The malai prawns was tasty but tangdi kebab was slightly overcooked. The Mangalore fish curry from the main course was very tasty but the fish in it was again a little overcooked.Desert section only liked the brownies and the vanilla ice cream had already started melting.Overall I would say okayish.

A good high profile hotel still well maintained to a great extend. I opted for a twin room and all the amenities were upto the expectations. There were few guests complaining at front desk about leaks, door not properly closing etc. Now coming to the staff, they are trying their level best to be kind to guests abiding had hotel policies. I remember housekeeping initially rejecting extra water bottle and later giving it to me. The same goes for in-room dining if you are ordering something not in their regular kitchen hours (as per the staff). I was told in-room dining is 24x7 though. Location of the hotel is in the heart of the city and most of the places are easily accessible. The hotel is pretty famous among Mangalorians as well. I did a solo travel and I would rate my stay OK OK. Nothing special or great to comment about.

Amazing ambience and warm service is as relishing as the mouth watering food served here! Dining at Goldfinch is our first preference and every time we visit this Lovely place , it adds on to our good memories!

No maintenance at all when compared to a star hotel. Rooms had a bad odour. Basic necessities were also not there in the room.

Great location, Rooms are well kept despite signs of aging are visible on windows and floor boards. Hygienic and well sanitized rooms. Food is above average. Housekeeping services did an awesome job of making the beds and cleaning up and placing my belongings just as they were. Overall good experience with staff and premises.

One of the best option to stay in Manglore city centre....Even if the hotel is not that new construction building, but its well maintained......Good amenities... Checkin was smooth... twin-bedded room provided although I had requested for a double bed... overall proactive staff... Chef was very kind to come on a call to understand my food preferences as I was on a specific diet... room service was a bit slow but given the current times I think they are doing the best... the bed was a spring mattress, which was a bit uncomfortable for me as I prefer a hard bed...Breakfast was in form of buffet -wada ,dosa, idli, poha, sambar, chutney ,egg omlet, tea, coffee, toast breads and biscuits, anything how much ever u want for 350 rs plus taxes per person.Taste was really good with cleanliness, good hygiene and good ambience ......

It was a really nice experience being there guest in their high end presidential suite . One of the best hotel in Mangaluru for sure! It is affordable but slightly on the higher side of the price if booked through online portals. The rooms and very well sanitised and clean. Luxurious and comfortable. It’s very quite inside the property & the aromatic scent kind of brings more peace in the lobby areas. What I liked the most is the quality of food served in room dining (IRD). It’s very good. Although the complementary breakfast is totally the opposite. Dint have a pleasant experience with the complimentary breakfast because the IRD had set a bar so high. Would say it’s family friendly as well as couple friendly. A few happening places around the property as well which one can explore. I’ve visited & stayed in this property thrice in the span of 2 years but it’s always welcoming with warmth.

Self proclaimed boutique hotel.Room - Medium size and a lot of unwanted decor which takes up a lot of space. Clean sheets and working TV. AC is good.Bathroom - not even 5% of the room size and tight spaces. Toiletries are missing except the soap (good quality soap)Restaurant (sana-di-gay) worst...Expensive is not the right word. We tasted a lot of Chinese, tandoori, South cuisine but all of them tasted same (no salt, so spice and bland taste). I still cant get my head around how schezwan and regular food look the same.Out of 2 lifts only 1 works and in a building with lots of floors, that is a inconvenience due to wait time.Hotel was rated 4 star in one of the booking site and I firmly believe they are no more than 2 stars.Why 2 stars?Purely for the courteous staff. They were really good. Valet parking, reception, Housekeeping, room service and overall experience was good. I have had similar experiences for lesser price. So Price to experience ratio is not worth it.

Rooms and food were good but worst hospitality. They did not provide drinking water and asked us to buy packed mineral water or to drink tap water. Not worth to be 4 star hotel and not worth for money paid

Full marks for the restaurants here.But when it comes to stay at the goldfinch, I’ll choose one of the alternatives in the vicinity. Here are my reasons:1) the reception and the people who man it score a ZERO on customer service.We’d just driven from Bangalore and tired, with two hungry, little kids. The staff didn’t bother to ask, nor offered water, nor asked us to sit... instead three staff members were helping two other guests check out. A process that took 10 whole minutes. During which we were just waiting, looking at their faces. Bad on customer sensitivity2) next when it came to signing in with our details, one insisted on IDs for the kids, while another didn’t insist. Confused.3) and finally, just inadequate communication and cultural skills. I was rudely asked to pay for the whole amount. Not that I would have refused. But not even being told about the charges, not being told that the money would be blocked on my credit card, or being asked if we’d like an alternate room, nor many o her things. Just badly trained front desk staff.4) finally, for all their in-lift videos about being so careful about containing Covid, I could nearly no staff wearing masks.Next time. It’s NOT the goldfinch I will stay at

Decent place with excellent service. I’d recommend to skip the breakfast as the food is quite average, choose a room without the breakfast package. There r plenty of restaurants nearby the hotel. Ask for water wash, they have a facility to clean the car in the basement. Parking is good.

Clean, nice room. Responsive staff. Breakfast buffet was good too. We were given separate beds despite the request we had placed but I am willing to overlook.The location was convenient too.

12 pm was my check in time and when I checked with reception they told its 1 pm and its not updated, I had reached early and had no option but to wait for my check in later around 11.45 receptionist changed and let me Check in as room was available.Room was very clean and ambiance and service was good.Room has king size bed, wardrobe, mini fridge, mini digital locker, tv and AC, mini sofa, work table. Bathroom has a separate phone and all other basic amenities.

I stayed here this week with my family. my experience is very nice, a memorable one.the staffs approachable gesture is very nice.i met a front office person called Mr Sreeraj. he is a wonderfull , dedicated boy he helped us with his sweet gesture.1. impressed with sanitisation to bags and vehicle.2.valet parking statffs are courteous.3.Restaurent--SANA-DI-GE is awesome. food is very tasty. even i met the master chef there and congratulated him for the wonderful food. i forgot his name. he is from Mandya.also one more person MR RAYAN, he is spontaneous, energetic and well approachable guy. 4.breakfast buffet is very nice with affordable price tag.5.rooms are clean and tidy6.ACs are working fine.7. hotel is very close to most of all the places.8.hotel lounge ambient is a bit dull, may be some lights were off due to the less customers because of covid-19

They did not keep up to their reputation. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel. I faced a lot of inconvenience and had to vacate even before I had settled down. They promised me connecting rooms while booking. But during check in completely took a U turn and provided 2 rooms for a family of 7 without extra cot. They asked us to adjust sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Is this a 5-star hotel? The staff was not at all courteous and seemed like trainees from hotel management course. Complete disaster this hotel is. Not recommended in my personal opinion.

Neat and Tidy rooms, Very polite staffs all around property.Check-in and check-out is less time consuming than other hotels,They wont keep u waiting or unattended at any time i found that pretty loyal .They have restaurants which serves different cuisine along with a pub with dance floor ,all combined u dont have to go anywhere else to have fun and have a peace of mind...Devraj who manages front office provides exceptional service all time during the stay His Behavior is very polite and commitment towards his wok is remarkable , Thank you for your constant attention. really appreciate that4/5 for rooms5/5 for staffs4/5 for food

It was a good experience. I checked in around 7pm and as I was alone to have my stay, Arohi at the reception was good. She was concerned and was helped me as I was alone. I bit faced problem in socket as its pin is not compatible, bt service man reached me soon. As it was my second stay in Goldfinch, compared to the superior room i booked this time also, it was not so good as the first one.

My stay was awesome, room was very good, so as the food. Also the staffs were very welcoming and helped me plan my day too. Day trip to Malpe beach and St. Marys island was awesome, thanks for arranging car and suggesting the place. One suggestion is to add more variety in breakfast, more towards english breakfast, South Indian dishes were good and had many varieties, a little more variety on the western side will be good. My overall stay was superb. Hope to visit soon.

An upscale hotel in Mangalore. Bit old but still maintains the charm. Rooms are good. As expected from a typical coastal town hotel fish 🐟 dishes are aplenty. They will show you the whole fish and prepare as per your suggestion. A desert prepared from pulp of tender coconut served in coconut look-alike bowl is a must a have.

Goldfinch Mangalore used to be our favourite spot to hang out on birthdays with friends while we were studying. It was nice to note that their food quality is still top notch and their buffet breakfast spread was really good. However it was a bit disappointing to see the room. It maybe just our room, but it required a good makeover if it needs to keep up to its standard. Sheets were torn at the corners and most of the linen was off white. While most establishments are moving to soap and shampoo dispensers, Goldfinch is still running on the old standard stuff. The toilet was in need of a proper cleaning with remnants of water marks in the bowl. Room service was prompt and staff were polite and helpful. I hope the management takes this into consideration in order to keep up the standard we are so used to.

We had opted for this hotel due to its ratings and it didn’t disappoint us at all. The room was spacious and clean. All the Covid protocols were followed at the hotel. Our luggage was sanitised at the entrance. We liked the breakfast spread as well.The hotel also provides valet parking and has a dedicated basement parking for guests.

Average hotel. Not qualify as a 4 star hotel. Having half amenities compared to an actual 4 Star Hotel. Superior rooms which I booked needs immediate renovation. Toiletries, free water bottle were given only after calling the house keeping staff. The same menu were repeated in daily breakfast.

Five star rates with 3 star quality.The rooms are severely dated and desperately need renovation. All the furniture is old and chipping off and the rooms had an old musty smell.They apparently have a new wing in the 3rd and 4th floor but I suppose they only give them to guests who book directly with them.Only the service was good. Everything else is sub par.

Decent pub with average food. The foods not bad at all. Its just your basic pub style food with a decent selection of drinks. Mostly empty during weekdays but chill to hangout with frnds during the weekend.

So yeah 1. Was given room 612 which is actually connected to 611 with a door , so basically I could hear all the murders plans from room 611.2. Wifi rates are sick.3. So they have a new thing of collecting 1000 rupees from the guests they think they might run off. They dont collect it from everyone , only certain people. Dont how how they select , but it definitely looks like it depends on what you wear !! Disgusting place !

My first day stay in hotel today. Vallet parking is available. Spacious reception. They are taking up the query really nice manner. Covid time they wont allow outside food and visitors. Room service will be provided . Service also fast. Nice for business travellers .

Food was okay. Service was terrible. It took many hours to serve the food after ordering. Most of the time they missed many things which was ordered and added things which was never ordered in the bill. 2 star is only for the ambiance of the restaurant. Kabab studio in the same gold Finch hotel is much better than this sanadige.

Got a good deal in goibibo 1day stay 2.8kHeard its 4 star hotel and had more expectations.Firstly I reached place early and checked for checkin time receptionist told its at 1pm but online is not updated, disappointed and sat there for 1 hr later she checked again n let me checkin at 11.45 only as room was ready already.Room has good interiors clean and king size bed.Bathroom had nice amenities clean, had cold and hot shower option. Glass bath door. Extra phone.No bath tub.Couldnt find AC remote, when entered tv had cable issue for 1 hr.Curved balcony glass with big screen looked cool but balcony is very short so glass is sealed for safety.Small sofa, work table and chair , mini fridge Digital locker, cupboard, big mirror available.Dine in or delivery option available in house restaurant but costly as expected.

Its ok, the wall paint finishes were damp ned quality was just normal food services cutlery was bad. Bakery items on buffet was really bad.

This pub is small in comparison to the other places in manglore, the food is moderate and the ambience fails to impress. It is a good place to chill out and the music is good.A good time to go will be Saturday nights as the crowd will come on that day

Enjoying a weekend break in the top pub What we got confounded all expectations. Wonderful ambience, great staff and the food was off the scale. Massive menu, all beautifully presented and huge portions. But wallet parking not good totally unsatisfied . Some personal belongings missing . Try to improve basics.

Awesome Hotel and Staff’s......This was my Third time staying at Gold finch Mangalore, The beds are comfortable, breakfast was amazing, and enjoying your food in a wonderful restaurant is unmatched! Staff is super friendly and attentive especially Mr. Devaraj from front desk was really helpful who made my stay memorable. A great value for a four star hotel..... Will definitely visit again on my next trip

Stayed here for a total of 4 days. The overall experience was average. My main motive of writing this review is to highlight the rude customer service and behaviour of the reception staff, Ms. Shradha. She was extremely rude while check-in and was super pretentious during check out as I was given a feedback form! There was also a guy at the reception who spoke rudely over the phone while I had asked him to shift me to an executive room at the 7th floor. It was not taken care of, in spite of my initial request while making the reservation, a few days back (Shradha did not agree this although I have an email from them! ) .Room service was good. Rooms were hygienic. Breakfast was average. The restaurant situated in the 8th floor was good. There is no gym/swimming pool as can be seen in the website.PS: It is better to make reservation through MMT as they will not give you any benefit as can be seen on the website if reservation is made directly, such as a meal credit of 200INR etc.Reception staff needs to be more courteous to the guests!!

Place was nice but a bit overcrowded. TBH it was 31st Dec eve so can be understood. Music is OK. Prices are fair.

Good music, good lighting , drinks are a bit on the expensive side, food is average for the price range .Music and vibe makes up for the other shortcomings and the dance podium and dj are amazing.

Had booked online, no proper information given regarding room.They gave two single beds n had to adjust with 10 yr old kid.They had given free for 10 yr kid n once we checked in we were told we need to wait till tomorrow as guests were full or need to pay for extra bed.Never expected this .very bad

They have ZERO sense of covid -19 precautions. Theres NO contactless system at checkin. we were asked to fill forms, show ID proof in person (they advertise that they scan it without touching) ..... nothing of that sought. To add to this..... they even offer a welcome drink touched around...in tray to all! Highlight of the experience is : COMMON BUFFET breakfast! where everyone is eating in a closed room without mask(obviously). its not kept outside room during this pandemic (as is done at other hotels).

Very old property with poor maintenance, even linens are old and torn off. In dining is not good but restaurant food is better.Overall it was a wrong choice to book here. But no other option had to book them.
