I was here for a couple of months for the shutdown work in a Phase 1 unit. I had an absolutely amazing time here, the people here are wonderful, hospitality is good and the refinery is well maintained and systematic.

Aweosme place for working. The employees are good natured and the location is just a cherry on top.

This place is a great company, also the employees residences are very good with all facilities like gym swimming pool and other officers club also there is an auditorium for hosting programs. Overall the place is eco friendly with a lot of greens surrounding the area, with a lot of rare birds in the ares.

This is where you get a Gate pass to enter MRPL.The main office is just inside here... Easier access than from Main Gate

Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), is an oil refinery set up in 1988 at Mangalore.It was declared as Miniratna in 2007.MRPL originally was built by HPCL in a joint venture with A V Birla Group.ONGC in 2003 acquired Birla Groups stake & MRPL became its subsidiary.Now HPCL has plans to acquire MRPL to become India’s 3rd largest oil refiner behind IOC & Reliance Industries.

Security is good, getting entrance inside is a bit tough job, employees are really good.

Though its one of rarest referred refinery centres in India, its one of the best i have ever visited.

A well organised township with adequate infrastructure. It has everything needed for a basic life style. There is a bank, well equipped community hall with most of the indoor games, well equipped gym. This place is highly secured. This place blends with nature. Its home to a lot of monkeys and a lot variety of birds. Calm place. Safe for kids as everyone drive sensibly. In toto a nice place to upbring your child.

Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), is an oil refinery at Mangalore and is a subsidiary of ONGC, set up in 1988. The refinery is located at Katipalla, north from centre of Mangalore city. The refinery was established after displacing five villages of Bala, Kalavar, Kuthetoor, Katipalla, and Adyapadi.

This only good for employment and other than that they are destroying the nature and agriculture land and one thing I should appreciate that it has given the contract employment opportunities to the people not for tourists
