meat. Mashed potatoes were good, malaysian and Thai menu, not bad. Ambiance is great

Clean Maintained & quality food and good service

Went there after a recommendation, but was little disappointed. Price wise it is in line with manipal standards. Taste is also decent, but nothing great.Ambience is very good, a lot of students come here. That way dont expect a quiet ambience if you are visiting with family.Sea food taste is mostly Mangalore style. Those who are used to Goan style will be disappointed. They will find the taste bland.

An upscale place attracting trendy crowd. South Indian dishes are popular here, especially Chicken Ghee Roast is worth trying.

Disappointed by the service provided at this restaurant. The staff had very little or no clue about our orders and they had forgotten to send one of our major order to the kitchen.When asked about the manager we were repeatedly told he would come by our table, clearly avoiding the situation.The restaurant is well designed but, in my opinion, the quality of service has to be improved.

The biggest problem I find when it comes to writing about bad food and experiences is the lack of an option to give 0 stars on sites like Google and Zomato. My experience at ginger garlic was perhaps the worst experience at any restaurant in my 4 years at Manipal. I would never imagine Id say this but damn,I should have just eaten at the mess.Absolutely pathetic service. No other words to put it. The organization and management was in total shambles and they couldnt manage large crowds as was evident during our visit. The food was average at best.The best thing we had was the mint chutney! Would never recommend this place to anyone. They sure believe in a lot of publicity via social media which created a lot of expectations in my mind, but the staff,service and quality was the worst Ive seen in a long time. The manager was nowhere to be found. There was just one waiter serving 3-4 groups of 15+ people.Mistakes happen and our visit to ginger garlic was one of the biggest we could make after engineering.
