Craftsmen still assemble ships out of wood, for local or international clients, and you can feel free to watch them work. Mandvi Port Gate is a place where I got to see a lot. When you enter from the gate, you get an amazing view of the expansion of the ocean, the ship anchored at the port and the dissolution of Rukmavati in the ocean.

I was surprised to see how many wooden boats were built.
