I have always heard people tell me MIT hostels were the best almost like a lesser version of a lodge, may be the one I was alloted was different or something I dont know!But these pictures say it all, MIT hostels for the price they charge, its nothing close to what I had imagined, theres no attached bathroom, one washing stone for the entire floor and three people in one room.

Home feeling. Open space, has triple sharing rooms and common bathroom.

It was boys hostel once up on a time. Nostalgic moments. Was here in 1987 as a freshie. Gully cricket in the open arena , Just loved it. Cleanliness who cares. I loved the stay here most compared to other hostels.

Compared to even BLOCK 1, Block 4 isnt a pleasant stay. The rooms are terribly small for 3 people to share. All furniture are very very old and in not a great state. Toilets are infested with mosquitoes and frogs during rains. Some have health spouts not in working condition. The rooms are filled with ants. Very small living space. There are cats so if your rooms door is open at night beware. Its closer to KC, Campus Store and foodcourt. The housekeepers dont clean the rooms unless asked unlike the usual once in 2 days protocol. If you have a choice, DO NOT PICK BLOCK 4!

Its triple sharing with common bathrooms. Non AC rooms. But its all very neat and clean.

Hostel should be maintained and cleaned on a regular basis. Staff are very friendly.
