Shravanvelagol (Kannada: 4) is a city located in the Hassan district. It is located 157 km away from Bangalore. It is a famous Jain shrine. In Kannada, well means white, gol means lake. Due to a beautiful white lake in the center of the city, it got the name Belgola and then Shravanabelagola. This place is situated between Vindhyagiri and Chandragiri.
